She was a native of Gaston County, daughter of the late Samuel Clifton and Mamie Bell Cloninger Lee, wife of the late Forest Holder, member of Bradley Memorial United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, retired from Threads Incorporated.
SURVIVORS: Son and daughter-in-law, Robert L. and Deneice Holder, Gastonia; brother and sister-in-law, Roy and Kathleen Lee, Gastonia; sister, Nell Bancroft, Gastonia; grandchildren, David Holder, Fresno, Calif., Robert Holder Jr., Chandler, Ariz.; three great-grandchildren

GASTONIA — John Thomas Kendrick, died Sept. 23, 2000 in Allendale County, S.C.
He was a native of Cleveland County, son of the late Thomas Lawson and Epsie Warren Kendrick, member of South Marietta Street Baptist Church, retired electrical supervisor with the city of Gastonia after 39 years, Army veteran serving in the 82nd Airborne as a sergeant.
SURVIVORS: Wife of 45 years, Shirley Propst Kendrick; sons and daughters-in-law, James L. and Tina Kendrick, Thomas W. and Mary Kendrick, Gastonia; sisters, Frances Gant, Charlotte, Betty Bridges, Shelby; three grandchildren

She was a native of Cleveland County, daughter of the late John Julis and Demcy Elizabeth Hoyle Beaver. She was a homemaker and member of Reepsville Baptist Church.
