Kenneth Walton Ehren
Kenneth Walton Ehren, age 65, of Versailles, Missouri born December 12, 1939 in Aurora, Illinois, the son of Walton and Jean Kaminsky Ehren. On June 15, 1968 Kenneth was united in marriage to Barbara DuPere who survives of the home. Kenneth was a retired school teacher after more than 40 years. He had an EDD in Science Education and was employed by the public schools of Missouri, Kansas, and Illinois. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Versailles and enjoyed politics and sports. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Ehren of the home; one son, Michael Kenneth Ehren of Columbia, MO; one daughter Carol Wilson and husband Keith of Little Elm, Texas; one brother David Ehren of Oak Forest, Illinois; one granddaughter, Emma Leigh Wilson; three nieces Becky Cavey and husband Scott, Jennifer Johnson and husband Jeff, and Christine Ehren; one nephew, John Ehren and wife Kimi, many other relatives and friends. Memorial Services will be 10:00 A.M. Friday, October 21, 2005 at the First Baptist Church in Versailles with Dr. Todd Forman officiating. Inurnment will be in the Versailles passed away Friday evening, January 13, 2006 at the Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was married John Kincaid, and later death by her parents, Samuel and Adella Carver, and her step-mother Lessie Carver; four brothers, Carl, Samuel, Alfred and Herbert Carver, and four sisters, Dora Phillips, Bertha Vogt, Mary Kincaid, and Clara Miller. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 16, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles, with Rev. Ellen Hoff officiating. Cemetery. Casketbearers will be Kim James, Steve James, Kory James, Dane James, Terri Walters, and Carl Carver. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions are suggested to Gravois Mills United Methodist Church. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Amos Weaver Shirk
Amos Weaver Shirk, age 58, of Versailles, born September 1, 1947 in Bowmansville, Pennsylvania, the son of Elias and Nancy Weaver Shirk. He was united in marriage on April 9, 1970 with Amanda Burkholder Leinbach. Amos was a warehouse manager at Goods Variety Store near Versailles, and an agent for Century 21 Landmark Realty. He was a member of the Versailles Mennonite Church (EPMC). He is survived by his wife, Amanda Shirk of the home; four sons, Elvin Shirk of Barnett, Leon Shirk and wife Susanna, of Versailles, Nelson Shirk of Barnett, and Daniel Shirk and wife Rebecca, of Versailles; three daughters, Ruth Shirk of Barnett, Mary Kathryn Zeiset, and husband Vernon, of Chambersburg, PA, and Susan Shirk of the home; his parents, Elias and Nancy Shirk of Elkton, KY; three grandchildren, Lyndel Shirk, George Zeiset and Lucia Zeiset; ten brothers, Reuben Shirk and Raymond Shirk, of Barnett, Benjamin Shirk of Middleburg, PA, Samuel Shirk and Noah Shirk of Liberty, KY, Eli Shirk of Withee, WI, David Shirk of Barnett, Jason Shirk of Liberty, KY, John Shirk and Weaver Shirk of Cerulean, KY; six sisters, Lena Shirk of Elkton, KY, Ida Shirk of Cerulean, KY, Emma Zimmerman and husband Reuben, of Barnett, Bertha Brubaker and husband Daniel, of Elkton, KY, Rachel Martin and husband Henry, of Elkton, KY, and Nancy Shirk of Cerulean, KY; a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in Interment will be in the Versailles Mennonite Church passed away Saturday, December 10, 2005 at Good Shepherd Care Center in Versailles. She was death on July 18, 1984. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church of Versailles since November 11, 1923, where she was an active member in many groups and organizations. She was active in the family business of the Firestone Store, Morgan County Oil, and was secretary and treasurer of Morgan County Gas, Inc. Shirley is survived by one son, William H. Bauer and his wife Diann, of Versailles, Missouri; one daughter, Carolyn E. Swartz and her husband Bill, of Aurora, Missouri; seven grandchildren, Bobbi Gail Birdsong, Beth Ann Bauer, Barrie Joy Bales, Danielle Rae Bauer, Pam Fly, Steve Swartz and Jay Swartz; eight great grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and her husband she was preceded in Interment will be in the Versailles passed away Friday afternoon, November 4, 2005 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. She was death in 1973. In 1977 she death in 1997. Mrs. Kubick was a homemaker, worked for the Midland Company in Fairfax, Kansas, and retired from Kroger Grocery. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Laurie, and a volunteer at West Side Senior Center in Laurie. She is survived by two daughters, Sharon Sue Arnold of Kansas City, KS, and Deborah Lynn Ingerson of Tonganoxie, KS; her mother, Myrtle Clark of Lenexa, KS; one sister, Violet Marie Minton of Lenexa, KS; 11 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in passed away Monday, January 9, 2006 at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. He was death on April 17, 1995. Wilbur Clos owned and operated Jeanie’s Bait Shop and Lakeland Bait & Ski Shop in Sunrise Beach for over 40 years. He attended the Westside Senior Center and was a U.S. Army Air Corp veteran of World War II. Survivors include two sons, Lawrence C. Clos, of Springfield, MO, and Ronald Clos, of Jefferson City, MO; two daughters, Diane Franklin, of Camdenton, MO, and Susan Swab, of Olathe, KS; one sister, Donna J. Bishop, of Eldridge, MO; six grandchildren, Christopher and Andrew Franklin, Jacqueline and Grace Swab, Patrick and Brook Clos, and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, January 14, 2006 at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Laurie with Herb Baker officiating. Full Military Honors & Cemetery. Casketbearers are Ronald Clos, Lawrence Clos, Patrick Clos, Christopher Franklin, Chris Franklin, Andrew Franklin, and Stephen Swab. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. to funeral time. All friends and family are invited to a reception following the services at the Westside Senior Center 1501 Hwy O near Laurie, MO (573) 372-3588. Joseph A. Miller
Joseph A. Miller, age 74, of Gravois Mills, born September 15, 1931 at St. Louis, Missouri, the son of Jack J. and Lucille Mica Miller. He was united in marriage on April 10, 1953 in St. Louis, Missouri, with JoAnn A. Brand, who preceded him in Entombment will be at a later date in Garber Memorial Estates Columbarium in Laurie. The family will receive friends from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Laurie.
