Funeral services for Fay M. Chapman, 82, of Ozark were held Thursday, July 19, at Ayre-Goodwin-Lee Funeral Home at Rivermonte. Burial will be at a later date in Lynwood, Wash.

Memorial services for Thomas L. Fagan, 68, of Cape Coral, Fla., formerly of Bakersfield, were held June 9, in Cape Coral with Rev. Tommy Richards officiating.

James K. Polloway, 1943-2001
James K. Polloway, 57, of Isabella died Wednesday, July 25, 2001. He was born Aug. 14, 1943, at Oak Park, Ill., the son of Jack and Agnes (Pleen) Polloway. He married Jean Polloway Nov. 21, 1977, in Chicago, Ill.

Dwayne Kent Porter, 1954-2001
Funeral services for Dwayne Kent Porter, 47, of Dora were held Friday, July 27, at Barnes Family Funeral Home in Ava with Rev. Tom Johnson officiating. Burial was in the Girdner Cemetery.

Gordon Ross Shanks, 1917-2001
Funeral services for Gordon Ross Shanks, 83, of Ava were held Thursday, July 26, at Highway Church of the Nazarene in Ava with Revs. Don Graham and Dustin Ledford officiating. Burial was in the Ava Cemetery with full military honors.

Funeral services for Bryan Keith Silvey, 33, of Longrun, currently of Sullivan, were held Monday, July 30, in the Thornfield School gymnasium with Jim Kyle and Roger Butler officiating. Burial was in Longrun Cemetery.

Virgie Lee (Siler) Simpson, 1908-2001
Virgie Lee (Siler) Simpson, 93, of Mountain Home, Ark., formerly of Ozark County, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home. She was born April 4, 1908, in Brown Branch, the daughter of Frederick E. and Ann (Merritt) Siler. She married Perry Simpson Dec. 27, 1927.

Graveside services for Alta Vaughn, 76, of Central Point, Ore., formerly of Brixey, were held July 17, at Crown Point Garden at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Medford, Ore., with Pastor Lee Gregory of Medford Neighborhood Church officiating.

Hazel A. Von Behrens, 89, of Gainesville died Tuesday, July 24, 2001, at Gainesville Health Care Center. She was born May 23, 1912, in Mattoon, Ill., the daughter of Charles V. and Nancy (Butery) Lawhorn. She married Albert F. Von Behrens Aug. 6, 1930, at Mattoon, Ill.
