The greatest man I ever knew
Was liked by many, probably even you.
He went by names given by others
To Kay he was friend, partner and lover.
My wife called him Daddy
My daughter called him Pawpaw,
To me he was the only saint I saw.
He was an original "good old boy"
Yet to his grandkids he was a big toy.
He was the "hero" kind of man
Never failing to lend a helping hand.
He has gone home to be with his mom and dad
Surely, one of the greatest reunions heaven has ever had.
He may have just been Wayne Lockhart to you
To me, he was the greatest man I ever knew.
