Jonnie developed a love of the land early in his childhood and it was a passion he carried his whole life through. He was a self-taught musician and played every instrument his picked up, fluently. He spent his first savings venture on a mail-order violin as a very young child, and before long, was also playing guitar, piano, various horns, accordion and eventually, the electric guitar.

Jonnie traveled extensively and was always telling family great places to eat in different parts of the world, one statement he made was, “If you’re ever in Cuba, be sure & go to the Cameron’s and try their specials!” He had a love for all dogs, and often brought his special dog pal, Bailey, Kurt’s Golden, to Our Place Personal Care Home for Earl and the residents to enjoy.
