PEGG, ELZIEATHIN, 102, of Rosebud, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001, in Bridgeton; he was born April 24, 1899, in Maries County, a son of Preston and Sarah Pegg; he was married in 1924 in St. Louis, to Catherine H. Watson, who preceded him in death on June 19, 1993. He served in the United States Army in 1919. He was a truck driver with Driemeier Moving Company in St. Louis for nearly forty years. He was a member of Teamsters Local 610 in St. Louis until his retirement in 1962. He was a member of St. Gerald Catholic Church in Gerald. He is survived by one son, John Pegg of Bridgeton; three grandchildren; one special great-grandson, Timothy Anthony Cox; numerous other great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; he was also preceded in death by one daughter, Catherine Pegg, in infancy; and one son, Anthony Pegg, in 1942. Friends will be received after 5:00 p.m., Friday at the MEYER-HILKE-MILLARD Funeral Home, Gerald. Mass of christian burial will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 9, 2001, at St. Gerald Catholic Church, with Fr. Bob Liebrecht officiating. Interment will follow in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery at Port Hudson. Expressions of sympathy may be made to St. Gerald Catholic Church. PARDON, VIRGINIA MAUREEN DONNELL, 90 years young, passed away Wednesday, July 25, 2001 with a twinkle in her eye; beloved wife of the late Philip Victor Pardon II; dear mother of Ellen Jane Pardon Jones (Ladue, MO) and Philip Victor Pardon III (Westwood, KS); beloved sister to Harold Emmett Donnell and the late Robert Edmond Donnell and the late Thomas Allison Donnell; fun-loving grandmother to 5 surviving grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. Born April 26, 1911 in DeSoto, MO to her parents, the late Dr. Robert Edmond Donnell and the late Rachel Reppy Donnell. Graduated from DeSoto High School in DeSoto, MO and then attended Christian College (now Columbia College) in Columbia, MO. Also attended Missouri University in Columbia, MO where she graduated. She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Park Hills; Methodist Church Women's Society; member of Alpha, Gamma, Delta; PEO; DAR past regent; taught 8th grade English at DeSoto; studied piano with Franklin Lawner. Graveside Memorial Service to be held Saturday, July 28 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Francis Memorial Park Cemetery, Bonne Terre, Missouri, under the direction of C.Z. BOYER & SON Funeral Home in Desloge, Mo. Memorial service will also be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 29 at Friendship Village Chapel, 15201 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield, MO.
