Delores House, 1933-2003
Funeral services for Delores M. House, 69, of Wichita, Kan., were Wednesday, July 16 at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Wichita, Kan.
Mrs. House died July 14, 2003. She was born Aug. 20, 1933, in Ness City, Kan.
She was a former employee of Southwestern Federal Savings and Loan, American Savings and Loan, Mid Kansas Savings and Loan, Wichita Federal Savings and Loan and retired from Emprise Bank.
Mrs. House is survived by her husband, Gerald, formerly of Gainesville; four sons, Bob House and his wife, Merrilee, of Bentonville, Ark., Tom House and his wife, Sandy, of St. Louis, Brian House and his wife, Lisa, of Dublin, Ohio, and Brett House of Arkansas City, Kan.; one daughter, Donna Debuhr and her husband, Loren, of Wichita, Kan.; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; five brothers, Kenneth Weilert, Donald Weilert and his wife, Lynn, and Delbert Weilert and his wife, Lena, all of Wichita, Raymond Weilert and his wife, Crystal, of Haysville, Kan., and Bill Weilert and his wife, Betty, of Rose Hill, Kan.; and three sisters, Norma Delaney and her husband, Jack, of Burdett, Kan., Imelda Rhodes and her husband, Mike, of Tulsa, Okla., and Teresa Robert and her husband, Eldon, of Wichita.
Memorials may be made to the Cancer Center of Kansas and St. Peter's Catholic Church.

Arthur G. Nance, 1918-2003
Memorial services for Arthur G. Nance, 85, of Eugene, Ore., formerly of Ozark County, were held April 25 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Eugene, Ore.
Mr. Nance died Aug. 15, 2003. He was born March 2, 1918, in Romance, the son of Albert and Vada (Smith) Nance. He married Clara Long in Marysville, Kan., Nov. 29, 1945.
He was drafted into the Army in 1941 and trained for chemical warfare service. He attended cooking and baking school and was promoted to mess sergeant. He later became chief clerk and a supply sergeant and served in the Pacific Theater in New Guinea and the Philippines. He was honorably discharged with the rank of technical sergeant in 1945.
He lived in Nebraska and Missouri before moving to Springfield, Ore., in 1956 and settling in Eugene, Ore., in 1957.
He enjoyed cooking and owned and co-owned restaurants, including Ron's Drive-In and Waffle Shop, The Round Table Restaurant, The Tasty Burger and the Payless Coffee Shop, from 1963 until 1984. He also worked as a probation officer, grocery store owner and salesman.
He was a handyman around the house, and his interests included fishing, golf and traveling. He served as a travel host for overseas trips with Elks Lodge 357. He was a life member of a Masonic Lodge and a member of the U.S. Veterans of Foreign Wars.
He enjoyed country music, playing cards and spending time with his lodge buddies. He especially enjoyed attending his grandsons' sports, music and drama activities at North Eugene High School. He will be remembered as always having a good story to tell.
Mr. Nance is survived by three sons, Greg Nance, Brad Nance and Lyle Nance, all of Eugene, Ore.; one brother, Alvin Nance of Scotts Valley, Calif.; five sisters, Jewell Tibbetts, Thelma Hawkins, Mabeline Bryan and Ona Amyx, all of Springfield and Norma Eslinger of Wasola; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to the Trinity United Methodist Church in Eugene, Ore.

Foster Edward Fowler Jr., 1958-2002
Foster Edward Fowler Jr., 44, of Isabella, died Nov. 16, 2002, at Baxter Regional Medical Center in Mountain Home, Ark. He was born Oct. 25, 1958, in Pinellas County, Fla., the son of Foster Edward Fowler Sr. and Lois Ann Hendricks.
He was a construction foreman.
Mr. Fowler is survived by one son, Dylan Fowler of Isabella; his father, Foster Edward Fowler Sr. of Clearwater, Fla.; his mother, Lois Ann Hendricks of Clearwater, Fla.; two sisters, Nan Hendricks of Clearwater, Fla., and Tamela Massengale of Trenton, Ga.; and one brother, John Hendricks Jr. of Holiday, Fla.

Juanita Houx
Funeral services for Juanita J. Houx, 68, of Ocie, were held Saturday, Aug. 16 at the Houx Farm in Ocie.
Mrs. Houx died Aug. 13, 2003, at her daughter's home, after battling leukemia.
She was a former schoolteacher. She retired in 1989, after teaching for 28 years at Park Hill High School as head of the Home Economics Department. She also taught at Raytown Junior High School, Platte City High School and Lutie Elementary in Theodosia. She was very active in the Platte County Fair Association.
Mrs. Houx is survived by one son, Shawn Houx and his wife, Dana, of Platte County; one daughter, Joni McCosh and her husband, Joel, of Platte County; two grandchildren, Taylor Houx and Dylan McCosh; and one brother, Earl (Buster) Snider and his wife, Joy, of Clinton County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John, and her parents, Earl and Ida (Lee) Snider.

James F. Tucker
James F. Tucker, 69, Neosho, passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2004 at his home after a long illness.
James was born March 16, 1935 in Houstontown, West Virginia to Leonard and Ruby Tucker. He was a retired truck driver working for Frontier Leasing, Joplin. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and loved to play the harmonica, fish and camp. James will be greatly missed for his great snse of humor and the love he showed.
Survivors include his wife Sharon. His son James and wife Kelly and granddaughter Sara Tucker from Thompson Station, TN; his daughter Janet and husband Greg, Step-grandson Chad and Justin Webb of Guilford, Indiana; His step-son Claude and wife Stephanie, Step grandchildren Dalan and Dayton Merrriman of Seneca. His brother Fred Tucker of Cincinnati, OH. He was preceded in death by his parents, a step-son, Greg Merriman and a step grandson, Claude Yocum Merriman.
Funeral Services under the directions of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, August 27, 2004 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Chapel. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery with former coworkers from Frontier Leasing serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 7-8 pm Thursday at the funeral home.

William Allen Stewart
William Allen Stewart, 13 months, passed into eternal rest at 3:56 PM, August 24, 2004 at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
William was born July 15, 2003 in Joplin, MO, the son of Troy and Pamela Stewart.
Survivors include; his father Troy Stewart and his mother Pamela Stewart, Seneca; Brothers, Joseph Matson, Desha, ARK, Brandon Wade Jackson, Seneca, Jason Michael Bradshaw, Seneca and sister Brittany Rose Swisher, Seneca; Maternal grandparents, Dana Johnson and Raymond Johnson and Paternal grandparents, Linda Sandlin and Arky; several Aunts and Uncles and several cousins.
Graveside funeral services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, August 27, 2004 at the Seneca Cemetery with Richard Grewell and Floyd Austin officiating.

Eudora Dean Klinger
Eudora Dean Klinger, 88, Grove, passed to be with her Lord on August 23, 2004, in Meade, Kansas.
She was born December 15, 1915 in Seneca, MO to John and Arabell Winscott.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, John. Their love affair lasted over 57 years until John’s passing in 1994. She was the last survivor of John and Arabell’s children, Ruth, Dallas, Golda, Leroy and Nelson Winscott.
She and John shared 40 years in California as partners in their construction company and retired to Grove, OK in 1983 where they spent their Autumn years in their dream home on Grand Lake.
She is survived by her beloved daughters, Sheila Rae Preedy of Meade, KS and Pamela Gay Carpenter of Raleigh, North Carolina and her grand children Michalah Ruth Preedy of Meade, KS, Alexander M. Kolosow and Krista Noelle Kolosow of Huntington Beach, CA.
She will be remembered as an elegant and dignified lady who loved her family dearly and also as a generous, loving and kind lady who left many cherished memories and family traditions.

Marvin D. Shobe
Marvin D. Shobe, 80, Grove, OK, passed into eternal rest at 5:25 PM, Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Freeman West Hospital in Joplin, MO after a illness.
Marvin was born August 25, 1924 in Maysville, Ark. the son of Clayton D. and Hazel E. Shobe. He was a cattle and crop farmer, a member of the Grove Round-Up Club and a member of Heart Baptist Church.
He married Wanda Jean Hodson March 15, 1972 in Miami, OK and she survives.
Additional survivors include two sons; Jack Shobe, Grove and Gale Shobe, Cohagen, Montana and one daughter Angela Reed, Grove; One brother, Jay Shobe, Tiff City, MO and two sisters Gwinnie Lee Brown, Orange Park, FL and Adaline Glover, Grove; One grandchild and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, September 13, 2004 at the Hart Baptist Church with Rev. John Rose officiating. Burial will be in the Olympus Cemetery in Grove. Pallbearers will be Clay Shobe, Doug Shobe, Robert Wetzel, Randy Gilbert, Dennis Wetzel and Doug Rogers.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
