Patricia Rash
Thomasville - Patricia Bailey Rash, 51, of 4047 Fuller Mill Rd., died July 22, 2000, at the Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home.
She was born June 5, 1949, in Pittsylvania County, Va., a daughter of Osker and Dorothy Wilson Bailey. She was an employee of Kayby Mills Inc. She retired June 30. She was a member of Primitive Baptist Church in Winston-Salem. On Sept. 2, 1966, she married Philip Ray Rash, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are a daughter, Jennifer R. Tollison and husband, Jerry, of Concord; her mother of Denton; two sisters, Mrs. Betty Tucker and Mrs. Linda Norman of Denton; a half-brother, Oscar Bailey Jr. of Thomasville; seven grandchildren, Michael Joyce, Brittany Rash, Heather Joyce, Elizabeth Tollison, Matthew Rash, Emily Tollison and Derreck Tollison.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Family Funeral Care Chapel by Elder E.W. Hooven. Burial will be in Tom's Creek Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Denton. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight at the funeral home and at other times at the home..
Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Winston-Salem/Forsyth County, 1100-C S. Stratford Rd., Winston-Salem, N.C. 27103.

Thelma Reynolds
High Point - Mrs. Thelma Yates Reynolds, 76, of 1106 N. Hamilton St., died July 23, 2000, at her residence.
Mrs. Reynolds was born Aug. 1, 1923, in Guilford County a daughter of Henry and Lela Poole Yates. She was retired from Silver Knit Hosiery and was of the Baptist faith. On Dec.23, 1944, she married William Reynolds, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are a son, William Maxton Reynolds Jr. of Easton, Pa.; a daughter, Delores Potts of the home, two grandsons and three great-granddaughters.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Chapel of Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point by the Rev. Harold Marlow. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 tonight.
Memorials may be directed to Hospice of the Piedmont, 1801 Westchester Drive, High Point, N.C. 27262.

Nathanell Rohrer
Kernersville - Mrs. Nathanell Haddock Rohrer, 57, of 360 Silver Creek Trial died July 23, 2000, at her residence.
She was born on March 10, 1943, in Chipley, Fla., a daughter to J.T. Haddock and Viney Pippin Haddock and was married to Charles. S. Rohrer in 1959. She was a former employee of Johnson Neurological in High Point and was a member of the First Wesleyan Church of High Point.
Surviving are husband of the home, her parents of Panama City; four daughters, Deirdre Capps and husband, Lewis, of Thomasville, Sondra Manning and husband, Claye, of Lexington, S.C., Michelle Owens and husband, Kevin, of Lebanon, Ind., Daphne Roberson and husband, Todd, of High Point; son-in-law Kim Talley of High Point; a sister, Sandra Kershaw of Bradenton Fla.; 10 grandchildren, Jacob Talley, Randee Capps, Melaine Cary, Erin and Tyler Manning, Charles, Brandon and Austin Owens, Christina and Kathryn Rizos. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Marsha Talley, and her brother, Edwin Haddock.
Funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the First Wesleyan Church by the Rev. Scott L. Weldon. Burial will be in Floral Garden Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Cumby Family Funeral Service, Eastchester Drive and at other times at the home. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, Triad Administrative Resource Center 4-A Oak Branch Drive, Greensboro, N.C.

Nellie Sams
Jamestown - Mrs. Nellie Hill Sams, 56, of 5016 Harvey Road, died July 21, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital.
She was born in Guilford County and was a graduate of Jamestown High School. She had been a resident of Jamestown all her life and had retired with Western Electric Co. after 20 years of service. She was a member of Bales Memorial Wesleyan Church and the Pioneer Club. On May, 5, 1939, she married Pinckney Estes Sams, who preceded her in death, April 8, 1999.
Surviving are three daughters, Ms. Donna Jane Minton of Kure Beach, Ms. Sharon Anderson of Jamestown and Mrs. Stephen 'Suenell' Taylor of McLeansville; two sons, Wesley Sams of Greensboro, 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at Sechrest Chapel in High Point by the Rev. Melvin Howard. Visitation will be 7-8:30 p.m. Tuesday.

James Sessoms
High Point - James Vernon Sessoms, 64, of 206 Grand St. died at 1:20 p.m. July 22, 2000, at High Point Regional Hospital following declining health of four years.
He was born Nov. 12, 1935, in Sampson County, a son of Fleet and Ailcen Simmons Sessoms. He had been a resident of High Point since 1962 and was retired from the Alma Desk Co. He was of the Baptist faith. On May 1, 1965, he married Paulette Lee, who survives of the home.
Also surviving are two sons, Jimmy Dean Sessoms and wife, Vickie, of High Point and Kirby Elton Sessoms of the home; two stepsisters, Mrs. Hermie West and Mrs. Loretta Massengill, both of Newton Grove, N.C.; two stepbrothers, Matthew and Shelton Edwards, both of Newton Grove; three grandchildren, Adrienne Nicole Profitt, Justin Wayne Sessoms and Tyler Lee Sessoms. He was preceded in death by a son, Tony Lee Sessoms.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the chapel of Cumby Funeral Service on Eastchester Drive by the Rev. Jesse Burford. Burial will be in Guilford Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home and other times at the residence.

Frances Still
Albemarle - Mrs. Frances Lilly Still, 86, of 1930 Woodhaven Court, died July 23, 2000.
She was born Feb. 22, 1914, in Stanly County, a daughter of the late Joe A. and Maude Morris Lilly. She was a retired owner and operator of Vogue Beauty Shop. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church.
She was married to Baxter B. Still, who preceded her in death. She also was preceded in death by a brother, Joe Lilly; and a sister,Mattie L. Herrin.
Surviving are a son, Fred Still of Cary; three daughters, Mrs. Nelle W. Hopkins of Albemarle, Mrs. Sue W. Harris of Jamestown and Mrs. Mary Jo W. Whitley of Columbia, S.C; and 12 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
Funeral will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Centrall United Methodist Church by the Rev. Ben Wilson and the Rev. David Alexander. Burial will be in Fairview Memorial Park.

Benny Trivette
Thomasville - Benny Lee Trivette, 46, of 103 Trexler Ave., died July 22, 2000, at his residence.
He was born March 20, 1954, in Watauga County, a son of Floyd Trivette and Mary Grace Huffman Trivette. He was employed with Kayby Mills Inc. of Thomasville.
Surviving are his mother of 126 Old Fisher Ferry Road South; a sister, Mrs. Bobby (Betty) Williams of Thomasville; and three brothers and sisters-in-law, Billy and Sandra Trivette of Lexington, Buster and Shirley Trivette of Thomasville and Bobby Trivette of Thomasville.
Funeral will be 4 p.m. Wednesday at J.C. Green & Sons Chapel by the Rev. Carl Benton. Burial will be in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home and other times at the home of his mother.

John Ellis
Archdale - John Joseph Ellis, 52, of 129 W. White Drive, died July 22, 2000, at his brother's residence in New London.
He was a member of Green Street Baptist Church. He was employed as an over road truck driver with Danny Nicholson Inc. in Lexington, and previously with ATW Inc., Greensboro Transit Authority and Duke Power, all of Greensboro, and Hi tran in High Point. He graduated from Grimsley High School, Greensboro in 1966 and resided with his mother until he married.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth Young Ellis of the residence; two stepchildren, Stacey Lee Mahtani of Kill Devil Hills and Chad Allen Emery of Archdale; a brother, James William Ellis Jr. of New London; and four grandchildren.
Visitation will be 7-9 Wednesday at Hanes-Lineberry Sedgefield Chapel.

Robert Gallimore
Denton - Robert 'Bob' Gallimore, 86, of N. Main St. died July 23, 2000, at Mountain Vista Health Park after an extended illness.
He was born Sept. 13, 1913, a son of Arthur Mack and Ila Russell Gallimore. He was a member of First Baptist Church and worked with Aluminum Co. of America for more than 40 years as operator and supervisor of the High Rock Power Plant. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Jeff Gallimore and Mack Gallimore; a half brother, Gene Gallimore; and a sister, Bruce Cranford.
Surviving are his wife, Pride Skeen Gallimore of the residence; two sons, Darrell Gallimore of Advance and Phillip R. Gallimore of St. Louis; four grandchildren; half brother, Rondall Gallimore of Denton; two sisters, Cola Presnell of Asheboro and Lala Cates of High Point; and a half sister, Doris Pierce of Denton.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Briggs Funeral Home Memorial Chapel by the Rev. Vern Peterson. Burial will be in Denton Town Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at Briggs Funeral Home.

Randy Hicks
Kannapolis - Randy Lee Hicks, 47, of 7085 Unity Church Road, died July 23, 2000, as a result of an auto accident.
He was born June 22, 1955, in Davidson County, a son of J.R. and Janie Kinley Hicks. He was educated in the Davidson County schools and was of the Baptist faith.
Surviving are his wife, Deborah S. Hicks; a daughter, Robin Sue Hicks of Kannapolis; his mother; two brothers, Gregory W. and Jeffrey Hicks, both of Thomasville; his mother-in-law, Sue Oakley of Kannapolis.
Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in Holly Hill Memorial Park Cemetery, Thomasville, by the Rev. Keith Letterman. Visitation will be 6-8 tonight at Whitley's Funeral Home and other times at the residence of Tammy Aronda, 180 Western Acres.

Toni McCarter
High Point - Mrs. Clementina 'Toni' Coviello McCarter, 91, died July 23, 2000, at Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in Asheboro.
She was born May 5, 1909, in Revere, Mass., a daughter of Clorinda and Joseph Coviello. She moved to High Point in 1951 with her husband, William McCarter, where she resided until moving to Abbotswood, Greensboro, in 1998. She lived in two assisted living facilities prior to moving to Clapp's Convalescent Nursing Home in May.
She was a very active member of The Order of Eastern Star #106 in High Point, where she was a former matron. She also was a former president of the High Point Woman's Club. She was an active member of Christ United Methodist Church, until her health began to fail. She was preceded in death by her husband, two brothers, and a sister.
Surviving are her daughter, Bobbie Soucy Ritch and her husband, Jay, of Liberty; four grandchildren, David Ritch and his wife, Debbie, Scott Ritch and his wife, Laura, of Greensboro, Sheri Ritch Blue of New Orleans and Brian Ritch and his wife, Sandra, of Climax; four great-grandchildren, Stephanie Renee Ritch, Daniel Kyle Ritch, Jonathan David Ritch, all of Liberty and Sydney Faith Ritch of Climax; and two brothers, Louis Coviello of Revere, and Albert Coviello of Peabody, Mass.
Funeral will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Christ United Methodist Church by the Rev. Glen I. Myers and the Rev. Lloyd G. Hunsucker. Entombment will be in Oakwood Memorial Park Mausoleum. The body will be at Sechrest Funeral Home, High Point, until placed in the church 30 minutes prior to the service. Visitation will be 7-8:30 tonight at the funeral home.
Memorials may be directed to Christ United Methodist Church, 1300 N. College Drive, High Point, N.C. 27262 or to The Masonic and Eastern Star Home, 700 S. Holden Road, Greensboro, N.C. 27407.
