Elinor P. Schroder, of Webster Groves, died Thursday, April 11, 2002. She was 87 years old.
Mrs. Schroder, a nurse by profession, was a member of Rock Hill South Webster Presbyterian E.S.A. and the Rafter Rockers Square Dance Club.
Mrs. Schroder is survived by her husband, Albert E. Schroder; a daughter, Judith (John) Niederman; sons David (Janet) Schroder, Robert (Susan) Schroder and William Schroder; and a brother, William (Edith) Heath. She was the grandmother of 12, and great-grandmother of 10.
Mrs. Schroder was preceded in death by her parents, Lucy M. (Williams) and William Heath; a son, Albert E. Schroder, Jr.; a sister, Margaret Heath; and a brother, Robert Heath.
Visitation was held at Pfitzinger Funeral Home in Kirkwood, with a funeral service at Rock Hill South Webster Presbyterian Church on April 15. Interment at Mount Hope Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to Rock Hill South Webster Presbyterian Church.

Alyce Louise Scott died on Monday, April 1, 2002. Mrs. Scott was a retired officer of the Southside National Bank. She lived in Webster Groves for over 20 years.
She was the dear wife of the late Robert M. Scott; beloved mother of Virgil Michael Scott Sr. (Donna) and Susan K. Ewald (Darrell); grandmother of Abby Lynn Rodebaugh (Brian), Virgil Michael Scott Jr. (Stacie), Jennifer Louise Ewald, and Kimberly Rae Ewald; and great grandmother of Samara Kaylee Ewald.
The funeral was at Bopp Chapel on April 3 with interment at Bethel Cemetery in Pond, Mo.

Rosemary Clarke Seidel, a retired educator with the Webster Groves School District, died Thursday, July 18, 2002, of complications from Alzheimer's disease and diabetes. She was 80 years old.
Mrs. Seidel was born in Marceline, Mo. She attended the University of Missouri at Columbia, earning a bachelor's degree in home economics. She received a master's degree, also in home economics, from St. Louis University.
Mrs. Seidel began her teaching career in Drexel, Mo., and Keytsville, Mo. In 1942, she married Alfred Seidel, and they settled in St. Louis.
In St. Louis, she taught at the old St. Catherine Laboure School for Girls and Wellston High School before taking a leave from teaching to raise her two children.
In 1959, Mrs. Seidel joined the Webster Groves School District as a home economics teacher at Webster Groves High School. From there she moved to Hixson Middle School, where she taught for 12 years. She returned to Webster Groves High School and spent an additional 15 years there before her retirement in 1987.
Mrs. Seidel consulted for the Missouri Department of Education on home economics curriculum and was a contributor to the University of Missouri-Columbia's home economics education program. In addition, she worked with Sumner High School students in conjunction with the City-County School Partnership Program.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Aug. 6, at 2 p.m. at Webster Groves Christian Church, 1320 West Lockwood Avenue.
Mrs. Seidel is survived by her husband Alfred and a daughter, Sharissa V. Bush of Kirkwood.

John A. Shaw, died on Sunday, March 31, 2002. Mr. Shaw lived in Glendale for over 20 years. He was the beloved husband of 51 years to Margaret Shaw (nee Strudell); father of John R. Shaw, Solomons, Md.; Barbara Shaw, St. Louis; David (Grace) Shaw, St. Louis; grandfather of Michael, Andrew and Thomas Shaw; and brother of Mary E. Fitzgerald and William J. Shaw.
Mr. Shaw was an Army World War II veteran; past president of the Retired Officers Assn., and a member of the Military Order of World Wars. He was a member of the Missouri Bar Association, the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, and was general counsel of the Reliable Life Insurance Co. until his retirement in the 1980s. He was a eucharistic minister at St. Peter Church in Kirkwood and was a Meals on Wheels volunteer.
The funeral was held on April 4 at Bopp Chapel with Mass at St. Peter Church. Interment was at Resurrection Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Birthright Counseling, 2206 S. Emma Marie Sheahan, 74, died Saturday, April 13. The Webster Groves resident was the daughter of the late Andrew E. and Hanora M. (nee Doyle) Sheahan. She was a dear sister to Andrew E. (Bettie, John J. (Dorothy), William T. (Patti), and Timothy D. (Helen) Sheahan. She had 18 nieces and nephews.

Sister Mary Dolorine Sheehan, 95, former teacher at Annunciation School in Webster Groves, died Sunday, Sept. 29, 2002.
Sister Sheehan was born in Kerry, Ireland. In 1925, she emigrated to the United States to join the Sisters of Mercy in St. Louis, and on Sept. 29, 1930, she professed her final vows as Sister Mary Dolorine.
She attended Webster College (now Webster University), and graduated in 1959 with a bachelor of arts degree.
Sister Sheehan taught at Annunciation School in Webster Groves; Christ the King School in University City; and schools in Sikeston and Portageville, Mo., as well as New Orleans, La. She was principal of St. Joan of Arc School in St. Louis, and retired from teaching in 1971.
Sister Sheehan was a volunteer at St. John's Mercy Medical Center in Creve Coeur after her retirement.
Sister Sheehan is survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation, rosary and a funeral Mass were held Wednesday, Oct. 2, at St. John's Mercy Medical Center. Interment at Calvary Cemetery.

Leonard Alsup Siebels, a Des Peres resident, died Sunday, Oct. 20, 2002. He was 84 years old.
Mr. Siebels was a municpal judge for the city of Oakland for 15 years, from 1963 to 1978. He retired in 1985 from the former Army Aviation Systems Command (AVSCOM), where he worked as a civilian attorney.
Mr. Siebels was born in St. Louis, and attended Washington University. He was in ROTC there, and graduated in 1941 with a bachelor of arts degree. In 1948 he completed his law degree.
Mr. Siebels served in the Army during World War II, both in the Pacific and with an anti-aircraft artillery unit in Guadalcanal. He left the Army in 1946 as a captain, and later served in the Army Reserves. At the time of his retirement, he was a full colonel in the Judge Advocate General's Corps.
Mr. Siebels worked as an attorney in the law firm of the late Paul H. Koenig for several years. He was a Shriner, a Mason and a former board member of the Missouri Protection and Advocacy Services in Jefferson City.
Mr. Siebels is survived by his wife of 54 years, Bettye Siebels; a daughter, Kerry Siebels of Kirkwood; and a son, Craig Siebels of Austin, Tex.
A memorial service was held Wednesday, Oct. 23 at Glendale Presbyterian Church, 500 North Sappington Road, with a reception following the service. Private interment.

Royce Alan Singleton, Captain, U.S. Navy (Retired), died on Thursday, April 11, 2002, at his residence in Webster Groves.
Capt. Singleton served in the Pacific during World War II as a carrier fighter pilot. He and his squadron are memorialized in John Smith's book, "Hellcats Over The Phillipine Deep."
After his discharge in 1945, Capt. Singleton was recalled to active duty and remained in the Navy until his retirement in 1971. He commanded a carrier fighter squadron during the Korean War, and served as the Commanding Officer of the Agana Naval Air Station on Guam during the Vietnam conflict. He served multiple tours in the Pentagon and Naval Headquarters on the staff of Chief of Naval Operations.
Capt. Singleton taught in the accounting department at the University of Central Oklahoma in the late 1970s. After retirement, he moved to Bella Vista, Ark., until he moved to Webster Groves to be near his daughters.
Capt. Singleton is survived by his wife Rebecca; son Royce, Jr. (Nancy) of Mass., and their two children, Rob and Kate; son Ted from Florida; daughter Virginia (Will) Shaw of Webster Groves and their children, Rachel, Jonathan, Sarah Szarzynski, Andrew and David Shaw; daughter Kathleen Singleton and husband, Larry Schmidt of Webster Groves and their two children, Lara and Heather; son Chuck from Florida; son Jeff and his wife Bridgid from Ariz.; sister-in-law Virginia Robinson of Overland Park, Kan.; brother and sister-in-law, Sandy and Lila Singleton of Edmond, Okla., and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sandy H. and Gussie Singleton; his brother, Robert H. Singleton; and his sister, Mina Harrison.
Memorial services were held Saturday, April 13, at Emmanuel Episcopal Church of Webster Groves.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to a charity or Hospice chapter of one's choice.
