Frances Young, 70, of Byhalia, died Feb. 8, 2005 at home.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 11 at Brantley Funeral Home Chapel in Olive Branch. Burial was in Lebanon Cemetery in Olive Branch.

She leaves her husband, Donald W. Young; three daughters, Deborah Street, Beverly Tamboli, both of Olive Branch, Shirley Grassie of Burlison, Tenn.; her mother, Fannie Elizabeth Hicks of Dover, Tenn.; three sisters, Sue Cutshall of Clarksville, Tenn., Brooxie O’Bryant of Seal Beach, Calif., Evelyn Link of Dover, Tenn.; a brother, Billy Hicks of Paris, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Jesse Ingram
Jesse Ingram, 83, of Byhalia, died Jan. 30, 2005, at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars, World War II Army veteran, a member of American Legion Post #250, Holly Springs, and a member of Masonic Lodge.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Liberty Hill MB Church in Byhalia, where he was a lifelong member. Burial was in Ingram Family Cemetery in Byhalia. Rev. Anthony Holloway officiated. J.F. Brittenum and Son Funeral Home, Holly Springs, was in charge of arrangements.

He leaves his wife, Ethel Lee Street Ingram; four daughters, Nonnie Shipp of Byhalia, Bessie Bowen of Southaven, Jeanette Ingram-Ware, Pauline Wilkins, both of Byhalia; six sons, Steven Booker T. Ingram of Southaven, Clay Conrad Ignram of Greenwood, Jessie James Ingram, John Richmond Ingram, Fred Elmer Ingram, Toby Bernard Ingram, all of Byhalia; four sisters, Evelyn Haynes of St. Louis, Mo., Joan Veasey of Denver, Colo., Delores Scott, Lawrence Bridges, both of Memphis, Tenn.; three brothers, Bennie Ingram of Newport News, Va., Frank Cecil Ingram of Korea, John R. Ingram of Memphis, Tenn.; 28 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers were Marvin Balfour, Romond Threatt, Terrance Threatt, Carl DeBerry, Tony Bridges, Tubius Shipp, Thomas Shipp Jr., John Charles Smith. Honorary pallbearers were Jessie Ingram, John R. Ingram, Steven Ingram, Toby Ingram, Fred Ingram, Clay Ingram, Ervin Robinson.

Thelma Louise Jones McNeil
Thelma Louise Jones McNeil, 63, of Memphis, Tenn., died Jan. 18, 2005 at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn. She was an employee of Diesel Recon for 32 years.

Services were held at 11 a.m. on Jan. 28 at Mount Olive Cathedral CME Church, where she was a member. Burial was in New Park Cemetery on Horn Lake Road. Pastor Steve Wilburn officiated. M.J. Edward and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves her husband, Melvin B. McNeil Sr.; two sons, Melvin B. McNeil Jr. of Memphis, Schevarlye Da’Mon McNeil of Atlanta; a daughter, TarLarNece Worthey of Memphis; and two grandchildren. She was the cousin of Annie Wilson (Easter).

Pallbearers were Keith Jabati, Antonious Jones, Sam Grandberry, Fredrick Totten, Lloyd Hopkins, Ronny Totten. Honorary pallbearers were her neighbors, Tony Totten, Corry Totten.

Willard Louise Jordan
Willard Louise Jordan, 92, of Ashland, died Feb. 2, 2005. She was the widow of Hubert S. Jordan.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Ashland Baptist Church, where she was a member and children’s Sunday school teacher. Burial was in Ashland Cemetery. Rev. Bob Cossey, Rev. Don Brown, and Rev. Steve Jordan officiated. Holly Springs Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves two sons, Joe Mark Jordan of Ashland, Walter S. Jordan of Clinton; a daughter, Frances May of Ashland; seven grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Leon Mathis; two sisters, Helen Berryhill, Edna Earl Mathis; and a great-grandson.

Pallbearers were Mark Mathis, Shelby Mathis, Trey Jordan, Philip Jordan, Joshua Simpson, Harold Sullivan, David Maclin.

Danny Eugene McCullough
Danny Eugene (Buddy) McCullough, 50, of Houston, Tx., died Jan. 29, 2005 at home. He was a truck driver and a member of Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Potts Camp. Bro. Steve Wilson officiated.

He leaves his wife, Teresa McCullough of New Albany; a daughter, Serena Crossen of New Albany; a brother, Bobby McCullough of Potts Camp; three sisters, Bonnie L. Wilkerson of Ashland, Betty Sue White of Potts Camp, Cecil Conlee of Potts Camp; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Elbert Nathaniel.

Pallbearers were David Boatner, Larry Conlee, Justin White, Gerald Thompson, Jim Boatner, T.J. White, Mike Thompson, Randy Shaw.

Betty Lou Perryman
Betty Lou Perryman, 67, of Byhalia, died Feb. 1, 2005 at St. Francis Hospital in Memphis. She was the widow of Charley Mark Perryman.

Services were held at 3 p.m. on Feb. 4 at Germantown Parkway Chapel. Burial was in Memory Hill Gardens. Memphis Funeral Home, Germantown, was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves two daughters, Connie Roberson of Independence, Cindy Rice of Rossville, Tenn.; three sons, Roy Perryman, Jessie Perryman, both of Byhalia, Joe Dickerson of Nashville, Tenn.; a sister, Brenda Owens of Knoxville, Tenn.; three brothers, Jim Collins, David Collins, Ronnie Collins, all of Knoxville, Tenn.; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Rebecca Lynn Petterson
Rebecca Lynn Petterson, 50, of Shannon, died Feb. 1, 2005 at North MS Medical Center in Tupelo. She was a Lutheran, and manager of Dodge’s Store.

Services were held at 1 p.m. on Feb. 3 at Holly Springs Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Mt. Moriah Cemetery in Laws Hill.

She leaves her mother, Janie Mae Owens of Shannon; three sons, Gregory Joseph Howard of Rochelle, Ill., Shane Robert Petterson of W. Chicago, Ill., Shawn Rodney Petterson of Coon Rapids, Minn.; a daughter, Misty Dawn Howard of Aurora, Ill.; four sisters, Ivy Gwendolyn Bryant of Tennessee, Lisa Gaye Owens, Jacqueline Raye Owens, both of Aurora, Ill., Terri Denise Price of Hickory Flat; and seven grandchildren.

Doris Mobley Scarbrough
Doris Mobley Scarbrough, 94, of Little Rock, formerly of Pine Bluff, died Saturday at Arkansas Hospice. She was the widow of Charles Wade Scarbrough. A native of Red Banks, she was a member of First United Methodist Church of Pine Bluff for 65 years. She was the first woman to serve on the Administrative Board of the church and was an honorary life member of United Methodist Women. The American Red Cross honored her for 30 years of volunteer service. She was a member of the Junior League of Pine Bluff, a member of the Junior Mathonetes Club and the Birthday Club. She served as a deputy registrar of Pulaski County for 12 years, registering new Good Shepherd Retirement Center residents to vote.

A graveside service was held at 10 a.m. on Feb. 1 at Graceland Cemetery in Pine Bluff. Rev. Jason Molitor officiated. Ralph Robinson and Son Funeral Directors was in charge of arrangements.

She leaves a son, Charles W. Scarbrough Jr. of Little Rock, Ark.; a daughter, Susan Zook of Little Rock; three brothers, Charles Mobley of Tupelo, Robert Mobley of Holly Springs, Milton Mobley of Garland, TX; a sister, Betty Lyle of Hot Springs; three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Kenneth Mobley, Gilbert Mobley; three sisters, Sarah Young Bunn, Grace Akroyd and Frances Scheffler.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be made to the First United Methodist Church, 200 W. 6th St., Pine Bluff, Ark. 71601 or Good Shepherd Ecumenical Retirement Center, 2701 Aldersgate Road, Little Rock, Ark. 72205.
