Mooney, Francis C. September 12, 2003
Francis C. Mooney, age 88, of the Golden Beach Community, Barnett, born January 29, 1915 in Walnut, Kansas, the son of Cortez Lee and Bessie Alice Price Mooney. He was united in marriage on March 23, 1946 with Ruth A. Eakins, who survives of the home. Mr. Mooney was a fabrication foreman and retired from Charles Air Force Base, South Carolina. He was a U.S. Army Air Force Veteran of World War II and served on seven campaigns. He was a member of Golden Beach Community Church, 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, and member of the Order of the Eastern Star. In addition to his wife he is survived by one son, Terry Mooney of Barnett, MO; one daughter, Alice M. Hudson of Savannah, GA; one sister, Dortha Bridgewater of Corpus Christi, TX; nine grandchildren and six great-granddaughters. Memorial Funeral and Masonic Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, at the Golden Beach Community Church near Barnett, with Rev. Dub Scott-Inlow and the Eldon Masonic Lodge officiating. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the Golden Beach Community Church or to the Lake Regional Hospital Cancer Fund. Arrangements were under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Bennett, Earl September 16, 2003
Earl Bennett, age 81, of Sunrise Beach, born March 17, 1922 in Independence, Missouri, the son of Joseph A. and Carrie C. Ferguson Bennett. He was united in marriage on November 10, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas with Mary Evelyn Wilkerson. Mr. Bennett was retired from Trans World Airlines, a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, member of the American Legion Zack Wheat Post #624 in Sunrise Beach, the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie and the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife, Mary Evelyn Bennett of the home; one brother, Carl Bennett of Kansas City, Missouri; one sister, Betty Newell of Sulfur Springs, Arkansas, and many friends. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 18, at the Shrine of St. Patrick Catholic Church in Laurie, with Father Fred Barnett officiating. Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.

Hoskins, Delbert Leo September 12, 2003
Delbert Leo Hoskins, age 79, of Versailles, born February 26, 1924 in Morgan County, MO, the son of Joe S. and Jerusha Ellen Bailey Hoskins. He was united in marriage on October 30, 1952 with Wilma O. Dowell, who preceded him in born. On October 19, 1985 he death by two brothers, Jack and Almon Hoskins, and three sisters, Dica Harley, Gladys Bellamy and Alma Strothers. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 15, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Rev. Gary Petty officiating. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Assembly of God Church in Versailles. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Sauerwein, Joyce September 5, 2003
Joyce J. Sauerwein, age 73, of Stover, born July 29, 1930, in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Gus and Margaret Drinning Eckenfels. She death. Mrs. Sauerwein enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren and loved her dog “Pepper”. She is survived by two sons, Gary Hollandsworth and William Hollandsworth of Stover; three daughters, Brenda Hollandsworth and Rhonda Bailey of Potosi, MO and Connie Miller, of Stover; three brothers, August Eckenfels of Stover, Carl Angel of Gerald, MO, and Bobby Eckenfels of Hannibal, MO; three sisters, Barbara Eckenfels, Dorothy Quick, and LaVerne Cole, all of St. Louis, MO; fourteen grandchildren and seventeen great-grandchildren, and many other relatives and friends. There are no services planned. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Lesher, Charles "Bernie" September 6, 2003
Charles Bernard “Bernie” Lesher, age 67, of Gravois Mills, born February 15, 1936 in Kansas City, Kansas, the son of John Joseph and Stella Marie Marcott Lesher. He graduated from Bishop Ward High School in Kansas City, Kansas. He was retired from General Motors and worked in Kansas City and St. Louis. After moving to the Lake of the Ozarks he was active in various local organizations and the Chamber of Commerce. He is survived by his companion, Neelie Lyman of Versailles; one daughter, Heidi Magana of Lenexa, KS; one son, Timothy M. Lesher of Norton, KS; one brother, Paul Lesher of Kansas City, KS; three sisters, Bettye Jackson of Tulsa, OK, Mary Catherine Keller of Acworth, GA, and Marjorie Looney of Chickasha, OK; 4 grandchildren, many other relatives and friends. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 10, at the Kidwell-Garber Laurie-Sunrise Beach Chapel in Laurie, and from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 12, at Maple Hill Funeral Home in Kansas City, Kansas. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday at Maple Hill passed away Wednesday evening, September 3, 2003 at his home. He was Interment under the auspices of the American Legion Zack Wheat Post #624 of Sunrise Beach will be in Garber Memorial Estates passed away Wednesday evening, September 3, 2003 at Lake Regional Health System in Osage Beach. She was death by her sister Ellen May Grapes. Memorial Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, September 6, 2003 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral home in Versailles. Mrs. Longstreet was cremated. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
