John Arthur Thomas, 80, of Canton, died Jan. 26, 2005, at University of Oklahoma City, Okla.; her sons, Eddie Warren Jr. and Stuart Warren, both of Canton; sisters, Dorothy Arthur of Franklinton, La., June Taylor and Charlene Hutchinson, both of Canton; brothers, Earl Moss and David Moss, both of Canton, and Harvey Moss of Sallis; grandchildren, Anne Mowdy of Ridgeland, Warren Ellis of Thomastown, Brett Warren, Kyle Warren and Zach Warren of Canton, and Bethany Biggers of Indianapolis, Ind.; sisters-in-law, Ollie Mae Harris of Canton, Lillian Harris of Jackson, Odessa Hawkins and husband Fletcher of Madison, Lisa Simon and husband A.B., Betty Williams and husband Tommy, Thelma Davis and husband Samuel; and brother-in-law, Luther Simon, all of Canton.
Thomas J. Dufour Jr.
Ridgeland
Thomas J. Dufour Jr., 81, of Ridgeland, died Dec. 17, 2004, at Hospice Ministries in Ridgeland.
Funeral services were held Dec. 20 at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison with burial in Natchez Trace Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Dufour was a native of Avoyelles Parish, La. He was a World War II U.S. Navy submariner and retired from the University Medical Center after 33 years. He was a volunteer for the Red Cross.
Survivors include: his wife of 55 years, Mary Sue Dufour of Ridgeland; his sons, David Scott Dufour and wife Kay of Madison, and Thomas "Ted" Eugene Dufour and wife Lynda of Brandon; his daughter, Donna Lustig and husband Lee of Brandon; grandchildren, Laura Dufour Harris and husband Mississippi Veterans Home, 4607 Lindbergh Drive, Jackson MS 39209.
Senora Brown Harper

Senora Brown Harper, 74, of Canton, died Dec. 18, 2004.
Funeral services were held Dec. 24 at Mt. Able Missionary Baptist Church with burial in Pine Grove Cemetery.
Mrs. Harper worked as a nurse's aide at Whitestone General Hospital for 15 years in Parker of Zion, Ill.; brothers, John H. Brown of Michigan City, Ind.; 20 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren; sisters and brothers, Mary Hudson of Stanford, Va., Dorothy Jean Godbold of North Cross, Ga., T.J. Bridgman of Mount Vernon, Calif.
