Betty Lee Bulimore Clark
Betty Lee Bulimore Clark, 63, of Holly Springs, died May 7, 2005, at her home. She was a secretary for over 14 years at Southern Homes and a member of Sara Baptist Church.

Services were held at 10 a.m. on May 9 at Dickins Funeral Home Chapel in Batesville. Burial was in Batesville Magnolia. Rev. John Stewart officiated.

She leaves her husband, William Lewis Clark Sr.; a son, William Lewis Clark Jr. of Sardis; a daughter, Sandra Faye White of Batesville; two sisters, Mary Ruth Patton of Pensacola, Fla., Ruby Clark of Arkabutla; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Richard.

Memorials may be made to Baptist Home Care and Hospice, Attn: Linda Cagle, 126 Hwy 51 North, Batesville, MS 38606.

Robenia Freeman
Robenia Freeman, 79, of Memphis, Tenn., formerly of Chulahoma, died April 29, 2005 at her home. She was a retired school teacher. A former member of Chulahoma Baptist Church, she served on the Usher and Mother Board and she also served as a member of the Pastor’s Aid Club. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She later joined Mt. Joyner Baptist Church where she also served on the Mother Board.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on April 30 at Mt. Joyner M.B. Church in Memphis. Burial was in Tyro Church Cemetery. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves six daughters, Elsie Freeman, Melvin Freeman, Eddie Freeman, Loice Nelson, Joyce Freeman, Leaser Freeman, all of Memphis, Tenn.; three sons, Clifton Freeman Jr. of Rockford, Ill., Leester Freeman of Oklahoma City, Okla., Larry Freeman of Victoria, Tx.; 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Maxine Naugher Horton
Maxine Naugher Horton, 98, died April 30 at Traceway Retirement Center in Tupelo. She taught at Eupora, Water Valley and Ecru. She did graduate work at MSU and Cornell University. In 1934, she was employed by the Mississippi State Extension Service as program director for the State 4-H Clubs. In addition to speaking at 4-H rallies, for many years she chaperoned the State 4-H winner to national conventions at Chicago and Washington, D.C. In 1946, she married John Presley Horton of Louisville.

Services were held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville with burial in Memorial Park Cemetery.

She leaves a twin sister, Maurine Naugher Sewell of Memphis, Tenn., another sister, Jamie Naugher Woods of Holly Springs; and two brothers, Loran Naugher, David Naugher of Pontotoc.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, John David Naugher, Russell Carter Naugher, Loran Naugher Jr., Robert Woods, Charles Woods and James Sewell.

Dorothy Ruth Hunt
Dorothy Ruth Hunt, 61, of Tupelo, died May 3, 2005 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was employed at North MS Medical Center for many years and was also a caregiver to many children.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on May 7 at Mt. Zion MB Church in Verona. Burial was in Porter’s Memorial Garden in Tupelo. Rev. Donnell Nichols officiated. Serenity Funeral Home Inc. was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves two sons, Roy Hunt of Alpharetta, Ga., Michael Hunt of Tupelo; and a sister, Frances Hunt of Tupelo.

Pallbearers were Kelsey Duffy, Ronnie Medcalf, Cedric White, Ramonte Green, Ray Berry, Titus White.

Dalma Ulelah Janes
Dalma Ulelah Janes, 78, of Ashland, died May 4, 2005 at Regional Medical Center in Memphis. She was the widow of Jessie E. Janes, a member of Ashland Baptist Church and a retired post master.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on May 7 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Ashland Cemetery. Bro. Randy Crews officiated.

She leaves a son, Donald C. Janes of Lamar; a daughter, Debbie Childers of Lamar; a brother, Leon Jackson of Michigan City; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Whitney Janes, Ashley Rowland, Thomas Doyle, Michael Shoup, Tommy Dodd, Lynn Jackson.

Terry Dewayne Jones
Terry Dewayne Jones, 35, of Oxford, died May 3 in Oxford. He was a self-employed tree trimmer.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on May 10 at New Hope MB Church in Oxford, where he was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Eric Wilson officiated. Serenity Funeral Home Inc. of Oxford was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves a son, Terry Dewayne Jones Jr. of Abbeville; three brothers, Van Jones Jr. of Milwaukee, Wisc., Herbert Woods of Dallas, Tx., Lynn Baskin of Oxford; 13 sisters, Ruth Jones of Phoenix, Ariz., Marguerite Guy, Vandy Harmon, both of Milwaukee, Wisc., Hattie Price of Abbeville, Joyce Moody, Sherra Jones, Floretta Toles, all of Oxford, Catherine Jones, Linda Faye Jones, Barbara Ann Jones, all of Memphis, Tenn., Barbara Harris of Southaven, Rosie Payton, Lena Jones, both of Jackson.

L.B. Spight LeSure
L.B. Spight LeSure, 85, of Holly Springs, died May 3, 2005 at Alliance HealthCare System. She was the widow of Prenice LeSure.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on May 7 at Hopewell No. 2 M.B. Church in Hudsonville, where she was a member. Burial was in the church cemetery. Rev. Danny Kimbrough officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves three daughters, Emma Brown of Jackson, Ina Jeffries of Holly Springs, Modena LeSure Bishop of Ft. Wayne, Ind.; two sons, Nelson LeSure of Memphis, Tenn., Isaac LeSure of East St. Louis, Mo.; 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were her grandsons. Honorary pallbearers were the church choir.

Amy Emiline Luttrell
Amy Emiline Luttrell, 83, of Holly Springs, died May 8, 2005 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a Baptist.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on May 11 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Rutledge-Salem Cemetery in Iuka. Bro. Frank Feathers officiated.

She leaves her husband, Taylor D. Luttrell; four sons, Charles T. Luttrell of Molalla, Ore., James E. Luttrell of Jackson, Donald E. Luttrell, Robert D. Luttrell, both of Holly Springs; a daughter, Jewel Annette Bell of Holly Springs; 22 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a son, Turner H. Luttrell, and two infant daughters.

Pallbearers were Steven Luttrell, Lucas Bell, John Taylor Luttrell, Matt Luttrell, Kevin Luttrell, Kent Feathers, Rodney Bell.
