Oma Roberts Brown Barnhart
Oma Roberts Brown Barnhart, 88, of Caro, Mich., a native of Tuscumbia, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at Caro Community Hospital.
She was born Aug. 3, 1910, in Tuscumbia. In 1930, she was married in Crocker to Norman Brown, who died in 1971. In 1973 she was married in Caro, Mich., to Everett Barnhart, who died in 1991.
Mrs. Barnhart retired from Caro Regional Center in 1968. She was a member of the Caro United Methodist Church and was a life member of the Kedron Chapter 33, Order of the Eastern Star. She also painted and exhibited china.
Surviving her are six children, Roberta Brinkman of Unionville, Mich., Peggy Marker of Akron, Mich., Betty Brown of Caro, Mich., Agnes Sue Jayne of Tawas, Mich., Norman Brown of Louisville, Ky., and Patricia Turner of Ann Arbor, Mich.; a stepdaughter, Shirley Wakely of Troy, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucy Umstead and Juanita Marriott, both of Eldon.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Collon Funeral Home in Caro, Mich., with the Rev. Calvin Blue officiating. Burial was in the Indianfields Township Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Caro United Methodist Church or the Caro Community Hospital Endowment Foundation.

Helen F. Zuck
Helen F. Zuck, 74, of Eldon died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at Capital Region Medical Center - Madison in Jefferson City.
She was born July 11, 1924, in Lexington, Okla., to Hosie M. and Dona Melinda May Morris. On July 24, 1946, she was married in Wichita, Kan., to Chet Zuck Sr., who died Aug. 7, 1997.
Mrs. Zuck was active in the Eldon First Christian Church. During World War II, she was employed with Douglas Aircraft in Texas, Juanita Jo Miller of Stillwater, Okla., and Margie Lou Carpenter of Del City, Okla.; and two brothers, Rayfred Morris of San Antonio, Iowa, to Otto and Fern Linstead Pothoven. On June 7, 1962, she was married in New Sharon, Woods was a member of Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach, P.E.O. and the United Methodist Women of Harper Chapel.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Woods of Mendota, Ill., and Scott Iowa; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Harper Chapel United Methodist Church in Osage Beach, with the Rev. Chris Oetting officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Hedges Funeral Home of Osage Beach.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to Harper Chapel United Methodist Church or the local CADV organization.

Brad Stark
Brad Stark, 27, of St. Louis died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 1998, at his home.
He was born Oct. 26, 1971, in Tuscumbia to Cletis and Rita Louise Moulder Stark. His father survives in Brumley and his mother, Rita Moulder, survives in Camdenton.
Mr. Stark was an LPN, working in the home health care field.
Surviving him, in addition to his parents, are two sisters, Jennifer Stark of Camdenton and Sharolyn Stark of Olathe, Kan.; four brothers, David Stark of Olean, Michael Stark of Arkansas City, Kan., Jeff Stark of Newcastle, Okla., and Keith Wayne Brown Stark of Atlanta, Ga.; and his maternal grandmother, Rita Smith of Eldon.
Graveside services were held at 11 a.m. Sunday at Greenmore Memorial Gardens at Barnett with the Rev. Eldon Myers officiating. Burial was under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.

Marcy Marriott
Marcy Marriott, 82, of Eldon died Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998, in Jefferson City.
He was born Dec. 28, 1915, in Gravois Mills to John W. and Susan Mary Routon Marriott. On June 15, 1940, he was married in Otterville to Wanda Scott, who died March 30, 1988.
Mr. Marriott was a longtime employe of the Eldon School District and was a member of the Eldon United Methodist Church.
Surviving him are a son, Norman Marriott of Christianburg, Va.; a daughter, Linda Miller of Kansas City; two sisters, Bessie Wilson of Stover and Ella Hughes of Springfield; three grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Griswold-Kays Funeral Home in Eldon with the Rev. Eldon Myers officiating. Burial was in the Eldon Cemetery.

Harold R. Wolfe
Harold R. Wolfe, 77, died at his home in Bethell, Wash., on Saturday, Nov. 21, 1998.
He was born Dec. 15, 1920, in Eldon to Hargett and Jennie Ellen Harvey Wolfe. In 1942, he was married in Long Beach, Calif.; and a brother, Logan Wolfe of Eldon.
One son, William Wolfe, preceded him in death.
The body has been cremated and will be returned to Eldon at a later date for interment. Local arrangements are by Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon.

Fannie Gunn Templeton
Fannie Gunn Templeton, 95, of North Las Vegas, Nev., died Nov. 14, 1998.
She was born Sept. 15, 1903, near Barnett to H.D. "Dick" and Daisy Jones Gunn. On Aug. 5, 1938, she was married in Tacoma, Wash., to John D. Templeton.
Mrs. Templton was graduated from Eldon High School in 1923. She taught school in Miller and Morgan counties but had been a resident of Las Vegas for 44 years.
Surviving her are a daughter, Ann Bryan of Las Vegas, Nev.; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Satler of Clear Lake, California, Mo.; and three brothers, Paul Gunn and Rex Gunn, both of Barnett, and Roscoe Gunn of Romney, W. Va.
Burial was in Woodlawn Cemetery in Las Vegas on Nov. 18. Grandsons and great-grandsons were pall bearers.

Opal O. Witten
Opal O. Witten, 85, of Eldon died Wednesday, Sept. 22, 1999, at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City.
She was born April 4, 1914, in Etterville to Samuel and Della Mae Williams Wyrick. On March 25, 1948, she was married in Tuscumbia to Robert M. Witten, who died Feb. 17, 1985.
Mrs. Witten was a member of the Old Path Baptist Church near Eldon and attended Eldon First Baptist Church. She lived in Kansas City, Kan., prior to moving to the Eldon area in 1980.
Surviving her are two daughters, Sue Kaiser of Eldon and Carolyn Sears of Meridianville, Ala.; a son, Thomas D. Tillery of Wilmington, Del.; a brother, Floyd Wyrick of Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Lucille Howard of Kansas City, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Joey and Robert J.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home in Eldon with the Rev. Jerry Nelson officiating. Burial was in Spring Garden Cemetery near Eugene.
