Charles F. Hobbs
1935 - 2016

Hobbs, Charles F., 81, passed away on Sun., Sept. 11, 2016. Born on the family farm outside Lebo, KS, he was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Bessie Hobbs. Beloved husband of Vi for 61 years, dear father of Doug (Dana) Hobbs of Wichita, KS, Debbie (Tom) Tremain of Bluffton, SC. He cherished his grandchildren: Charlie (Lauren) Hobbs, Katie (Zach) Enterline, Thomas Tremain; dear uncle and friend.

Charlie was a passionate sailor, U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain and Power Squadron Instructor. Former Chairman of the Des Peres Planning and Zoning Commission and Board of Adjustment. Charlie retired after 35 years as an Organic Research Chemist for Monsanto, and was Past Chairman of the American Chemical Society, St. Louis Chapter.

Services: Memorial visitation with family Fri., Sept. 16, 4-7 pm at BOPP CHAPEL, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to KU Endowment, 3901 Rainbow Boulevard, Mail Stop 3012, Kansas City, KS 66160, to benefit the Neuromuscular Research.

William Ronald "Bill" Wannemacher
1934 - 2016

William R. Wannemacher, Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Monday, September 12, 2016 at age 82. Beloved husband of 59 years to Sherrilyn Wannemacher (nee Doyle); loving father of Lisa Wannemacher and the late John W. Wannemacher; dear brother of Marvin (Sandi) Wannemacher and the late Jack Wannemacher and Donna Arndell; dear brother-in-law, uncle, cousin and friend to many.

William was a proud member of the Irish Navy and was a longtime resident of Bayberry. He was the owner of Wannemacher Associates for 40 years. William’s family would like to give a special thanks to Nancy Lopez and the Ray Lopez families as well as the caring staff at Mercy Hospital St. Louis.

Visitation 10:00am until time of memorial mass at 11:00am on Friday, September 23, 2016 at St. Clement of Rome Catholic Church, 1510 Bopp Rd., Des Peres, MO 63131. In lieu of flowers, masses preferred or donations to Sisters of Mt Grace Convent, 1438 E Warne Ave., St. Louis, MO 63107.

Jerome E. Moran
1937 - 2016

Moran, Jerome Edward “Jerry” Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Monday September 12, 2016. Loving son of the late John and Katherine Moran. Dear brother of Jack (Barbara) Moran Jr. and his twin sister the late Jean Moran. Dear Uncle of John III, Elaine, Maureen and Mary.

Jerry lived with his loving and caring parents until 1986 before moving to Emmaus Home where he thrived for 30 wonderful years.

Funeral Mass Friday September 16th 10am at St. Clare of Assisi Church, 15642 Clayton Rd, Ellisville. Interment Calvary Cemetery. Memorial contributions preferred to Emmaus Homes, 3731 Mueller Rd, St. Charles, MO 63301. Visitation Thursday 4-8pm at Bopp Chapel.

Jacqueline Sarah Jennings
1923 - 2016

Jennings, Jacqueline Sarah (Lake), passed away Wed., Sept. 14, 2016 in Aiken, SC.

Jacqueline Sarah (Lake) Jennings was born December 9, 1923 to Harry Eber Lake and Lottie Bell Lake in St. Louis, Missouri. She lived all her life in St. Louis, until 2010 when she became a resident of Harbor Chase Assisted Living in Aiken, SC, during which time Melany Jean Heard, her daughter, served as her primary caretaker.

Jacqueline was a charter member of the Webster Hills Methodist Church where she attended for over 50 years. Most of her many activities included those centered around church. She also enjoyed being a member of the Webster Hills Women's Group, and the Glendale Women's Club.

Jacqueline's love of animals lead to her being a life long supporter of the Humane Society and an avid fan of any animal, especially her own dogs. Jacqueline also really enjoyed fishing, boating, swimming, camping, traveling and exercise.

Jacqueline was a wife for 30 years to Robert Samuel Jennings and they had many happy times traveling all over the United States camping, fishing, and seeing the sights. After Robert's passing, she continued her travels to include many foreign countries.

Jacqueline leaves behind a sister, Josephine Engle (Robert) of Grover, MO; a daughter, Jacqueline Boyer (Larry) of Altoona, IA; a daughter, Melany Jean Heard (Steve) of Aiken, SC; and a son, Robert (Sue) Jennings of Woodland Park, CO; a step-daughter, Sandra (Rob) Roth of Hernando FL; a granddaughter, Michele (Bill) Blood of Flemington, NJ;a granddaughter, Vicki Jennings Maniatis of South Orange, NJ; and a granddaughter, Kimberly (Brian) Laube of Altoona, IA. Also left behind are her 5 great grandchildren, Kelsey (Ryan) Sage, Laura Laube, Olivia Laube, Alexander Laube, and Alexander Maniatis. Great great grandchildren include Trevor and Austin Sage of Indian Trail, NC. Also, she leaves a nephew, Jerry Tobey, two nieces, Deanna Hanks and Terry Bauman, and 3 step grandchildren.

Proceeding her in death were her mother and father Harry and Lottie Lake of St. Louis, MO and her husband of 30 years, Robert Samuel Jennings of St. Louis in 1977.

Funeral from Bopp Chapel, 10610 Manchester Rd., Kirkwood, MO 63122, on Tuesday, September 20, at 11:15 am for 12:00 pm Committal Service in the Chapel at St. Matthew's Cemetery in St. Louis.

Eugene L. Frey
1920 - 2016

Frey, Eugene Louis age 96, of St. Louis passed away September 16, 2016, at his home in Meramec Bluffs surrounded by his family. He was born August 17, 1920, in Piopolis, Illinois to William and Louisa (Herzing) Frey. Mr. Frey married Monica Dolan September 1, 1947, in Enfield, Illinois. He worked as a Mortgage Banker for over 40 years for Mercantile Mortgage, National Life of Vermont and Boatmen's Bank. He was a devout Catholic having been a member of Christ, Prince of Peace and Sacred Heart Parishes among others. Mr. Frey is survived by his loving wife Monica, three sons James Frey (Kathleen) of St. Louis, Alan Frey (Gerrilyn) of Naperville, Illinois and Donald Frey of Los Angeles, California, six grandchildren Kelly, Beth, Kevin, Greg, Steve and Tim, and four great grandchildren Grace, Michael, Molly and Kate. He was preceded in death by his parents, infant daughter Madonna, many siblings, and in-laws. Services: Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, September 19, 2016, at Christ, Prince of Peace Church with Reverend James Sauer officiating. A visitation will be Sunday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.

Dottye Bennett David

Dottye Bennett David, a resident of Kirkwood, died Monday, Dec. 2, 2002. She was 78 years old.

Ms. Bennett, a popular singer and St. Louis television personality, began her career at the age of 14. Born in St. Louis, she attended Cleveland High School and sang in local establishments like Steve Cady's restaurant and Wohl's Bar in downtown St. Louis.

As a teenager, Ms. Bennett furthered her singing career by joining a live radio program, broadcast from KSD Radio. While performing at KSD, she met and married John Baker, a trumpet player. The two wed in 1943, but later divorced. Mr. Baker died in 1988.

Ms. Bennett made her first television appearance on KSD-TV (now KSDK) in 1947, working with pianist and orchestra leader Russ David. In 1948, she co-hosted Union Electric's "Telequiz Calls" with Harry Gibbs. In 1957 she married Curt Ray, also a broadcast entertainer. The couple co-hosted a show on KMOX Radio, followed by "Good Morning St. Louis" on KMOX-TV. Mr. Ray died in 1981.

Ms. Bennett's career at KMOX-TV included hosting a children's newscast. After the program was cancelled in 1967, she worked as a doctor's office receptionist, then studied nursing at St. Louis Community College-Meramec. She later worked as a school nurse for the Parkway School District.

Over they years, Ms. Bennett had kept in touch with Russ David. In 1984, she joined him for a Variety Club Telethon, and in 1994 they married. The couple continued to perform together around St. Louis.

Ms. Bennett is survived by her husband; her children, Vicki Gubany of Ellisville and John Baker of San Francisco, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service was held Dec. 8 at Webster Groves Christian Church; the body was cremated. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 410975, St. Louis, Mo., 63141.

Florence E. Fraser (nee Fansher)

Florence E. Fraser (nee Fansher) died Tuesday, Dec. 10, 2002.

Mrs. Fraser was a member of First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood. She was the wife of the late Douglas H. Fraser; mother of John Douglas (Lindy) Fraser, Ph.D., Donald Steven (Nancy) Fraser and Nancy (Quentin) Wilson, Ph.D.; grandmother of Andrew, David, Matthew, Stuart, Ben and Adam; sister-in-law, aunt and friend.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, Dec. 14, 11 a.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Kirkwood, 100 E. Adams. Interment, private.

Memorials may be made to the First Presbyterian Church Music Program or the St. Louis Science Center. Arrangements by Bopp Chapel.

Beverly A. Reusch

Beverly A. Reusch died Friday, Dec. 6, 2002. She was 61.

Mrs. Reusch was the wife of Arthur R. Reusch; mother of Debbie (Don) Kappauff and Art (Paula) Reusch; sister of Pat (Jack) Kohl; and daughter of Elva M. Faudi and James W. Coughlin.

Visitation and funeral services were held Dec. 11 at Forever Oak Hill at Pfitzinger in Kirkwood. Interment, National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family.

Belinda May "Lynn" Skinner (nee Barton)

Belinda May "Lynn" Skinner (nee Barton) died Saturday, Dec. 7, 2002.

Mrs. Skinner was the wife of James Skinner; mother of Bill (Jennifer) Skinner and Jimmy Skinner; grandmother of Susan, Kayla, Jacob and William; daughter of Robert M. Barton and Joan L. McClure; stepdaughter of Bill (Shirley) Smith; stepsister of Donna (Harvey) Pruitt, Rick (Lisa) Smith, Wally Smith, Bobby Barton, Beverly Norris and Sharon Bouckaert; sister-in-law, aunt, cousin and friend.

Funeral services were held Dec. 11 at Bopp Chapel in Kirkwood. Interment, Resurrection Cemetery.

Mary "Kay" Worrall

Mary "Kay" Worrall died Wednesday, Dec. 4, 2002.

Mrs. Worrall was the wife of Samuel Worrall for 61 years. She was the mother of Robert Worrall; sister of Dorothy Kendall; grandmother of Michael Fischer, Carrie Fischer, Sean Worrall and Catie Worrall; and the daughter of Thelma Brown and W.P. Anderson.

A memorial service was held Dec. 6 at Forever Oak Hill Funeral Home at Pfitzinger in Kirkwood. Memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, P.O. Box 650309, Dallas, Texas, 75265-0309.
