Lester McClary, the son of James William McClary and Docia Ann (Berry) McClary, was death by his parents; two brothers, Bob Wilson and Harry Latham McClary; and two sisters, Odetta and Martha McClary.
He is survived by his wife, Mary Leota McClary; his son, James McClary and wife, Deborah, Drury; one daughter, Betty Carter and husband, Averill, West Plains; five stepchildren, Quinten Russell, Norwood, Selba Russell, Dora, Faun Lee Russell, Dora, Sybil Russell, Dora, Juanita and James Rackley, West Plains; one sister-in-law, Ruby Wilson, Mtn. Grove; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 7, in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Robert Grisham officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m. in the funeral home. Military honor services will be performed by American Legion Post 112 and VFW 5993.
Memorials may be made to the Special Needs Unit of Brooke Haven Healthcare, West Plains.
Carol Streeter, 50

Carol Streeter, daughter of Bill and Lorraine (Pickert) Daniels, was passed away of breast cancer on July 4, 2006 at the age of 50.
Carol was a resident of Ava, for the past eight years, moving here from North Carolina. Carol and Stephen Streeter were born.
Carol loved gardening, flowers, writing, and raised dogs in kennels. She was a member of the Latter-day Saints Church in Ava.
Carol was preceded in born April 21, 1926, the son of Thomas Earl Ferguson and Myrtle Marie (Berry) Ferguson, and departed this life July 17, 2006, at the age of 80.
Chalmer was a resident of Rogersville since 1997. Chalmer was employed as a sheet metal worker and was a foreman with Valley Aluminum and New England in Fresno, Calif. He was also employed as a ranch foreman. Chalmer served his country during World War II with the U.S. Army and was a member of the VFW in Mtn. Grove. He was a Protestant.
On April 24, 1948, Chalmer and Sylvia Brightstar Hayes were united in marriage in Las Vegas, Nev., and to this union a daughter was death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife, Sylvia, of the home, Rogersville; his daughter and her husband, Sylvia and Harold Helton, Marshfield; a special man, who was like a son, James, and a very special foster grandson, Matt; two brothers, Bill Ferguson, Ava, and David Ferguson, Prineville, Ore., three sisters, Pauline Powers, Shirley Orum, both of Prineville, Ore., and Mary Off, of Arizona; a sister-in-law, Elva Burruss, Sarcoxie; several nephews, nieces, and brothers and sisters in Christ.
Graveside services will be at 10 a.m. today (Thursday, July 20) at the Yates born Aug. 5, 1927, near Seymour, and departed this life Friday, July 21, 2006, in Harry S. Truman Memorial Veteran’s Hospital in Columbia, at the age of 78.
On Oct. 24, 1952 he was united in marriage to Sybil Lee Everett, and to this union a son and a daughter were death by his parents and three brothers, Richard Heckendorn, John Heckendorn, and Jack Heckendorn.
“Puss” is survived by his loving wife of almost 54 years, Sybil, of the home; a son, Richard Keith Heckendorn, and his wife, Jill, of Ava; a daughter, Vicky Denney, and her husband, Bruce, of Ava; a granddaughter, Kalie McHaffie, and her husband, Cody, of Rogersville; three grandsons, Colby Heckendorn, of Chicago, Ill., Ryan Denney, of Springfield, and Shawn Denney, of Ava; one great-granddaughter, Allison Denney, of Springfield; one brother, Gordon Heckendorn, and his wife, Sue, of Seymour; two sisters, Janie Carpenter, of Seymour, and Clarice Henderson, of Arkansas City, Kan.; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
He was Cemetery under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harry S. Truman Memorial Veterans Hospital in Columbia, in care of the funeral home at P.O. Box 366, Seymour, Missouri.
Jessie L. Coy, 84

Jessie L. Coy, daughter of Carl and Lottie (Rippee) Hatfield, was born. Jessie became a Christian at the age of 17 years. She was a member of the Freewill Baptist Church.
Jessie enjoyed cooking, canning and taking care of the household. She loved being with her family.
Jessie was preceded in married 40 years.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patsy and Darrell Lakey, Ava; two grandchildren, Janell Lakey, Brent and wife, Jennifer Lakey, and one great-grandson, Matthew Lakey, all of Ava; as well as a host of relatives and friends.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, with the Rev. Oscar Cunningham officiating. Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday, from 7 to 8 pm in the funeral home. The family requests memorials to the Dobbs born Sept. 10, 1940, in Bertha, Mo., and departed this life Aug. 3, 2006, at the age of 65.
Evelyn was a life long resident of the Ava area. On June 20, 1958 Evelyn and William W. Croney were united in marriage in Ava, and to this union three children were death by her father, and her husband, William, in 1996.
She is survived by her mother, Pearl Cook, Ava; three children, Tammy Sanders, West Plains, Rick Croney, Ava, and Angela Lane, Clarksville, Tenn.; six grandchildren, Robbie Lane, Clayton Presson, Ronnie Croney, Ricky Croney, Tracy Fitzgerald and William Croney; six step-grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services were held Monday, Aug. 7, at 2 p.m., in the Clinkingbeard Chapel with the Rev. Marvin Loftin officiating. Cemetery. The family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society.
