Betty J. Dent was born Aug. 23, 1931 in a farmhouse south of Rocky Comfort. She passed away Feb. 9, 2001. She was of the Baptist faith.
Betty worked 14 years on a dairy farm in Kansas and nine years in a garment factory in Iowa.
She is survived by two daughters, Kiali, 9, and Alanna, 5, of Oto, Iowa; her dad, Doug Kirkpatrick of Madison, Iowa; and paternal grandparents of Mapleton, Iowa.
