Daisy Burrow

Daisy May Burrow, 55 of Clarkton, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002 at Three Rivers Health Care North.

Born Sept. 7, 1946 in Malden, Mo., daughter of the late Lee Calvin and Alice Pearlee Rodgers Bryant. She was of the Pentecostal Faith.

Survivors include her husband, Virgil Ray Smart of Clarkton, a son, Frank Edwards of Gosnell, Ark., a daughter, Alice Morgan, of Clarkton, and a brother Adam Bryant of Osceola, Ark., and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Joey Lee Edwards.

Services were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Malden. Rev. J.C. Joyner officiated.

Wilma Cantrell

Wilma A. Cantrell, 83, of Wichita, Kan., formerly of Kennett, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002 at Meridian Nursing Home in Wichita.

Born Feb. 28, 1918 in Kennett, daughter of the late Martin and Stella Wilburn Crites.

Survivors include a son, Harry Cress, and his wife, Virginia, of Kechi, Kan., and a sister, Hallie Dean of Little Rock, Ark., six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services were held on Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett with Rev. Ira Singleton officiating.

Junior Crisel

Junior Crisel, 75 of Kennett, died Thursday, Jan. 24, 2002 at Baptist Hospital in Union City, Tenn.

Born June 9, 1926 in Des Arc, Ark., son of the late Charles and Gladys Rather Crisel. He was preceded in death by his wife Genevieve Dutton on Nov. 17, 1990 and his step-brother Bobby Dan Rather.

Survivors include a son Steve Crisel of Vacaville, Calif., two daughters Bonnie Gushard of Union City, and Cheryl Sisco of Chicago, Ill., three brothers, Pete Crisel of Kennett, Bud Crisel of Scottsdale, Ariz., and Chuck Crisel of San Jose, Calif, seven grandchildren and four great-grand children.

Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 27 at 3:30 p.m. at Oak Ridge cemetery in Kennett. Rev. Tommy Swift officiated.

Minnie Duncan

Minnie Lavern Duncan, 66 of Wardell, Mo., died at Sikeston, Mo. on Friday, Jan. 25, 2002.

Born Feb. 20, 1935 in Swift, Mo. the daughter of Clara Bell Hart Rudd of Wardell and the late James Felma Rudd. She was united in marriage to William D. Duncan on Nov. 2, 1951 in Piggott, Ark. He preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1999.

Survivors include two daughters Mary Ann LaLumandiere of Portageville, Mo. and Diane Hamm of Pascola, Mo., a granddaughter Alisha Pearson of Pascola, three brothers James Rudd of Wardell,, Roy Rudd of Bentonville, Ark., and Ricky Rudd of Wardell, five sisters, Pearline Stone of Harvell, Mo., Emma Young of Fairdealing, Mo., Shirley West of Wardell, Bonnie Brooks of Perryville, Mo. and Barbara Blurton of Wardell.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at 2:30 p.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo. with Bro. Mike Tinnon and Bro. Dewayne Roberts officiating. Burial was in the Mt. Zion cemetery at Steele, Mo.

Pall bearers were Tony and Harvey Young, Dean Stone, Robert West, Stanley Miller and Ronnie, Chris, and David Rudd.

Vesta England

Vesta England, 80 of Rector, Ark., died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002 at Arkansas Methodist Hospital of Paragould, Ark.

Born March 31, 1921, daughter of the late Henry H. and Mary Emma Huckabay. She was preceded in death seven brothers and three sisters.

Survivors include her husband, Bennie F. England of Rector, three daughters Patricia Mills of Fayetteville, Ark., Brenda George of Desoto, Mo., and Laurel Susan Hitt of Nashville, Ark., and one sister Lucy Essman of Rector.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 at Mitchell Funeral Home in Rector with Rev. J.D. Self officiating. Burial was at Woodland Heights cemetery in Rector. Pall bearers Kendale Hudgins, Kelli Mills, Jennifer Schwammlein, Melissa Gibson, Andrea Hitt, Darla Neely and honorary pall bearers were Stephanie Kenney and David George.

Ruth Foster

Ruth Foster, 98 of Kennett, died Saturday, Jan. 26, 2002 at the National Health Care in Kennett.

Born on August 31, 1903 in Dyer County, Tenn, she is the daughter of the late Mancell and Ethel May Keddic Taylor. On Nov. 19, 1922 in Dyersberg, Tenn., she married Leonard Foster, who preceded her in death. She was preceded in death by one son, Leonard Foster, Jr., three brothers, Joe Taylor, Roy Taylor, and James Taylor, and one sister, Ila Fair.

She is survived by one son, James Foster and his wife Kay, of Rector, Ark., five grandchildren, Clifton Southard, James Foster, Jr., Shawn Southard, Andre Foster, and Carla Raschke, and four great-grandchildren Genesis Southard, James Raschke, Clifton Southard, and Samantha Mason.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at the McDaniel Funeral Chapel in Senath at 11:00 a.m. with the Rev. James Warbington officiating. Burial was in Senath cemetery.

Anthony Graue

Anthony Shayne Graue, 25 of Hayti, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2002 in St. Louis, Mo.

Born on Sept. 4, 1976 in Hayti, son of Doug and Mary Graue. He was a member of the Hayti Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Gladys Graue.

Survivors include his parents, brother, Jamie Graue, grandfather, James Albert Graue and his niece Ann-Marie Graue all of Hayti.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 26 at 2 p.m. in the Hayti High School Multi Purpose Building in Hayti with John Mark Wilson officiating. Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery in Hayti.

Pall bearers were Trey Mitchell, Chris Turnage, Jamie Vaughn, Jason Perry, Mike Davis, Steve Nazarenis, Brad Pate, Robert Whitener, Chris Hall, Stan Mackin, Randy Tomlin, Ken Grady and Zack Stevens.

Peggy Hawkins

Peggy Shipman Hawkins, 74 of St. Louis, Mo., formally of Cardwell, Mo. died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 in St. Louis.

Born on June 28, 1928 in Cardwell, Mo. She served as a secretary at Kennett High School from 1958 to 1963. She is survived by her husband of 26 years, Jerry Hawkins of St. Louis, three sons, Michael Shipman, Philip Shipman and Greg Shipman, all of St. Louis, step-sons Steve Hawkins and Stan Hawkins of St. Louis, and Gena Swearingen of Sedalia, Mo., two sisters, Nadine Casey Dunnigan of Springfield, Mo. and Dorothy Smith of Clarence, Mo., and four grandchildren.

A memorial service was held in St. Louis.

Ronnie Hicks, 55 of Steele, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at the Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Lorene Howell

Lorene Fields Howell, 92 of Pascola, died Friday, Jan. 25, 2002 in Kennett.

Born June 19, 1909 in Obion, Tenn., daughter of the late Frank and Maggie Smith Farris, she was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Joyce Rudd of St. Louis, Mo., and Gay Nell Wilkerson of Pascola, two sons James Fields of Pascola, and H.L. Fields of Festus, Mo., a step daughter of Pascola, three nieces, eight grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and two step-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held today, Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at 11 a.m. in the John W. German Funeral Home Chapel in Hayti, Mo. with Bro. Mike Tinnon officiating.

Burial was in the Woodlawn cemetery in Hayti.

Pallbearers were Steve, Terry, James, Matt, and Tyler Rudd, Lee Thibeauet and Greg Duffy.

Zena Hunter

Zena P. Hunter, 95 of Gideon, died Friday, Jan. 25. 2002 at the Gideon Care Center.

Born on Oct. 26, 1906 in Marion County, Ark. daughter of the late Justus Phillips and Malinda Elnora Carson Phillips.

On March 27, 1954, in Gideon, she married Joseph E. Hunter who preceded her in death on Feb. 22, 1971.

Survivors include her step daughter Betty Kohrs and her husband, Wayne, of Branson, Mo., granddaughter Kelley Lynn Hubble, of Phoenix, Ariz., two grandsons, Wayne Kohrs, Jr. of St. Louis, Mo., and Martin Kohrs of Wentzville, Mo. and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 28, 2002 at the Bradshaw Funeral Chapel in Malden with the Rev. Robert Morgan officiating.

Burial was at Memorial Park in Malden.

Mary James

Mary James of Campbell, formerly of Marked Tree, Ark., 97, died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002 at the Piggott Community Hospital.

Arrangements incomplete with Landess Funeral Home of Campbell.

Minnie Allen

Minnie Allen, 89, of Kennett, died today, Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2002, at National Health Care in Kennett.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete with the Bradshaw Funeral Home of Kennett.

Carolyn Davis

Carolyn Davis, 94, of Malden, Mo., died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002, at the Malden Nursing Center.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Macedonia MB Church in Malden.

Funeral services will be held at 12 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at the Macedonia MB Church with the Revs. Larry Simmons and Margaret Smith Williamson officiating.

Burial will follow at the Rosewood cemetery in Malden.

Bradshaw Funeral Home of Malden is in charge of arrangements.

Ronnie Hicks

Ronnie Eugene Hicks, 55, of Blytheville, Ark., died Tuesday, Jan. 29, 2002, at Twin Rivers Regional Medical Center in Kennett.

Born May 25, 1946, in Rives, Mo., son of the late Stacy B. and Lorene Baugus Hicks, he was an auto boby repairman.

Survivors include companion, Mary Ellen Mask, of Blytheville; one son, Stacy James Hicks, of Blytheville; three daughters, Teresa White, of Granada, Miss., Laura Neal, of Athens, Ohio. and Rhonda Gray, of Dell, Ark.; two brothers, Jackie and Clayburn Hicks, both of Blytheville and five grandchildren, Nicole and Keith White, both of Granada, Cassie and Deven Neal, both of Athens and Ashley Gray, of Dell.

Visitation will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today, Wednesday, Jan. 30, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home in Steele, Mo.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, at the Bradshaw Funeral Home Chapel.

Burial will follow at the Mt. Zion cemetery in Steele.
