Kathelene Holloway
Kathelene Holloway, 61, of Mt. Moriah, Mo., died Tuesday, Sept. 28, 2004, at Quail Run Health Care Center, Cameron, Mo.
Mrs. Holloway was born Feb. 19, 1943, in Mt. Moriah. She was a homemaker. She married Dale Holloway on Oct. 15, 1940, in Bethany, Mo., at the United Methodist Church. He survives of the home.
She was a member of the 4-H and attended the High Point Church when younger.
Her parents, James and Eva (Alexander) Hartness, preceded her in death.
She leaves sons Bryan Holloway and wife Jeana, Bethany, James Holloway and wife Amy, Pattonsburg; daughters Kathy Hall and husband Gary, St. Joseph, Linda Holloway, Olathe, Kan., and five grandchildren, Garrett, Elissa, Andrew, Emily and Garyn.
Funeral services were Saturday at Bethany Memorial Chapel. Burial was in Goshen Cemetery.

Roberta Long
Roberta Long, 100, of Bethany, Mo., died Sept. 30, 2004, at a Bethany hospital.
Mrs. Long was born May 14, 1904, in Harrison County, Mo., the daughter of Charles and Myrtle A. (King) Hacker. She married Robert Donald Premer, who preceded her in death. She married Fred Long who preceded her in death in 1972.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Harrison County Genealogical Society, the Harrison County Historical Society, the Bethany Garden Club and she was also involved with the Harrison County Senior Center. She also was a member of the first Christian Church, Bethany.
She leaves a daughter, Lenoir Taff, and husband, Clyde, Leon, Iowa; a son, Louis Premer, Waterloo, Iowa; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, and eight great, great grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two sons, William 'Bill' Premer and Robert L. 'Bob' Premer; a brother, Otis W. Hacker; four grandchildren, Patsy Ann, Joe and Michael Premer, and Phillip Sullivan, and a great granddaughter, Lindy Michelle Sheppard.
Funeral services were Sunday, Oct. 3, at the Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany. Burial was in the Miriam Cemetery, Bethany.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church and/or the Bethany Garden Club in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 46, Bethany, MO. 64424.

June R. Hunsicker
June R. Hunsicker, 97, of Hatfield, Mo., died Wednesday, Sept. 29, 2004, at a Des Moines, Iowa hospital.
She was born Dec. 10, 1906. She was the daughter of Joseph Relland and Nannie Belle (Todd) Hunsicker.
She was a school teacher for 50 years. She taught business and math in Missouri, Iowa and Kansas.
She leaves three brothers, Estel Hunsicker, Liberty, Mo., Evert Hunsicker, Bethany, Mo., and Harland Hunsicker, Eagleville, Mo., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 6, at the Roberson Funeral Home, Eagleville. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery, Eagleville.

Ann Slatten
Carolyn Ann Darnell Slatten, 50, Leawood, Kan, formerly of Bethany, Mo., died Thursday, Sept. 30, 2004, at a Shawnee Mission hospital.
Mrs. Slatten was born Feb. 4, 1954, in Moses Lake, Wash., to Caroline Darnell. She lived there until 1975 when she and her mother and aunt moved back to their native Harrison County, upon their retirement.
On Sept. 6, 1986, she married Ronald Slatten in Bethany. He preceded her in death on Nov. 26, 2002. They had homes in both Bethany and Leawood.
She was a member of the Morris Chapel United Methodist Church and was a beautician.
She also was preceded in death by her grandmother, Muriel Darnell, who helped raise her; her mother Caroline Darnell, and her uncle, John Darnell.
Funeral services were Monday, Oct. 4, at the Roberson Funeral Home, Bethany. Burial was in Miriam Cemetery, Bethany.

Mardele F. Luck
Mardele F. Luck, 81, died October 28 in Sacramento, Calif.
Mrs. Luck was born November 9, 1922 in New Hampton, Mo. Her parents were Almon C. and Laura E. (Ebersole) Anthony.
She graduated from Martinsville High School and when a young girl left this area, living first in Kansas City and later moving to California.
Besides her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Myron J. Luck; one infant son, two younger sisters, Marilyn and Joann Anthony; and one brother, Morris D. Anthony of Colorado.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Luck and Alan Luck, four grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren, all of Sacramento, Calif.; one brother Robert B. Anthony of New Hampton, Mo.
Graveside services were held November 4 in Sacramento, Calif.

Pearl Lavoun Zinn
Pearl Lavoun (Watts) Zinn, 96, died November 18 at the Hardin County Hospital in Rosiclare, Illinois. She had been residing at the Pope County Care Center in Golconda, Ill. since October of 1997.
Mrs. Zinn was born March 2, 1908 in Kellerton, Iowa. She attended Mount Ayr High School in Mt. Ayr, Iowa, graduating in 1926.
After graduation, she taught at Shady Grove School, a one-room country school located in Ringgold County, Iowa.
On October 15, 1929 she married Raymond Byron Zinn at Beaconsfield, Iowa.
After their marriage, Pearl and Raymond were engaged in farming and owned and operated a farm in Ringgold County, Iowa, until 1967 when they moved to Bethany, Mo. Here they celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary in 1993.
They belonged to the First Baptist Church located in Bethany, Mo. Pearl was also a long-time member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, in 1995; two brothers, Max Watts, Omaha, Neb., and Marion Watts of Chariton, Iowa.
She leaves behind a sister, Gladys Harsh of Centerville, Iowa; a son and daughter-in-law, Gene and Muriel Zinn, Simpson, Ill.; four grandchildren, Karl Gene Zinn, Fulton, Mo., Kurt Ray Zinn, Hoover, Ala., Sandra Lee (Zinn) Brandt, Steedman, Mo., and Eric Marvin Zinn, Kefalari, Greece; six great grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
Mrs. Zinn was cremated and a "Celebration of Life Service" was held at the United Methodist Church, Glendale, Ill., on Saturday, November 27, 2004. Burial was at the Miriam Cemetery, Bethany, Mo.

Milo Clarence Vinzant
Milo C. Vinzant, 76, Maryville, Mo., died Tuesday, November 23 at Heartland Regional Medical Center in St. Joseph, Mo.
He was born April 1, 1928, in Pickering, Mo. to Rollie and Allie (Emery) Vinzant. They preceded him in death.
He married Ramona Lucille Langley on March 17, 1951 in Maryville, Mo.
Mr. Vinzant was employed by Nodaway County and worked on the bridge crew.
Also preceding him in death: son, Billy Jo Vinzant; brothers, Buck and Rollie Vinzant, Jr.; sisters, Violet Marie Vinzant, Goldie Thacker, Ruby Sturm and Agnes Hilsenbeck.
He is survived by his wife, Ramona; daughter, Barbara Jean Vinzant, St. Joseph; son, Michael Vinzant and wife, Rhonda, Maryville; four grandchildren, one great grandchild, sisters, Margaret Stratton, Bethany, Mo., and Shirley Wiederholt, Hearne, Texas; several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Vinzant was cremated. Graveside services and burial were Saturday, November 27 at Nodaway Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Maryville, Mo.
