Carl V. Ashby Jr., Versailles

Carl Vinson Ashby Jr., 48, of Versailles, born March 22, 1959, in Kansas City, Kan., son of Carl Vinson Sr. and Phyllis Jeffries Ashby.
He was an automobile body repairman at Hainen Ford in Tipton for about 12 years. He later as a self-employed auto body repairman.
Also surviving are his wife, Sherri Ashby, of the home; two sons, Jason Ashby, and his wife, Hazel, of Gravois Mills, and Colten Jones, of the home; three daughters, Jessica Shubert, and her husband, Brad, of Colorado Springs, Colo., Erica Ashby and Ti-ara Jones, both of Stover; his mother, of Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Debra Ashby-Sweet, of Kansas City; and five grandchildren, Destiny, Trista, James, Skyler and Natalie.
He was predeceased by his father.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles. Pallbearers will be Brad Shubert, Jason Ashby, Colten Jones, Brandy Sweet, Wes Coleman and Lee Knot. Burial will be in Glensted died Thursday evening, Nov. 29, 2007, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital in Clinton.
She was Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Hadley Funeral Home in Windsor.

Clell E. Porter, Edwards

Clell E. “Gene” Porter, 76, of Edwards, born in Vernon County, on May 10, 1931, a son of Jack and Eula Brown Porter. He was Cemetery.
He made his home in west-central Missouri, where he worked as a meat cutter in Nevada, Mo. He was a member of the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America Local 576. He worked at locker plants in Adrian and owned and operated restaurants in Shell City and Mound City.
After his retirement, he moved to his lake home in the Arrowhead Estates, where he enjoyed fishing the lakes and streams of the Missouri Ozarks.
Also surviving are seven children, Joyce Ann, of Midland, Texas, Peggie McCanles, of Adrian, Stephanie Porter, of Caldwell, Idaho, Clovia Smits, of Edwards, Sandra JoAnn Heaton, of Coral Springs, Fla., Clell E. Porter Jr. of Kansas City; and Keith Porter, of Appleton City; 15 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorial services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.

Clyde L. Allen, Windsor

Clyde Lee Allen, 73, of Windsor, born Oct. 21, 1934, in rural Knob Noster, a son of Cletis G. Allen and Verdie Fern Staats Allen. On Nov. 4, 1956, in Windsor, he was Cemetery in Windsor. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the Hadley Funeral Home.

Carole J. Olson, Destin, Fla.

Carole J. Olson, 70, of Destin, Fla., formerly of Sedalia, born Nov. 16, 1937, in Chicago, a daughter of Elmer and Florence Jensen. In 1965, she was died May 13, 1997.
She lived in Sedalia 22 years.
Surviving are two daughters Amy Pietraz, of Columbus, Ohio, and Eve Luna, of Stowe, Pa.; five sons, Timothy Olson, of Destin, Fla., Chuck Olson, of Navarre, Fla., Jack Olson, of Niceville, Fla., Rick Olson, of Fort Bragg, N.C., and Brad Olson, of Oak Grove; two brothers, Rick Lauletta, of Signal Mountain, Tenn., and Chris Lalanda, of Pensacola, Fla.; a sister, Suzette Lalanda, of Sedalia; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at H.T. May and Son Funeral Home in Sedalia, with the Rev. Jennifer Baker officiating.
Burial will follow at Crown Hill died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2008, at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton.
She was married to Kenneth Eugene Plumlee, who survives of the home.
She was a member of Ozark Tabernacle Church of rural Cole Camp. She was a homemaker and enjoyed flower gardening, making candles and crocheting. For several years, she owned and operated This Little Light Candles and Gifts in Lincoln. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren and listening to Southern gospel music.
Also surviving are a daughter, Rhonda Van Nice, and her husband, Gregory, of Hannibal; a son, Timothy Plumlee, and his wife, Christina, of Warsaw; two sisters, Lois Powers, of Dixon, and Ada Lee Walker, of Lebanon; five brothers, Derrald Decker, of Tunas, Arthur Decker, Harold Decker and Herbert Decker, all of Lebanon, and Curtis Decker, of Michigan; and six grandchildren, Bryan Plumlee, Brittani Plumlee, Leslie Doil, Crystal Van Nice, Laura Van Nice and William Van Nice.
She was predeceased by a son, Kenneth Edward Plumlee, on April 28, 1973; a daughter, Mary Christine Plumlee, on March 18, 1991; her parents; two brothers, George Tubner and James Tubner; and two sisters, Bernice “Toots” Meyers and Grace Jones.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ozark Tabernacle Church in Cole Camp with the Rev. Johnny Medlock officiating. Pallbearers will be Timothy Plumlee, Gregory Van Nice, Herbert Decker, Arthur Decker, Derrald Decker, Curtis Decker and Harold Decker. Burial will be in Inman Memorial Cemetery in Cole Camp. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home in Cole Camp.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the family, in care of the funeral home.
