Mrs. Grace W. Bolden
GRAHAM - Mrs. Grace White Bolden, 92, of 4728 Rumley Road, died at 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at the Brian Center in Yanceyville after several years of failing health, five days critical.
A native of Alamance County, she was the daughter of Mr. Zeno Hadley White and Mrs. Ruth Emma McVey White, both deceased. She was retired from textile manufacturing.
Survivors include two sons, Mr. Hunter Sherman 'Bob' Bolden Jr. of Graham and Mr. William Larry 'Bill' Bolden of Burlington; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Larry Lamberth, pastor of Harvest Baptist Church. Burial will be in Moore's Chapel Cemetery.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Funeral Home in Graham from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to a charity of choice.

Mrs. Ora D. Ashley
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Ora Duncan Ashley, 98, of 1418 Vaughn Road, died at 8:32 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 20, 1998, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after three years of failing health, two weeks critical.
A native of Person County, she was the wife of the late Mr. G. Garland Ashley, and the daughter of Mr. Henry Duncan and Mrs. Vannie Dean Duncan, both deceased. She was a seamstress for J.C. Penney.
Survivors include five daughters, Ms. Mollielee Ashley Welch and Ms. Margie Ashley Hensley, both of Burlington, Ms. Maxine Ashley Ward of Graham, Ms. Era Mae Ashley of Greensboro and Ms. Beatrice Ashley Lawrence of Suffolk, Va.; nine grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Mrs. Louise Ashley Boyette.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Pine Hill cemetery by the Rev. John H. Dutton Jr., pastor of Fairivew United Methodist Church.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 2 to 3 Sunday afternoon, and at other times at their own homes.
Memorials may be made to Hospice of Alamance-Caswell, P.O. Box 2122, Burlington, N.C. 27216-2122.

Mr. Bradsher Robinson
MEBANE - Mr. Arch Bradsher 'Pop' Robinson, 83, of 2502 N.C. 119 South, died at 12:45 p.m. Friday, Aug. 21, 1998, at Presbyterian Home of Hawfields after a critical illness of one week.
A native of Person County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Alice R. Robinson, and the son of Mr. Odie Robinson and Mrs. Lula Reagan Robinson, both deceased. He was a retired employee of Craftique Furniture Company and a member of Charity Baptist Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Diana R. Thorneberg of Mebane, Ms. Debbie R. Peele of Topsail Beach and Ms. Lori Robinson of Roxboro; a son, Mr. B. Wayne Thorneberg of Graham; a sister, Mrs. Christine Tuck of Mebane; eight grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Faith Baptist Church by the Rev. Keith Spake and the Rev. Max Allman. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Mebane from 7 to 9 this evening.

Miss Effie Massey
BURLINGTON - Miss Effie Naomi Massey, 83, of 2362 Carolina Road, died Friday, Aug. 21, 1998, at Rehabilitation Center of Alamance after six months of failing health, one week critical.
A native of Caswell County, she was the daughter of Mr. Nathan Thomas Massey and Mrs. Nancy Jane Cobb Massey, both deceased. She was a homemaker and a member of Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include a brother, Mr. Hubert Massey of Liberty.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Miss Exie Solina Massey and Ms. Ethel Merida Brooks; and two brothers, Mr. Claude Massey and Mr. Leon Massey.
A graveside service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Bush Arbor Primitive Baptist Church cemetery by Elder Wallis Smith, pastor.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 6 to 8 this evening.

Mr. Eugene Hinkle
GRAHAM - Mr. Eugene Hinkle, 80, of 326 Forest Drive, died at 11:56 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after a short illness.
A native of Bohaney, Transylvania County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Geneva Whitten Hinkle and the son of Mr. William Henry Hinkle and Mrs. Alice Corbin Hinkle, both deceased. He was retired from Flexon Fabrics and was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II. He was a member of Shiloh Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include a sister, Mrs. Essie Grant of Burlington.
He was preceded in death by six brothers, Mr. Wood Silas Hinkle, Mr. Lawrence Hinkle, Mr. Hall Hinkle, Mr. Ralph Hinkle, Mr. William Henry Hinkle and Mr. Horace Hinkle; and four sisters, Ms. Bessie Cash, Ms. Mamie Alice Reid, Ms. Fannie Hinkle Smith and Ms. Hazel Hinkle.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Rich and Thompson Chapel in Burlington by the Rev. Suzanne Shoffner, pastor of Shiloh Presbyterian Church. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery.
The family will be at Rich and Thompson Mortuary in Burlington from 6 to 8 this evening, and at other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Shiloh Presbyterian Church, 2634 Alamance Road, Burlington, N.C. 27215.

Mr. William D. Wade
GRAHAM - Mr. William D. “Bill” Wade, 57, of 1921 Springmeadow Drive, died at 12:14 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after an illness of 18 months.
A native of Halifax County, Va., he was the husband of Mrs. Laura McAdams Wade, who survives, and the son of Mr. William Wade and Ms. Dorothy Dunkley Brooks, both deceased. He was a retired master chief petty officer from the U.S. Navy, where he served 26 years. He was an employee of Green and McClure Furniture Store. He was a member of Harvest Hills Church of God.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include two sons, Mr. William Darrin Wade of Concord and Mr. Wesley Damon Wade of Ruffin; a sister, Mrs. Anita W. Brown of Greensboro; and six grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at McClure Funeral Home Chapel in Graham by the Rev. Jerry Tow.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Graham from 6 to 8 this evening.

Mr. James Allen Lane Sr.
BURLINGTON - Mr. James Allen Lane Sr., 54, of 803 Delaware Ave., died at 12:58 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill after a critical illness of two and a half weeks.
A native of Orange County, he was the husband of Mrs. Joan Carol Smith Lane, who survives, and the son of Mr. Leightman Lane and Mrs. Hazel Bennett Lane, both deceased. He was retired and was a member of Glen Hope Baptist Church.
Survivors other than his wife of the home include three sons, Mr. James Allen Lane Jr. and Mr. Christopher Brandon Lane, both of the home, and Mr. Brian Keith Lane of Burlington; two brothers, Mr. Dwight Lane of Chapel Hill and Mr. Dennis Lane of Raleigh.
A memorial service will be conducted at 3 p.m. Sunday at Integrity Community Church in Burlington.

Mr. Jimmy Burke Hunter
HOLLY HILL, Fla. - Mr. Jimmy Burke Hunter, 62, of 1202 Mapleleaf Gardens Apartments, died Wednesday, Oct. 27, 1999, at Halafax Hospital in Daytona Beach, Fla., after a long illness.
A native of Graham, he was the son of Mr. James E. Hunter and Mrs. Lois Burke Hunter, both deceased. He was a retired disabled veteran of the U.S. Army. He served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Disabled American Veterans.
Survivors include a daughter, Ms. Kaitlyn Hunter of Ormond Beach, Fla.; two step-daughters, Ms. Heather Petty of Annapolis, Md., and Ms. Dorthe Chriscoe of Burlington; a stepson, Mr. O.C. Rhoades of Holly Hill; a sister, Ms. Sue Neville of Daytona Beach; and a brother, Mr. Teddy Hunter of Graham.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete.

Mr. Paul Clarence Shepherd
ELON COLLEGE - Mr. Paul Clarence Shepherd, 81, of 1326 N.C. 87 North, died Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at Alamance Regional Medical Center after eight months of failing health.
A native of Guilford County, he was the husband of the late Mrs. Bessie Alcon Shepherd and the son of Mr. James Albert Shepherd and Mrs. Carrie Apple Shepherd, both deceased. He was retired from Oxford Equipment Co. in Burlington and was a farmer. He was a member of Apple’s Chapel Christian Church, where he served as an usher, Sunday school teacher and trustee. He was a former member of Redman’s Lodge in Reidsville.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Belva Nance of McLeansville and Mrs. Gloria Dixon of Randleman; a son, Mr. Fred C. Shepherd of McLeansville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Mrs. Lalah S. Cook, and a brother, Mr. Arlie R. Shepherd.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Apple’s Chapel Christian Church by the Rev. Allen Myers III, the Rev. Jess Montegudo and the Rev. Lester Stanley of the church. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
The family will be at Lowe Funeral Home from 7 to 9 this evening, and at other times at the home.
Memorials may be made to Apple’s Chapel Christian Church, 7345 N.C. 61 North, Gibsonville, N.C. 27249.

Mrs. Amy Euliss Campbell
MOORESVILLE - Mrs. Amy Euliss Campbell, 26, of Mooresville, died Tuesday, Oct. 26, 1999, at Iredell Memorial Hospital in Statesville.
Born Dec. 30, 1972, in Springfield, Mass., she was the wife of Mr. Robert “Bob” Campbell, who survives, and daughter of Mr. Roger Euliss and Mrs. Rebecca Holman Swain, who both survive. She was a real estate agent with Lake Norman Realty Co. in Mooresville.
Survivors other than her husband, father and stepmother, Mrs. Linda Euliss of Jamestowne, and mother and stepfather, Mr. John Swain of Mooresville include paternal grandfather, Mr. Fred Euliss of Liberty; maternal grandmother, Ms. Elnor Morningstar of Ocala, Fla.; maternal grandfather, Mr. Hillis Holman of Perine, Fla.; a sister, Ms. Katie Euliss of New Orleans; and two stepbrothers, Mr. Michael Potter of Midland, Mich., and Mr. Chad Potter of Charlotte.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at Almond, Raymer and McConnell Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Farrell Lemings.
The family will be at Almond, Raymer and McConnell Funeral Home in Huntersville from 7 to 8:30 this evening.

Mrs. Maggie Joyner Carey
BURLINGTON - Mrs. Maggie Joyner Carey, 97, of 2703 McKinney St., died at 2:25 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 28, 1999, at White Oak Manor in Burlington after four years of failing health.
A native of Nash County, she was the daughter of Mr. George Emerson Joyner and Mrs. Betty Baker Joyner, both deceased. She was retired from Webco Inc. and was a member of Hopedale Christian Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Elsie C. James and Mrs. Christine C. Baker, both of Burlington; a son, Mr. O.D. Carey of Murray Hill, N.J.; three grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Miss Sarah Joyner and Mrs. Minnie Joyner; three brothers, Mr. William Joyner, Mr. Charlie Joyner and Mr. Johnny Joyner; and one grandchild.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Alamance Memorial Park by the Rev. Bob Cauthren, pastor of Hopedale Christian Church.
The family will be at McClure Funeral Home in Burlington from 7 to 8:30 Saturday evening, and at other times at the home.
