LoraBelle Wagner
LoraBelle Wagner, daughter of John Seth Zumwalt and Ina Laquey Zumwalt, was born March 25, 1918 near Richland. She departed this life Nov. 9, 2003 at Murrieta, California in 1941 where she met and married Willard "Wag" Wagner on July 16, 1944. They lived in Lakewood, California in June, 1977.
LoraBelle was preceded in death by her husband Willard "Wag" Wagner, two brothers, and three sisters. She is survived by three daughters and their husbands, Margaret and Gary McCray, Johnnie and Joe Francis, and Mary Jo Wagner and Ed Keenan. Also surviving are six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
A graveside service was held at Loma Vista Memorial Park in Fullerton, Missouri in Clark County.
On August 27, 1965, James was united in marriage with Marjorie Ann Osbon. James and Marjorie were blessed with five sons: James, David, Daniel, Michael and Joseph.
In 1966, James enlisted in the U.S. Army. He served tours in Vietnam, Germany, Alaska and installations all over the continental United States. For his honorable and faithful service, he was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal with three bronze service stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Army Commendation Medal with seventh oak leaf cluster, Drill Sergeant Identification Badge, Mechanic Badge, Army Good Conduct Medal sixth award, Overseas Service Ribbon third award and the Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon third level. Staff Sergeant Haage retired from his military career in 1986.
Upon retirement, James went to work as a millwright in the Fort Madison, Missouri, at the age of 55 years.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Marjorie of the home and five sons: James Haage and his wife, Sheila of Goodlettesville, Tenn., David Haage and his wife, Marcella of Ft. Campbell, Ky., Daniel Haage of Burlington, Iowa and Joseph Haage of the home. He also leaves four sisters: Mary Beck of Lake City, Missouri, was in Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery, Waynesville, Texas, Brenda Finch, Springfield, and Mary Harrison, Lake Worth, Missouri, at the age of 73.
Johanna was a wonderful wife and mother. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Paul and two sons: Paul McCoy, Jr. and Danny McCoy all of Dixon. She also leaves one brother, Steve Hirsch and his wife, Judy of Nixa and one sister, Helen Alexander of Dixon; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Johanna was also preceded in death by one brother: Johnny Hirsch and one brother-in-law: Jimmy Alexander.
A funeral service was held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, July 6 at the United Methodist Church in Dixon with Rev. Wilbur Warman officiating. Pianist, Becky Lercher sang, "Amazing Grace." Serving as escorts were Jim, Danny, Steve, Oscar and Justin Alexander and Allen Bullock. Brett and Jeremiah Alexander served as honorary escorts.
Burial was in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

CSM (Ret) Lionel Gene Welker
CSM (Ret) Lionel Gene Welker, son of the late Clarence and Verna (Redford) Welker, was born Dec. 7, 1939 in Clarkton.
On May 7, 1975, Lionel was united in marriage to Kyu Y Kim in Seoul, South Korea. They enjoyed over 29 years of marriage together.
Lionel served his country in the U.S. Army attaining the rank of Command Sergeant Major. After retiring from the Army, he was employed as a prison guard for the Department of Corrections in Licking.
Lionel passed away the evening of Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2003 at St. John's Regional Health Center in Springfield at the age of 63.
Lionel will be sadly missed by his wife, Kyu Welker of the home; two sons, one daughter, two grandsons, one brother, two sisters, several other relatives and friends survive.
A graveside service with military honors was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 26 at Sunset Memorial Estates Cemetery's columbarium with Chaplain OCPT) Andre D'Arden officiating. Services were under the direction of Waynesville Memorial Chapel.

Neoma Ruth Wolf Rowden
Neoma Ruth Wolf Rowden, daughter of William E. and Elizabeth B. Wolf, was born April 1, 1903 in Independence.
On July 27, 1922 she was united in marriage with John Walter Crick and to this union were born four daughters. John Crick preceded her in death on May 7, 1934. On Oct. 1, 1936 she was united in marriage with Florence C. Rowden who had one daughter.
Neoma accepted Jesus as her Savior at an early age and was baptized April 11, 1945 into the Richland First Baptist Church. She was active in her church and was implemental in establishing the Grace Baptist Church.
Her hobbies were crocheting, playing cards, politics, working puzzles, taking long car rides and watching basketball and Cardinal baseball.
Her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ took Neoma to her eternal heavenly home on Monday, May 12, 2003 in North Little Rock, Ark., having attained the age of 100 years.
She is survived by four daughters, Vivian Vaughan and husband Wendall of Lakewood, Calif.; nine grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren, and three great-great grandchildren. She also leaves several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two husbands; two brothers; one sister; one son-in-law, Bob Gore; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Rowden were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 1 2003 at Colonial Chapel, Richland, with Dr. Michael Hawkins and Pryor Ray Prewett officiating. Escorts were Phil Peters, Travis Prewett, Victor Vaughan, Mike Gilbert, Johnny Ray Prewett, Richard Newell, Jeffory Gore and Dennis Gore.
Burial was in Oaklawn Cemetery, Richland, under the direction of Thieme-Shadel-Hicks Funeral Service at Colonial Chapel, Richland.

Virgil August Luebken
Virgil August Luebken, son of Gustav A. and Vera M. Ercazeale Luebken, was born Dec. 29, 1927 in Flagler, Colorado and departed this life May 10, 2003 in Columbia at the age of 75 years.
On Feb. 14, 1958 he was united in marriage with Bonnie Watts, and of this union six children.
Virgil served his country with the United States Navy and United States Army from May 8, 1945 until he was honorably discharged Dec. 31, 1967. Following his discharge, he was employed as a supply clerk with civil service at Ft. Leonard Wood. He enjoyed playing the guitar, but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Virgil was of the Lutheran faith.
He is survived by his wife Bonnie of the home; four daughters, Deborah Willams and husband David of Rolla, Marilyn Sue Brand, Roanoke, Al., Sandra Kay Robinson and husband Noel Dean of Waynesville, Mabel Lee Jones of St. Robert; one son, Freddie Joe Jones of Crocker; one half brother, Larry Smith, state of Arizona; one sister, Alice Mae Carr, Fairbury, Neb.; one uncle, Anton Luebken, state of Arkansas; 14 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter Beverly Jean Jones; an infant twin sister, Vera Luebken; one sister Shirley Ann Moran; and one half sister, Linda Lee Luebken.
Funeral services for Mr. Luebken were held at 2 p.m. Wed., May 1, 2003 at Colonial Chapel, Richland, with Minister Chris Robinson officiating.
