Madge Wilson

Madge Marie Wilson, 90, 306 N. Connor Ave., died at 12:15 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10, 1997, at a Galena (Kan.) nursing home after a long illness.

Mrs. Wilson was born Dec. 12, 1906, at Row, Okla. She was a longtime Joplin area resident. She was a waitress, a homemaker and a member of Blendville Christian Church, Joplin.

She married Sidney E. Wilson at Joplin. He died in August 1987.

Surviving are two daughters, Raydeen Moore, Joplin, and Geraldine Morris, Santa Barbara, Calif.; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

The body will be cremated.

No services are planned.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mason-Woodard Mortuary.

Waldo Baker

TIFF CITY, Mo. - Waldo C. Baker, 91, Tiff City, died at 1 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, at a Grove (Okla.) nursing home after a long illness.

Mr. Baker was born Nov. 9, 1905, at Jacksboro, Texas. He moved in 1934 to Missouri's Ozarks region. He was a self-employed farmer and a member of Lanagan (Mo.) Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses. He was a presiding overseer and elder for the Grove, Southwest City, Mo., and Lanagan Jehovah's Witnesses' congregations.

He married Mabel GoLightly on April 14, 1927, at Olton, Texas. She died Feb. 17, 1996.

Surviving are six sons, Waldo Baker Jr., Stockbridge, Mass., James Baker, Muskogee, Okla., Buddy Baker, Ponca City, Okla., Bobbie Baker, Wallkill, N.Y., Richard Baker, Dallas, Texas, and Jerry Baker, Kansas City, Kan.; four daughters, Maxine Smith, Demorest, Ga., Jorene Boies, Ponca City, Ruth Richter, of the home, and Judy Walters, Fayetteville, Ark.; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and several great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Howard Cemetery, Grove. Joe Reut will officiate.

Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at Poplar and Second streets, Lanagan.

Arrangements are under the direction of Ozark Funeral Home, Anderson.

Pem Bricker

STOTTS CITY, Mo. - Pem H. Bricker, 76, Stotts City, died at 2:21 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Bricker was born March 26, 1920, at Crane. He was a retired small engine repairman. He was a World War II veteran. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the American Legion, both of Stotts City.

He married Pansy McDaniel on April 11, 1977, at Mount Vernon. She survives.

Also surviving are five sons, Pem F. Bricker, Boulder City, Nev., Larry Bricker, Honolulu, Hawaii, Wayne Bricker and Sidney Bricker, both of Warsaw, Mo., and Paul Bricker, Monett; a daughter, Loretta Jolliff, Lawton, Okla.; a stepson, Jim Hall, Sikeston; 31 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lakin Chapel at Stotts City. The Rev. Jim Hall will officiate. Burial will be in Goss Cemetery at Stotts City.

Family will receive friends from 6 to 7:30 p.m. today at the chapel.

Glen Brown

STARK CITY, Mo. - Raymond Glen Brown, 80, Stark City, died at 2:22 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 12, 1997, at his home after a long illness.

Mr. Brown was born June 23, 1916, at Neosho. He was a lifelong Stark City area resident. He was a farmer.

He married Helen Begando in 1941 at Pineville. She survives.

Also surviving are four sons, Hal Brown, Ronnie Brown and Larry Brown, all of Fairview, and Bob Brown, Joplin; a daughter, Connie Newdigger, Northville, Mich.; a brother, James Brown, Stark City; a sister, Mary Wright, Dallas, Texas; 15 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Clark Funeral Home, Granby. The Rev. Charles Leonard will officiate. Burial will be in Dice Cemetery, Fairview.

Pallbearers will be Jerry Brown, Dan Brown, Bill Brown, Buddy Brown, Mike Brown and Jack Foster.

The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Contributions may be made to Parkinson's disease Foundation.

Beulah Clark

STOCKTON, Mo. - Beulah Mae Clark, 91, Stockton, died at 5:20 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at Citizen's Memorial Hospital, Bolivar, after a long illness.

Mrs. Clark was born April 28, 1905, at Carthage. She moved in 1990 to Stockton from Sarcoxie. She was a homemaker and a secretary. She was a member of the former Bethany Methodist Church, north of Sarcoxie.

Surviving are a son, Donald Clark, Stockton; two sisters, Gladys Morphew and Esther Hawkins, both of Boonville; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Housh Funeral Home, Sarcoxie. Connie Johnson, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Harvey Cemetery, north of Sarcoxie.

The family will receive friends after services at the funeral home.

Larry Hayden

GOLDEN CITY, Mo. - Larry R. Hayden, 48, Golden City, died at 10:05 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at his home after a short illness.

Mr. Hayden was born Aug. 30, 1948, at Springfield. He moved to the Golden City area at the age of 10 from Ash Grove. He was a postal worker serving as a substitute carrier for 15 years before getting his own route. He was clerk for the White Oak Auction Service, co-owner of L&L; Construction Company and owned Hayden's Used Furniture. He also worked for Ziler Mercantile.

He was mayor of Golden City in 1977. He was a member of Golden City R-3 School Board for many years and served as treasurer.

He was a member of First Christian Church, Golden City, where he served as a deacon, treasurer of the church board, and was a member of the church choir. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a veteran of the Army, serving from 1969 to 1971.

He married Bonnie Wilhelm on July 19, 1969, at Golden City. She survives.

Additional survivors include two sons, Matthew Hayden and Dustin Hayden, both of the home; a daughter, Angela Vaughn, Golden City; his parents, Ray and Joan Hayden, Golden City; and two sisters, Kathryn Mizrahi, Santa Fe, N.M., and Rachel Bridgman, Joplin.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at First Christian Church, Golden City. The Rev. Carl Shearer will officiate. Burial will be in Golden City IOOF Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be George Becker, Danny Hensley, Gary Kaufman, Cecil Moore, Larry Ehrsam, Gary Gillen, Ronald Leaming and James Piepenbrink.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Pugh Funeral Home, Golden City.

Contributions may be made to Southwest Hospice or First Christian Church of Golden City, in care of the funeral home.

Nevelle Hendry

GOODMAN, Mo. - Nevelle L. Hendry, 81, 106 S. Roy Hill Blvd., died at 4:12 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11, 1997, at Freeman Neosho Hospital after a short illness.

Mr. Hendry was born Dec. 11, 1915, in McDonald County. He was a lifetime Goodman area resident. He was a member of Lone Star Church of Christ, east of Neosho. He had owned and operated a grocery store for several years in the Sweetwater community, east of Neosho.

He married Frances Whitaker on Dec. 15, 1940. She survives.

Also surviving are a son, Jerry Hendry, Neosho; a brother, Jack Hendry, Burkburnett, Texas; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Howard Cemetery, Goodman.

Pallbearers will be Vernon Shellenberger, Ed Eaton, Robert Morris and Jeff Tomasetti.

Arrangements are under the direction of Clark Funeral Home at Neosho.
