Douglas L. Fuller of Kirkwood died Thursday, Dec. 22, 2005.
Mr. Fuller was a retired employee of Metropolitan Sewer District (MSD). He was the husband of Patricia Fuller (nee Rainwater); father of Annie Fuller; brother of William J. Fuller; son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, nephew, cousin and friend.
A funeral Mass was celebrated on Dec. 29, at St. Peter Catholic Church in Kirkwood. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Arrangements by Bopp Chapel.

Bernard Gaffney of Camarillo, Calif., died Wednesday, Dec. 22, 2004. He was 79 years old.
Mr. Gaffney was born in St. Louis. All of his children were born and educated in Kirkwood and Des Peres.
He was preceded in death by his wife Audrey in February 2004. He is survived by his brother Peter (Edna); five children, Tim (Maureen) Gaffney, Cathy (Von) Ringler, Teresa Fuller, Mark Gaffney, Mary (Al) Murphy; and nine grandchildren. He was interred in Camarillo.

Alice S. Gerdine died Friday, Sept. 9, 2005. She was 99.
Mrs. Gerdine was the wife of the late Leigh Gerdine, who served as president of Webster University from 1970 until his retirement in 1990. The two were married in 1962, after the death of Mrs. Gerdine's first husband, John P. Meyer IV, in 1960.
Mrs. Gerdine was a patron of the arts and tireless community volunteer. She was a longtime supporter of Opera Theatre of St. Louis, which Leigh Gerdine founded in 1975, and the Community Music School of Webster University. In 2003, she received the Arts & Education Council's Lifetime Achievement Award.
Mrs. Gerdine was the mother of Andrew S. Meyer of Webster Groves, Dr. John Meyer Sr., Philip S. Meyer, and Caroline Sant; grandmother of six, and great-grandmother of 16.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 30, 11 a.m., at the Sheldon Concert Hall, 3648 Washington Blvd. in downtown St. Louis.

Priscilla Pitkin Gilbert of Anthon, Iowa, and Webster Groves, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005. She was 79.
Mrs. Gilbert had a zest for life, with a drive and passion to experience all that it held. An amazing example of determination and fortitude, her presence will be missed by all she touched.
Mrs. Gilbert was the wife of Richard; mother of Rick (Susan) Gilbert, Rev. Virginia (Jim) Wheeler, William (Janice) Gilbert M.D. and Rod (Zoe') Gilbert, and grandmother of eight. She had many family and friends from Webster Hills United Methodist Church, Missouri chapter DAR, Chapter GC PEO and National Society of Magna Charta Dames. She was a cadet nurse in World War II, who held a deep love for her country, and proudly supported her family in the service.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, Jan. 8, 2 p.m., at Webster Hills United Methodist Church, 698 W. Lockwood Ave. in Webster Groves. Reception immediately following the service. Memorials may be made to the Webster Hills UMC-Altar Guild, or the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 102454, Atlanta, Ga. 30368-2454. Arrangements by Gerber Chapel.

Evelyn Pearl "Evie" Glaze (nee Skiver) of University City died Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005.
Mrs. Glaze was born in Charleston, Ill., on March 28, 1915, the daughter of Stella and P.B. Skiver. She moved to St. Louis when her father became regional superintendent and trainmaster for the Nickel Plate Railroad.
Mrs. Glaze graduated from Roosevelt High School and attended Stephens College before marriage and family. She worked 42 years at the St. Louis County Library, 17 years of which were at the Natural Bridge Branch, where she retired as branch head at 65. She continued to work at the library headquarters until she was 82.
Mrs. Glaze was a Girl Scout leader and leader trainer for about 25 years. League bowling was a favorite past-time for over 50 years. Her hobby was bell collecting, and she was a member and past president of the local chapter of the American Bell Association.
Mrs. Glaze was preceded in death by her parents, brother James Richard Skiver, and sister Nell M. Gerber. She is survived by daughters Roberta Jenkins and Jacqueline (William) Stack; grandchildren Colin Jenkins, Annie Jenkins and Rebecca Kless Marsh; and six great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Habitat for Humanity, 3763 Forest Park Ave., St. Louis, Mo. 63108-3311. Funeral services were held Tuesday, Nov. 29, at Gerber Chapel in Webster Groves. Interment, Memorial Park Cemetery.

John "Jack" Glennon Jr. of Des Peres died Sunday, July 3, 2005.
Mr. Glennon was a 1969 graduate of Chaminade College Preparatory School, and a 1973 graduate of the University of Dayton. He started Voice Engineering and Supply, Inc. with Frank Speziale in 2001.
Mr. Glennon loved boating, riding motorcycles and officiating hockey. He loved life and lived it to its fullest. He was the husband of Sherry Glennon (nee Groves), and father of John III, David, Alex and Grace Glennon. He was preceded in death by infant daughters Olivia Grace and Laura Michelle.
Mr. Glennon was the son of Marilyn and the late John Glennon; brother of James (Rene) Glennon, Dennis (Julia) Glennon, Gregory (Donna) Glennon and Douglas (Christy) Glennon; uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Funeral services were held Thursday, July 7, at Kirkwood Baptist Church. Interment, Forever Bellerive Cemetery. Memorials may be made to National City Bank, c/o Grace Glennon Education Fund, Attn: Cindy Delgado, 12100 Manchester Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63131. Arrangements by Bopp Chapel.

Dolores E. Godi (nee Palm) of Kirkwood died Monday, Oct. 31, 2005.
Mrs. Godi was the wife of Joseph E. Godi, Kirkwood City Council member; mother of Donna (Gary) Petri, Daniel (Susan) Dickherber, Shelli (Steve) Manley, Gregory Godi, Michael Godi, Kimberly (Scott) Schroeder and Sherri Madden; grandmother of 18; cousin of Darrell Andersen; sister-in-law, aunt, friend and neighbor to many.
Funeral services are Friday, Nov. 4, 10 a.m., at Concordia Lutheran Church, 505 S. Kirkwood Road. Interment, Forever Oak Hill Cemetery. Memorials to the Kirkwood Historical Society, P.O. Box 220602, Kirkwood, Mo. 63122; or to Concordia Lutheran Church Youth Group, 505 S. Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood, Mo. 63122.

Mervyn Goodman, a resident of Kirkwood died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2005, of congestive heart failure. He was 86.
Mr. Goodman lived in Webster Groves for 47 years, and Kirkwood for seven years. He was the retired chief financial officer of Coin Acceptors, Inc. (Coinco). He was born in Philadelphia, Pa., and came to St. Louis at age 13. He served in the 82nd Fighter Group in World War II in Italy and Africa.
After the war, Mr. Goodman earned a degree in commerce and finance from St. Louis University, and his CPA. He served 10 years as a corporate tax agent with the Internal Revenue Service, and four years at National Rejectors before joining Claude Trieman in Coin Acceptors in 1959. He retired in 1986.
Mr. Goodman was a deacon, an elder, and the scout master of Troop 300 at Webster Groves Presbyterian Church. He volunteered for 20 years at the St. Louis Zoo as a docent, a clown, and on the membership desk. He was a contact phone counselor on the suicide and hearing-impaired hotlines, and a disaster truck driver for the American Red Cross. In addition, he volunteered at Missouri Baptist Hospital.
Mr. Goodman was the husband of Eileen Russell Goodman for 60 years; father of Cheryl (Scott) Davis, Marilyn (Rudi) Holnsteiner, Patricia Polk, Glenn (Jeannie) Goodman, Michael (Kathy) Goodman, Richard (Jill) Goodman and John (Debbie) Goodman; brother of Marilyn (Henry) Salomon; grandfather of 13; great-grandfather of one.
A memorial service was held Nov. 3, at Webster Groves Presbyterian Church. His body was donated to Washington University Medical School. Memorials to Webster Groves Presbyterian Church, 45 W. Lockwood Ave., Webster Groves, Mo. 63119.

Gertrude E. Greenwald of Kirkwood died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005.
Mrs. Greenwald was the wife of the late Leroy J. Greenwald and James L. Blevins Sr.; mother of James L. (Linda) Blevins Jr. and Patricia A. (Pat) Parsons; grandmother of six; great-grandmother of 12; stepmother of Joanne (Eugene) Urban, Judy Greenwald and Leroy (Phyllis) Greenwald; stepgrandmother of 11; stepgreat-grandmother of 20; stepgreat-great-grandmother of one; sister of Ruth Gruenbaum, Norma Russell, John (Irene) Hartmann and Richard (Jean) Hartmann; sister-in-law of Evelyn Hartmann; aunt, cousin, teacher and friend.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Dec. 22, at Concordia Lutheran Church in Kirkwood. Interment, Sunset Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Concordia Lutheran Church Building Fund, 505 S. Kirkwood Road, Kirkwood, Mo. 63122. Arrangements by Forever Oak Hill Funeral Home, Kirkwood.

Rev. Barbara Louise Greer of Glendale died Sunday, March 13, 2005, with her family at her bedside.
Rev. Greer was born to missionaries Rev. Clemens and Louise Wahl on April 7, 1931, in Tilda, India. After four years, they returned to serve churches in central Ohio. In 1940, the family moved to Long Beach, Calif., before moving to North Dakota. One year later, they moved to Owosso, Mich.
Rev. Greer attended Elmhurst College (1948-52) and Eden Seminary (1953-55) to train for ordained ministry. There she met and married Rev. Arthur Greer, becoming parish wife and then Air Force Chaplain's wife, spending two and a half years on the island of Okinawa in the South China Sea.
She lived in Houston from 1966 to 1980, then moved to Missouri to serve as an associate conference minister for the Missouri Conference UCC for Leadership and Program Development. She was ordained in 1983 at Webster Groves Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) in a joint service with the United Church of Christ, and thus held ministerial standing in both denominations.
On a three-month sabbatical in 1986, Rev. Greer traveled to India and visited the place of her birth, Tilda Evangelical Mission Hospital. She lived in Washington, Mo., until moving to Glendale in 1991.
Leaving the conference office in 1995, she served as interim minister at Brentwood Congregational UCC, Pilgrim Congregational UCC and Church of the Open Door UCC before retiring in 2000.
Rev. Greer was a member of the United Church Board for World Ministries, served on the board of directors, the Long Range Planning Committee, and chaired the World Ministries in the United States committee. Widely traveled, she visited India, Europe, South Africa, China, Israel, Egypt, the Caribbean, Russia and much of the U.S. She loved to garden and visit with her children.
Rev. Greer is survived by two children, Daniel Greer of San Diego, Calif., and Julia Greer of Houston, Texas; and three grandchildren, Melisa Crisologo, Marcia Rafael and Michael Greer.
A memorial service was held March 16, at Evangelical United Church of Christ in Webster Groves. Arrangements through Gerber Chapel.

Constance T. Knaup (nee Thomas) of Webster Groves died Wednesday, March 16, 2005.
Mrs. Knaup was the wife of the late Lloyd R. Knaup; mother of Richard, Peg, Tom, Maria, Francis, Joseph, Martha, Angela, Monica, Nora and the late Andrew; grandmother of 15; sister, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend to many.
A memorial Mass was celebrated March 21, at Annunciation Catholic Church in Webster Groves. Memorials may be made to Emmaus Home, 2200 Highway D, Marthasville, Mo. 63357-9623. Arrangements by Gerber Chapel.

Thomas F. Greteman of Webster Groves died Wednesday, Dec. 7, 2005. He was 78.
Mr. Greteman enjoyed a long career in the investment business, most recently as vice president of investments at Stifel Nicholaus & Company. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II; was a longtime member of Holy Redeemer Parish; and also held many offices in the Webster Groves and Missouri State Knights of Columbus.
Mr. Greteman was the husband of Celine M. Greteman (nee McDevitt); father of Mary (Joe Lopinot), Dan (Barb), Jane, Amy (Leslie) Card and Kirby (Susan); grandfather of David, Kurt, Alyse, Marissa, Hannah and Lea; brother of Bonnie Spieker, Robert (Kay) Johnson and Larry (Monica) Johnson. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
A Knights of Columbus 4th Degree Honor Guard Service was held Sunday, Dec. 11, at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood. A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday, Dec. 12, at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church. Interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Knights of Columbus Catholic Education Fund, c/o Bob Melsheimer, 136 Shetland Dr., St. Louis, Mo. 63125.
