Calvin W. May of Kirkwood died Friday, Oct. 31, 2003. He was 83.
Mr. May was the husband of Ruth May (nee Shearer); father of Meredith May and Patricia (Daniel) Behlmann; grandfather of Emily and Matthew Behlmann; brother of Helen (the late Fred) Tiefenbruck and Hazel (Ray) Swisher; uncle, great-uncle, cousin and friend to many.
A memorial service was held Nov. 5, at Glendale Presbyterian Church. Interment, Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Glendale Presbyterian Church, 500 N. Sappington Road or Alliance for the Mentally Ill-NAMI. Arrangements by Bopp Chapel, Kirkwood.

Mary Mayo, formerly of Kirkwood died Saturday, Sept. 6, 2003.
Mrs. Mayo was the mother of Ellen (Fred) Spindler, Ken (Connie) Mayo and Margie (Randy) Wilson; grandmother of Jen and Becca Mayo; sister of Walter (June) Horn Jr.; aunt, cousin and friend.
A memorial service will be held Friday, Sept. 12, at Forever Oak Hill Funeral Home at Pfitzinger, 366 S. Kirkwood Road in Kirkwood. There will be a family gathering from noon until the time of service.
Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

George McCue of Kirkwood died Monday, Nov. 10, 2003.
Mr. McCue was a former writer, editor and art and urban design critic for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch. He was the author of "St. Louis: Sculpture City, " "The St. Louis Building Art: Two Centuries, " and co-author with Frank Peters of "A Guide to the Architecture of St. Louis."
Mr. McCue is survived by his wife, the former Pearl Lucas; daughters Patricia Holmes and Elizabeth Heywood; sons John W.L. McCue, Thomas S. McCue and A. Kevin McCue; and nine grandchildren.
A memorial service is planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Laumeier Sculpture Park, 12580 Rott Road, St. Louis, Mo. 63127. Arrangements by Bopp Chapel, Kirkwood.

Marjorie McCullough (nee Parmely) of Kirkwood died Sunday, Sept. 28, 2003.
Mrs. McCullough was the wife of the late Francis R. McCullough; mother of Judy (Larry) Folcik and the late James F. McCullough; grandmother of James "Nick" Folcik; sister of the late Oliver Parmely; aunt, cousin and friend to many.
A graveside service was held Wednesday, Oct. 1, from Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood to Valhalla Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to PEO Education Loan Fund, PEO Executive Offices, 3700 Grand Ave., Des Moines, IA, 50312.

Richard F. McDonough of Des Peres died Friday, July 4, 2003 at his home, surrounded by family.
Mr. McDonough was a laborer for Laclede Gas for 30 years, until his retirement. He was the husband and best friend of Winnie McDonough (nee Geraghty) for 48 years; father of Richard P. (Maggie) McDonough and Mary F. McDonough; grandfather of Beth and Scott; master of faithful companion Buddy; brother of Jack (Delores) McDonough, Jimmie (the late Margaret) McDonough and the late Tom (the late Phil) McDonough, both of County Galway, Ireland, the late Mike (Loretta) McDonough, the late Mary Ellen (the late Paddy) Naughton of County Mayo, Ireland; cousin of Matt and Maureen, Jimmie and Pauline, Eamon and Julie; brother-in-law of James Geraghty of County Galway and Mary (the late Jim) McCormack of County Meath, Ireland; uncle and friend to many, especially Susan Curry.
Funeral services were held July 9 from Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood to Christ Prince of Peace Church for Mass. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

Richard L. McFarland of Kirkwood died Saturday, Aug. 2, 2003. He was 74 years old.
Mr. McFarland was a Monsanto employee for 27 years. He served on active duty in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War, and retired from the Naval Reserves as a captain.
Mr. McFarland was the husband of Ramona; father of Rick, Don (Debra) and David (Julie) McFarland; grandfather of eight; brother, brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.
Funeral services were held Aug. 6, at Webster Hills United Methodist Church. Interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Arrangements by Forever Oak Hill at Pfitzinger, Kirkwood.
A memorial service for former Webster Groves resident Susan Burris Smith McFarland will be held Saturday, Feb. 1, 2003, 4:30 p.m. at Webster Groves Presbyterian Church, 45 West Lockwood Ave., with a reception afterward in the church's fellowship hall.
Mrs. McFarland is survived by her three sons, Charles, Thomas and George of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Harley Smith of University City and Pete Smith of Kansas City; and a sister, Ann Smith-Carr of St. Louis.
Memorial contributions may be made to The Children's Shelter, 2939 W. Woodlawn Ave., San Antonio, Texas, 78228; or to Texas EquuSearch, Box 395, Dickinson, Texas, 77539.

Kenneth McHugh, chemist and Webster Groves resident, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2003.
Mr. McHugh was the husband of Margaret McHugh (nee Baxter); father of Donna (Dick) Neville, Kathy (Chon) Noriega, Peter (Julie) McHugh, Jean McHugh, Anne (Robert) Safier and John (Betty) McHugh; and brother of Patricia McHugh and Laurence (Barbara) McHugh.
Visitation was held Sept. 23 at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood. Mass was held Sept. 24 at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Webster Groves. Interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.

Mylla C. McWilliams died Sunday, Jan. 5, 2003.
Mrs. McWilliams was the wife of the late Alwin V. McWilliams; mother of Hugh R. (Mary Ann) and Bruce B. (Nita) McWilliams; sister of Peggy Jaskolski, John (Jane) and the late Hugh F. (Jeane) McQuade; grandmother of Michelle Smith, Brian McWilliams, Bruce Jr., Jason, Maureen, Christina and Melissa McWilliams; great-grandmother of Bailey Smith; aunt, great-aunt and friend to many.
A memorial Mass was held Jan. 9 at Laclede Groves Convalescent Center Chapel in Webster Groves. Donations may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Virginia Medart (nee Paschedag) of Webster Groves died Tuesday, May 20, 2003. She was 83.
Mrs. Medart was the wife of the late Fred Medart; mother of the late Patrice Medart Wehnert; sister of the late Robert (Thelma) Paschedag, Harry (Val) Paschedag and Ruth Lustyk; cousin of Janet (Charles) Kics, Lois Winter and John ÒSandyÓ (Judy) Buchheit.
Visitation and funeral services were held May 22, at Gerber Chapel in Webster Groves. Interment, Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Ethel E. Meredith (nee Alles) of Webster Groves died Sunday, July 6, 2003.
Mrs. Meredith was the wife of Richard E. Meredith for 62 years; mother of Edward (Janice), Martha (Tom) Monahan, Shirley (Jim) Monahan, Joanne (Stephen) Treadwell, Patricia (Joe) Gross and Ethel (Tom) Tulley; grandmother of 20, great-grandmother of two; sister of Walter Alles, Anna Suda and the late Frank, Charles and Lawrence Alles; sister-in-law of Helen Woerther; friend to many.
Funeral services were held July 10, from Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood to Mary Queen of Peace Church for Mass. Entombment, Resurrection Cemetery.

Gertrude Mary "Trudi" Messmer (nee Schmidt) died Friday, Aug. 15, 2003.
Mrs. Messmer was the wife of the late Matthew Messmer; mother of James (Cynthia) Messmer M.D., Donna (Jim) McClelland and the late Janet Messmer; grandmother of Debra (Jeremy Calbreath) Messmer, Lauren Messmer, Jim, Jennifer and Carolyn McClelland; sister of Dorothy McCreight; aunt and friend.
Funeral services were held Aug. 19 at St. Clement Catholic Church in Des Peres. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials to the St. Louis Society for the Blind, 8770 Manchester Road, St. Louis, Mo., 63144. Arrangements by Bopp Chapel, Kirkwood.
