Ada V. Inmon
Ada V. Inmon, 79, of Collierville, Tenn., died Feb. 23 at Baptist East. She was the widow of James K. Inmon, a member of Red Banks Free Will Baptist Church and a member of VFW Auxiliary.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Collierville Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Magnolia Cemetery.

She leaves three daughters, Cecilia Bryant Shelocta of Pennsylvania, Vickie Tatum of Adamsville, Tenn., Joy Lyons of Collierville, Tenn.; two sons, Keith Inmon of Holly Springs, Samuel Inmon of Potts Camp; a brother, John A. Godwin Jr. of Lakeland, Fla.; eight granddaughters, four grandsons and 20 great-grandchildren.

Earlisia Marie McKinney
Earlisia Marie McKinney, 4 months, of Senatobia, died Feb. 23, 2005 at Senatobia.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 26 at Gospel Temple Church of God In Christ in Senatobia. Burial was in Ebenezer Church Cemetery in Como. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her parents, Jessica Willie and Charles Maurice McKinney of Senatobia; two brothers, Charles McKinney Jr., Javion McKinney, both of Senatobia; grandparents, Willie and Janice Willie, Percy and Jessie Conard, all of Senatobia.

Alvis Lee Sanders
Alvis Lee Sanders, 79, of Belmont, died Feb. 24, 2005 at his home. He was a retired school teacher and school administrator, having been principal of Potts Camp School for 17 years. He was a deacon at Old Union Baptist Church, a 32-degree Mason and Shriner, a member of the Order of Eastern Star and Scottish Rite. He was past president of the Lions Club in 1969 and District Governor of Lions International 1971-1972. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving in World War II, and received two Purple Hearts and a Bronze Star.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 25 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Belmont. Burial was in Lindsey Cemetery. Bro. Jerry Ginn, Bro. Junior Defer officiated.

He leaves his wife of 61 years, Ellon Sanders; a son, Ronnie Sanders of Belmont; a daughter, Debbie McKay of New Albany; a sister, Edna Robinson of Tupelo; four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a twin sister, Alta Mae Sanders; and a brother, Andrew Sanders.

Pallbearers were Gary Northington, Scott Northington, Jeff Ware, Randy Northington, Jimmy Northington and Max Munn. Honorary pallbearers were Pat Campbell, Arthur Patterson and James Glasgow.

Verner Lee Scott
Verner Lee Scott, 72, of Senatobia, died Feb. 22, 2005 at Baptist Desoto Hospital in Southaven. He was a retired construction worker and a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 26 at Second Baptist Church in Hernando. Burial was in West Tennessee State Veteran’s Cemetery in Germantown, Tenn. Rodgers Funeral Home in Coldwater was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves five daughters, Barbara Scott of Memphis, Tenn., Peggy Scott of Chicago, Ill., Paula Overton of Rockford, Ill., Patricia Scott of Hernando, Phyllis Ramsey of Hernando; two sons, Milton Scott of Senatobia, Dennis Scott of Hernando; 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Bernie Martin Segerstrom
Bernie Martin Segerstrom, 83, died Feb. 26, 2005 at The Baptist Memorial Hospital North Mississippi in Oxford. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holly Springs. He was a retired postal clerk from the Holly Springs post office after 36 years of service. He served six years in the Navy during World War II. He was a Red Cross volunteer for 10 years. He was a member of the VFW and the American Legion.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on March 1 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Hill Crest Cemetery. Rev. Truman Thompson officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife of 56 years, Ruth Rossell Segerstrom; a sister, Joyce Jones of Aurora, Ill.; a brother, Raymond Segerstrom of Bellingham, Wa.

Pallbearers were Lanny Autry, Jimmy Ayres, Sid Ayres, Larry Boatwright, Toulie Boatwright, Warner Bradford, and Gerry Paul Moffitt.

Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association, P.O. Box 2178, Ridgeland, MS 39158.

Rosanna W. Tice
Rosanna W. Tice, 83, of Holly Springs, died Feb. 24, 2005 at Alliance HealthCare System in Holly Springs. She was the widow of Leo Tice, a member of Red Banks Baptist Church and an assembler with Western Electric in Aurora, Ill.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Feb. 26 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Red Banks Cemetery. She leaves three sons, Kenneth Tice of Barton, William Tice of Holly Springs, Benny Dewayne Tice of Hernando; three daughters, Linda Jane Coffman of Mt. Olive, Ala., Bonnie Marie Todd of Clearmont, Fla., Judy Dale Smith of Southaven; a brother, Thomas Warren of Okolona; four sisters, Fannie Mae Maxey of Olive Branch, Hattie Shoffner of East Prairie, Mo., Annie Martin, Ollie Martin, both of Red Banks; 18 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.

Curtis Venney
Curtis Venney, 55, of Memphis, Tenn., died Feb. 21, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

Services will be held at 12 noon on March 3 at Foundation of Life Christian Learning Center in Lamar. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Visitation will be 12 noon – 6 p.m. March 2 at Serenity Funeral Home in Holly Springs.

Pallbearers will be Lee Nunnally, Gregory Hudson, Deondra Hudson, Edward Hudson, James Hampton and Kirkland Webber.

John Ralph Wicker
John Ralph Wicker, 96, of Holly Springs, formerly of Memphis, Tenn., died Feb. 20, 2005 at Alliance HealthCare in Holly Springs. He was the widower of Frances Bryant Wicker and a retired Greyhound Bus driver after 30 years.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 24 at Mortimor Funeral Home in New Albany. Burial was in Glenfield Memorial Cemetery in New Albany. Forest Hill Midtown was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves a sister, Sara Bryant of Memphis, Tenn.; and three grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, John Wicker Jr.
