Eddie J. Harley
Eddie J. Harley, age 61, of Gravois Mills, born May 4, 1946, in Corning, Arkansas, the son of Edgar F. and Leopha McKinney Harley. He was united in marriage with Jackie Stone on February 14, 2000, in Las Vegas, Nevada. Eddie worked for Ameren as a maintenance supervisor until his retirement after 31 years. He was enjoying his retirement, ranching. He was a U.S Army veteran of the Vietnam War. He is survived by his wife Jackie of the home; two daughters, Amber Michele Russell of Beaumont, Texas and Kaytie Jo Harley of Houston, Texas; three grandchildren, Joey and Olivia Russell and Taylor Harvey; his mother, Leopha Harley of the home; one sister, Jean H. Harper of Selah, Washington; and many other relatives and friends. A memorial service with full military honors will be held at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, February 12, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Laurie with Bishop Evan Connell officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to S.T.A.F.F. in Laurie. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.

Jerry C. Bradford
Jerry C. Bradford, age 69, of Versailles, born April 27, 1938 at Fayetteville, West Virginia, the son of Francis and Celeste Neal Bradford. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, coached and was very active with Little League Baseball, Little League Soccer, and the Cub Scouts. He loved gardening, working with wood, and helping others. He is survived by his wife, Billie Ellen Bradford, of the home; his children, William Ross Bradford of Kansas City, MO, Vicky Lee Parsons and husband Kevin, of Atlanta, GA, Angela Ritter of Ozark, MO, Troy Bowline and wife Jana, of Ozark, MO, and Gayle Blecher of Buffalo, MO; one brother, Doug Bradford and wife Marcella, of Summersville, WV; eleven grandchildren, Travis Stewart, Jessica Andrews and husband Jimmy, Joshua Little, Holly Donaldson and husband Dustin, Sarah Pruitt and husband Clint, Cody Peitz, Lauren Bowline, Callie Bowline, Jason Bradford, Mandy Bradford, and Amber Ness; twelve great-grandchildren, Parker, Payton and Brady Donaldson, Clayton Pruitt, Jordan McKensie Little, Alexis Ness, Tanner and Emma Stewart, Gage Bradford, and Kylie, Kayla and Carlye, many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in passed away Friday afternoon, January 18, 2008 at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. She was death by her father Elza Fisher, and one brother Robert Dale Fisher. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, at the Fortuna United Methodist Church, with Rev. Robert Bullock officiating. Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, January 21, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Brenda Woolery Memorial Fund. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

Janetta Faye Silvey Shackelford Drace
Janetta Faye Silvey Shackelford Drace, age 89, of Versailles, born April 29, 1918, in Versailles, the daughter of the late Albert E. and Lula Kinney Silvey. She was united in marriage on December 23, 1936, with Orel Shackelford who preceded her in death on October 4, 1996. Faye worked as a machine operator for Primo Pants and Lamy’s. She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church where she was active in the Women’s Ministries. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, gardening, and especially being with her family. She is survived by one son, Dale Shackelford and wife Pat of Versailles; four daughters, Ellen Elsea and husband Buddy of Stover, Darlene Patterson and husband Larry of Sedalia, and Willa Stafford and husband Floyd, and Patty Forrest and husband Ray both of Versailles; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; thirteen great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Phineas Silvey of Versailles; two sisters, Lois Holst and Gertrude Bias both of Versailles; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was preceded in Interment will be in the West Lawn Addition of the Versailles passed away Wednesday evening, January 16, 2008 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was death by his father, Carl Vinson Ashby Sr. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Cemetery near Versailles. Casketbearers will be Brad Shubert, Jason Ashby, Colten Jones, Brandy Sweet, Wes Coleman, and Lee Knot. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Carl Ashby Memorial Fund or the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.

William M. “Bill” Garber
William M. “Bill” Garber, age 78, of Kansas City, born July 15, 1929 near Versailles, MO, a son of Edwin R. and Elizabeth Diener Garber. He was united in marriage on August 31, 1957 in Versailles with Mary Kathleen “Kathy” Barbour. Bill was as a mechanic for Trans World Airlines for several years prior to his retirement in 1991. He was a member of the International Brotherhood Machinist and the Aerospace Workers Local 142. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War and member of Park Hill Christian Church in Parkville. He is survived by his wife Kathy of the home; one son, Billy B. Garber and wife Sandra, of Kansas City, MO; one daughter, Rebecca D. Imokhome and husband Dan, of Kansas City, KS; four grandchildren, Deb, Kemi, Lola, and Wole Imokhome; five brothers, Raymond Garber and wife Susanna, of Versailles, Robert Garber and wife Martha, of Watha, N.C., Dennis Garber and wife Marvelene of Tipton, Edwin Garber (Jr.) and wife Nadine, of Tipton, and Homer Garber and wife Twila, of Versailles; five sisters, Ina Mae McCormick and husband George, of North Ireland, UK, Lena Alexander and husband Dick, of Promise City, IA, Velma Reiss and husband Robert, of Osage City, KS, Mary Gehman and husband Dan, of Lewistown, MT, and Rosella Fulks of Latham, numerous nieces and nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in Interment will be in the Bethel passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, at the Laurie Care Center. He was death by his brother, James Long. There are no memorial services planned at this time. Arrangements are under the direction of the Kidwell-Garber Laurie/Sunrise Beach Chapel.
