MORTUARY IN CHARGE: Bell Mortuary of Glasgow, MT.
Lionel lived his entire life in the Oswego area. At a very young age he broke horses for Shirley Bridges. He served in the US Marines from 1952 to 1956, serving one year in Korea. After the war he worked for Slatts Lowe moving houses and buildings and he delivered gas and fuel for Standard Oil – Johnny Boyd. Lionel also served on the Fort Peck Tribal Executive Board from 1964 to 1966.

He farmed and ranched in the Oswego area from the 1950’s until his death.

Roger D. (Osta) Flynn and Renee D. Fettig (Willie) and Jonas R. Flynn of Oswego.
Thomas W. Flynn Sr. and his son Tom W. Flynn Jr. of Oswego.
Perry W. Flynn and his children Jacob W. Flynn and Jeffrey W. Flynn of Oswego.
Ernest L. Flynn Sr. (Yvonne) of Billings, MT and their children Ernest L. Flynn Jr. (Wendy) and Stacee A. Flynn.
16 great grandchildren

Sister: Velma Dyck (Abe) of North Carolina

Preceded in death by his wife Shirley, his mother and father, his step-dad Archie Belgard, grandson Roger D. Flynn II, brother Jay Flynn, sisters Sally Stennett, Kay Flynn, nephews Robert Stennett and Bruce Flynn, and a niece Della Pratt.

Dolores was raised in Clayton, Wisconsin, graduated from high school, and moved to Eau Claire, Wisconsin where she worked at Peters Meat Packing Plant.

On September 9, 1951 Dolores married Harold Vold in Eau Claire. They lived Eau Claire until 1973 and then moved to the Glasgow Air Force Base where she worked for the Tumpane Co. They moved to Glasgow in the 1980’s and she worked at the Soroptomist Thrift Shop for many years making many long lasting friends.

Dolores loved spending time with her grandchildren, fishing and hanging out with “the boys”, and garage sales with Marg. She enjoyed bowling and playing the accordion. She loved her polka music.

MORTUARY IN CHARGE: Bell Mortuary in Glasgow, MT.
Donna M. Rennick, 62, of Glasgow, died peacefully of natural causes Sunday morning, June 8, at Valley View Nursing Home.

Named as honorary pallbearers are O.E. Markle, Allen Sevareid, Donny Johnson, Jim Kountz II, Jamie Rennick, Samantha Arneson, Scott Hedegaard, and the staff at Valley View Nursing Home.

Donna is survived by here three sons, Bob Jr. and Joe of Glasgow, and Tim (Monica) of Glendive; her sister Marie Hobby of Marietta, GA; her brothers Ralph (Rhea) Nelson of Manhattan, MT. and Brent (Eloise) Nelson of Tampa, FL; sisters-in-law Harriet (Roy) Keough and Mabel (Herb) Pagel of Havre; granddaughters Shelby and Lexi (Glendive) and Jordan (Glasgow); and numerous cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Born in Glasgow on February 4, 1946 to W. and Mabel (Humphries) Nelson, Donna attended school in both Glasgow and Tampico, before moving to Bozeman and then Cut Bank, where she attended her high school education at the tenth grade. She met Robert Rennick in Glasgow, where they married in 1965. They lived their lives together in Glasgow, raising three sons. Donna worked as a cook in several restaurants, as well as bartended at the Clansman, worked as an EMT and ambulance driver for Tommy Rodger’s Ambulance Service, and cared for residents as a CAN at Valley View Home..

Known for her quick wit and sense of humor, Donna loved the life she was given. “That’s life- what are you going to do?” was her oft stated line. She was dealt several near-death experiences. Through therapy and rehabilitation she was able to regain much of what she had lost: memory, strength, movement. A severe allergic reaction, two strokes, multiple long seizures and an aneurysm over twenty-two years did nothing but “build character, ” according to Donna. She enjoyed bowling, Ms. PacMan, reading, and family gatherings before her medical problems began; and crosswords, BINGO, the Billings Gazette, and card-playing after.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband Bob in 1999, her father and mother in 1956 and 1989, respectively, her brothers George Nelson and Buddy Nelson, and her sisters Julie Sevareid, Sharon Anderson, Helen Blanchard, and Marsha Smith.

Ward “Lynn” Cornwell was born with his twin brother Lee, August 15, 1951 in Glasgow, MT, son of Bill and Ann Cornwell. Being born into a life that he loved and would have chosen for himself was a blessing for Lynn. His devotion to ranching and the livestock industry was truly unique and a passion that came from within. Lynn’s impact on his family, the community and the entire livestock industry has been immense.

Lynn passed away from an aortic aneurysm June 5th, 2008.

Lynn attended grade school at the Tampico school and graduated from Glasgow High school in 1969. He earned his bachelor’s degree in Ag Business from Montana State University. In 1971 he married Debby Thompson and they raised their family on the ranch on Buggy Creek. He endowed his family with a respect and love for the lifestyle of the land. Lynn & Debby have four children, sons Cody (Juli) Cornwell and Kirk (Britney) Cornwell of the family ranch in Glasgow, and daughters Michelle (Chad) Hoover of Whitehall, Jamie (Eric) Hafenfeld of Weldon, California. Lynn was so proud of his eight grandsons Dallen & Dane Hoover, Jake Newton, Jack & Charlie Cornwell, Agustus Hafenfeld and Kolt & Klay Cornwell. He is survived by his two brothers Clay Cornwell, and Lee and Madylon Cornwell and their children Stuart and Audra of Glasgow.

He was a member of the First Lutheran Church, the Glasgow Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture and the Elks Lodge. He served as a Valley Electric Cooperative Board member for over 30 years and was a director of the Valley Livestock Association. Lynn was honored with the Jaycee’s Outstanding Young Farmer, Friend of the FFA, and received the Glasgow Area Chamber of Commerce Del Strommen Award.

He was a member of the Montana Public Lands Council, serving as chairman and delegate to the National Public Lands Council. He was the NCBA Federal Lands Chairman, the Association of State Grazing Districts Chairman, the Montana Woolgrowers Association, the National Woolgrowers Association and the Montana Stockgrowers Association. He served on the Board of Directors of the Montana Stockgrowers Association from 1988 to 1992 and then as MSGA President from 1996-1998. He was on the National Cattlemen’s Association Board of Directors then moved through the chairs and served as NCBA’s President in 2001.

There were no strangers in Lynn’s life; if he didn’t know you he soon would. Lynn never forgot a name, and always had time for a visit or to tell a story. He was a leader in the livestock industry, and will leave a legacy of so much to so many.
