Dalpha Marie Harmon
Nov. 17, 1924-April 17, 2008
Dalpha Marie Harmon, 83, of Anderson, Mo., formerly of Pineville, Mo., departed this life on Thursday, April 17, 2008, at the Golden Living Center in Anderson, Mo.
Marie entered this life on Nov. 17, 1924, born to the union of Dan and Elizabeth (Browning) Iler. She was united in marriage to Murphy Clayton Harmon and together they shared several years before his passing on Feb. 17, 2002. Besides being a devoted homemaker, Marie also worked for the Tatum’s Department Store in Anderson. She was a member of the Jane Church of Christ.
She is survived by a brother, Danny Iler Sr. and wife, Inez, of the state of Ohio, and Sandra Sprayberry of Haysville, Kan.; a son, Donald Gasser of Southwest City, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Graveside funeral services for Nola Maxine Gasser were 2 p.m. Monday, April 28, 2008, in the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City with the Rev. Benny Lukens officiating. The family received friends before the service on Monday from noon until service time at the Ozark Funeral Home in Southwest City, Mo. Virgil V. Dean
July 7, 1928-May 5, 2008
Virgil Vernon Dean, 79, of Langley, Okla., formerly of Cassville, Mo., was called to heaven at 12:15 a.m. on Monday, May 5, 2008, at the Veterans Hospital in Fayetteville, Ark., following an illness.
Virgil began his journey on July 7, 1928, in Tulsa, Okla., one of seven children born to the late Charles Everett and Sarah Olive (Handy) Dean. He was raised in West Tulsa, Okla., and graduated from Webster High School. Virgil enlisted into the United States Navy when he was only 17 years old and proudly served his country during World War II. Virgil married Norma Lucille Robbins on Dec. 24, 1946, at Tulsa, Okla., and to this union two children were born. Norma preceded Virgil in death on July 30, 1996. Virgil married Barbara Frye on April 3, 2004, at the Roaring River State Park in Cassville, Mo. He was the owner of the Seven Valley’s Motel in Cassville, Mo. Virgil had an incredible thirst for knowledge and learning new things. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church in Disney, Okla.
Virgil was preceded in death by his parents; his loving wife, Norma Lucille Dean; three brothers; three sisters; and a step-son, Lloyd T. Frye.
Surviving family include: his loving wife, Barbara Blanche Dean of the home; a son, Paul Edward Dean and wife, Tracy, of Tulsa, Okla.; a daughter, Fay Marie Havlick and husband, Max, of Villa Park, Ill.; eight grandchildren, Sandra Fay Kimball and husband, Gene, of Kellyville, Okla., Christopher Allen Thomas and wife, Robin, of Kellyville, Okla., Roy Dean Thomas and wife, Katie, of Kellyville, Okla., Michael Sean Dean Sr. and wife, Kimberly, of Tulsa, Okla., Charles Aaron Dean of Tulsa, Okla., Matthew Vernon Dean and wife, Monica, of Tulsa, Okla., Mark Bedell Dean of Tahlequah, Okla., Gale Gardner Jr., Noah Michigan; five great-grandchildren; a brother, Warren Wright and wife, Merl, of Ditmer, Mo.; as well as a host of other family and friends.
Graveside funeral services for Arthur LeRoy Wright are 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2008, in the Anderson Cemetery in Anderson, Mo. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 16, 2008, from 6 until 8 p.m. in the Anderson Chapel of the Ozark Funeral Homes.
