Gertrude L. Keeton, 86, Harrisonville, died March 17, 2008.
She was born Jan. 27, 1922, in Yates Center, Kan., the daughter of Vernie Lee and Velma Pansy (Flanery) Short.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
Services will be at 1 p.m. March 22 at Hathaway-Peterman Funeral Home, Wheatland, with burial in the Dooly Bend Cemetery.

Richard W. Martin Sr.
Feb. 3, 1947 - March 10, 2008
Richard W. Martin Sr., 61, Harrisonville, died March 10, 2008.
He was born Feb. 3, 1947, the son of Robert Kelly and Mildred (Hartman) Martin.
Surviving are his wife, Karen; daughters, Denise Osborn and Dawn Crawford and husband, James; a son, Richard Martin Jr.; his brothers, Bruce and Keith; and grandchildren, Robert Osborn, Alexandra and Brooke Crawford.
Services were March 14 at Park Lawn Funeral Home.

Jackson Dale Rodgers
Dec. 27, 2007 - March 16, 2008
Jackson Dale Rodgers, infant son of Dale and Beth Rodgers, Belton, died March 16, 2008, at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
He was born Dec. 27, 2007, in Overland Park, Kan.
Jackson is survived by his parents; a brother, Alexander Rodgers; a twin sister, Lucy Rodgers; his grandparents, Dennis and Donna Rodgers, Greg Stearman, Karen Sue Coin, Michael and Nancy Null; great-grandparents Dale and Joyce Blue, Dean and Lois Knibb, James Rodgers, Imogene Nall and Orval and Rosemary Null.
Services were March 17 at the Cullen Funeral Home.
Burial was in Belton Cemetery, Belton, under the direction of Cullen Funeral Home, Raymore.
Memorials may be made to Children’s Mercy Hospital NICU.

Lillie Ross
April 16, 1929 - March 11, 2008
Lillie Ross, 78, Rich Hill, died March 11, 2008.
She was born April 16, 1929, in Round Pond, Ark., the daughter of William Lee and Lillie Mae (Roberts) Porter.
Cremation.
No services sched­uled.
Inurnment was in Green Lawn Cemetery, Rich Hill, under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Charles J. Ash Jr.
Feb. 17, 1958 - Oct. 7, 2002
Charles Jean “Chuck” Ash Jr., 44, Jenks, Okla., died Oct. 7, 2002, at his home.
He was born Feb. 17, 1958, in Kansas City, the son of Charles Jean Sr. and Emma Jean (McBride) Ash.
On March 5, 1977, he married Lorraine Norris in Garden City.
He was a welder by trade for 25 years beginning his career at Technical Design Mfg. in Broken Arrow, Okla.
He graduated from Sherwood High School, Creighton, in 1976.
He had lived in Garden City before moving to Tulsa, Okla., in 1980 and later to Jenks.
Preceding him in death were his mother, Erma, and an infant brother, Joseph Wayne Ash.
Surviving are his wife, Lorraine Ash, of the home; a son, Casey Joe Ash, Jenks; a daughter, Sara Diane Ash, Tulsa; his father, Charlie Ash, Adrian; two brothers, Bill Ash and his wife, Myrtie, Florence, and John “Duke” Ash, Adrian; a sister, Teresa Ryan, Atwater, Ky.; and many relatives and many friends.
Cremation.
Memorial services were Oct. 10 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Garden City, with the Rev. John Kukovich officiating.
Inurnment was in the Garden City Cemetery, Garden City.

Inez M. Gaylord
Sept. 7, 1920 - Oct. 13, 2002
Inez M. Gaylord, 82, formerly of Amoret, died Oct. 13, 2002.
She was born Sept. 7, 1920, in Hays, Kan., the daughter of Sheldon and Berniece (Martin) Beebe.
Services were Oct. 16 at Coffel-Schneider Mangold Chapel; burial was in Benjamin Cemetery.
Make memorials to the Heart Association or Golden Years.

Ricky B. Jones Jr.
Dec. 31, 1966 - Oct. 10, 2002
Ricky Byron Jones Jr., 35, Lee’s Summit, died Oct. 10, 2002, near Carthage.
He was born Dec. 31, 1966, in Joplin, the son of Ricky Byron Sr. and Clora Fae (Goodnight) Jones.
On July 3, 1986, he married Michelle Marie Reed in Lee’s Summit.
Mr. Jones was employed as a cabinetmaker for Thompson Cabinet Company, Lee’s Summit.
He was a Marine Corps veteran and a 1985 graduate of Harrisonville High School.
He moved to Harrisonville in 1967 and later to Lee’s Summit in 1987.
He was an outdoor person who enjoyed fishing, camping and hunting.
Surviving are his wife, Michelle M. Jones, and a daughter, Britny Jones, both of the home; his mother, Fae Jones, Harrisonville; his father and stepmother, Rick B. and Darlene Jones, Kansas City, Kan.; three brothers, Frank L. Jones, Harrisonville, William “Bill” D. Jones, Archie, and Clay S. Jones, Rich Hill; his paternal grandfather and step-grandmother, James M. and Rosemary E. Jones, Edgerton; and his paternal grandmother, Mary M. Troth, Camdenton; and other relatives and many friends.
Cremation.
Services were Oct. 14 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville, with the Rev. Kyle Evans officiating.
Military services were under the auspices of the Harrisonville Honor Guard.
Inurnment was in the Orient Cemetery, Harrisonville, under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Britny Jones College Fund.

Raymond Ed King
Raymond Ed King, 77, Garden City, died Oct. 16, 2002, at Camden Health Center, Harrisonville.
Funeral arrangements are pending under the direction of the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Maxine Kircher
Maxine Kircher, 83, Cleveland, died Oct. 14, 2002, at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville.
Services were Oct. 17 at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Crossroads Hospice or the American Diabetes Association and may be left at the Dickey Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Stanley Joseph Miller

Stanley Joseph Miller, 71, Harrisonville, died Oct. 9, 2002, at Crown Care Health Center, Harrisonville.
He was born Sept. 25, 1931, near Joplin.
Surviving are a son, Jerry Miller, Jefferson City.
Cremation. Services were Oct. 15 at the Cleveland Baptist Church.

Ervine “Erv” R. Freeland
Ervine “Erv” Raymond Freeland, 84, Peculiar, died Oct. 15, 2002, at Research Medical Center, Kansas City.
Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon Oct. 19 at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville.
Services will be at 12 p.m. Oct. 19, at the Atkinson Chapel.
Burial will be in the Peculiar Cemetery, Peculiar.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.

Opal Lee Bowman
April 5, 1908 - Sept. 1, 2000
Opal Lee Bowman, 92, Harrisonville, died Friday, Sept. 1, at Camden Health Care Center, Harrisonville.
She was born April 5, 1908, in Collins, the daughter of Thomas and Effie (Tucker) Boswell.
Mrs. Bowman had lived in the Weaubleau and Collins area all her life until moving to Harrisonville three years ago.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Bowman; and two sons, James Black and Ronald Bowman.
Surviving are a brother, John Boswell, Weaubleau; a sister, Gertrude Winders, Warrensburg; and three grandchildren.
Graveside services were Saturday, Sept. 2, at Maple Wood Cemetery, Exeter, with the Rev. Jerry Yarnall of the First Baptist Church of Exeter officiating.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Atkinson Funeral Home, Harrisonville.
