Mary Louise Wade, daughter of Evan Prock and Lalla Gardner Prock, was passed away on March 2, 2007, in Springfield, at the age of 71.
Mary was a resident of Springfield for the past 10 years moving from Texas. She was a real estate broker. Mary was a successful business lady in the real estate industry in Dallas, Texas. She enjoyed traveling and reading, but her greatest joy in life was her children, grandchildren, family, friends and pets. While raising her family on East 58th Street in Kansas City, several of her children's friends knew her as "Mom" in the neighborhood. She was a member of the Blue Ridge United Methodist Church of Raytown.
Mary and William Ray Wade where united in marriage in Douglas County, and to this union two children were death by her parents; her children's father, William Ray Wade; a sister-in-law, Neva Prock; two brothers, Gene and Jason Prock; and a sister, Evelena Beasley.
She is survived by one daughter, Carol Gourley and husband, Darryl, one son, William Bruce Wade, all of Springfield; five grandchildren, Lee Wade, Arizona, Zach Gourley, Kingman, Kan., Brittany Wade, Springfield, Nick Gourley, Kingman, Kan., and Angelica Wade, Springfield; one great-grandson, Ben Gourley, Kingman, Kan.; two brothers, Ken Prock and wife, Linda, Wasola, and Ted Prock and wife Phillis, of Blue Springs; one sister, Betty Henderson of Chicago, Ill.; a sister-in-law, Norma Prock, Lake of the Ozarks; several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services for Mary were held Tuesday, March 6, at 10 a.m., in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating. Cemetery, Wasola. Memorials can be made to the Family Violence Center of Springfield.
Services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home Ava.
Alice Jewel Pruett McCullough, 86

Alice Jewel Pruett McCullough born at Dogwood, Mo., on Feb. 28, 1920, the daughter of Alvah and Violet Mae Pruett.
The second eldest of nine children, she helped with the care of her younger brothers and sisters after the married Olen McCullough on June 24, 1940, in Dogwood. They divorced in 1961, but continued to care about each other's well being.
They had three daughters, all death by her parents; an infant brother, Paul, and her eldest brother, Johnny; a sister, Mary Williams; sons-in-law, Gary Nestegard and Terry Hodges; and a great-grandson, Tyler Nestegard.
She is survived by her three daughters, Jewel Henneman and husband, Bob, Judy Timlick and husband, Dick, and Emma Mae Hodges, all of Kalispell, Mont.; eight grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nadine Barker and Goldie Bryant, of Seymour; three brothers, David Pruett, Springfield, Bill Pruett and wife, Edna, of Nixa, and Aaron Pruett and wife, Bonnie, of Seymour; a sister-in-law, Evelyn Pruett, of Columbus, Ga.; and many nieces and nephews and other loved ones.
Funeral services were held March 2 at Easthaven Baptist Church, Kalispell, Mont., with burial in Glacier Memorial Gardens.
Dale H. Walker, 77

Dale H. Walker, 77, a beloved husband and father, of Raymore, born April 11, 1929, near Girdner, in Douglas County, the youngest of six children, to L.W. Walker and Flossie (Hudson) Walker. Dale attended school at rural Kolb School and was graduated from the Ava High School with the class of 1947.
After graduating he left Douglas County and worked in the fields of Illinois and Iowa, later enlisting with the Air Force and was stationed at Kelley Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas, earning the rank of staff sergeant. While in the service Dale met a young lady who worked at a watermelon stand. It wasn't long until Dale and Alice Fields were death by his parents, an infant brother and two infant sisters, and a sister, Ruth Maxine O'Neal.
Funeral Services were held Tuesday, March 27, at Mount Moriah and Freeman Funeral Home in Kansas City, with burial following in the Mount Moriah born Oct. 27, 1911 in Peace Valley, Mo., the 11th of 13 children. Inez departed this life March 30, 2007 in Rocky Ridge Manor, Mansfield, at the age of 95.
Inez was a resident of Mansfield, for 6½ years and a former resident of Ava. Inez was baptized in the Baptist faith. She was a member of The Order of the Eastern Star Ava Chapter #47 and was past worthy matron in 1967/1968.
On Dec. 24, 1937, Inez and Lester Jenkins were united in marriage in Hartville. She was a housewife and worked with her husband, Lester, in the Chief Freight Lines and later with the Chevrolet Co. in Seymour. She enjoyed gardening and especially caring for her iris. She and Lester loved being outdoors and being with family.
Inez was preceded in Interment followed in the Ava born Nov. 27, 1975, in Mansfield, and departed this life April 8, 2007, at the age of 31.
Dean was the son of Vernard "Vern" L. Deatherage Sr. and Wilma (Johnson) Potts.
Dean was a life long resident of Ava. He was a substitute teacher at the Gainesville Schools. He loved the kids and teaching the Gainesville students.
He had received the following degrees from Drury University: BSC, BSP and BSS. Dean was enrolled for higher education and was hoping for a law degree. He enjoyed teaching, traveling, and eating his Uncle John's Monster Cookies. He had a zest for life that all will remember. He lived life to the fullest.
Dean is survived by his father, Vernard "Vern" L. Deatherage Sr. and Kathleen, of Ava; his mother, Wilma (Johnson) Potts, Mansfield; two brothers, Noah Deatherage, Selma, Ala., and Vernard Deatherage Jr., Farmington; maternal grandmother, Opal Johnson, Ava; paternal grandmother, Nora Deatherage Hunsaker, Mansfield; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
Services will be 4:30 p.m. Thursday, April 12, at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Oren Alcorn officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 4 p.m. until service time. Cemetery.
John Henry Grisham, 70

John Henry Grisham, son of James Joseph "Jim" Grisham and Letha Killion, was born.
He enjoyed riding motorcycles, fishing, listening to bluegrass music and spending time with his grandchildren.
John was preceded in death by his father, mother, one brother, Donnie Ray and one sister Bonnie May.
He is survived by his wife, Joy of the home in West Plains; one son, Rick Grisham and wife, Trish, state of Michigan; two daughters, Kathey Fish, and Patty Ellis and husband, Brent, all of West Plains; one sister, Sue Brewer and husband, Donald, and one sister-in-law, Freda Grisham, all of West Plains; one brother-in-law, William Dale Sanders, Gainesville; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Memorial services will be held today (Thursday) at 7 p.m. at the South Fork Church near West Plains, with the Revs. Bill Jolliff and Mike Morris officiating. John's body was donated to the School of Medicine, Gift of Body Program, University of Missouri-Columbia.
