BESSEMER CITY — Annie Marie Clark Hastings, 79, of 1523 Hephzibah Church Road, died August 7, 2003. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Hephzibah Evangelical Presbyterian Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Saturday at Carpenter’s Funeral Home.
Born in Gaston County, she was a Sunday School teacher, president of the Women’s Circle and was a retired Avon Representative, homemaker and textile worker.
Survivors include two sons, Calvin Hastings of Cherryville and Donald Hastings of Chimney Rock; one daughter, Lenita Mason of Bessemer City; one brother, George Clark of Taylorsville; two sisters, Violet Bumgardner of Bessemer City and Margaret Crisp of Columbia, SC and four grandchildren, Linda Mason, Gwen Mason, Kevin Hastings and Kerri Hastings.
Memorials may be made to Hephzibah Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 1911 Hephzibah Church Road, Bessemer City, NC 28016.

E. Lattimore
Everett Willie Lee Lattimore, 48, of 895 Horseshoe Lake Road, died August 4, 2003. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Sunday at Bibleway Church No. 9. Burial will follow at Bibleway Church No. 6. The family will receive friends 30 minutes prior to the service.
Borin in Lincoln County, he served in the U.S. Army.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila Lattimore of the home; one son, Nathan Bailey of Washington State; two daughters, Detria McLain and Treva Lattimore both of Charlotte; his mother, Christine Lattimore of Statesville; two brothers, L.C. Smith of Lincolnton and Frank Cauthen Jr. of Statesville; three sisters, Mary Gidney of Lincolnton, Georgia Daniels of Statesville and Diane Jones of Charlotte and four grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to Bibleway Church No.9 Building Fund, PO Box 1456, Lincolnton, NC 28092.

Shane Cook
CASAR — Randall Shane Cook, 28, of 115 Gospel Music Drive, died August 7, 2003. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at First Broad Baptist Church. Burial followed in Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery.
Born in Cleveland County, he was a self-employed residential carpenter.
Survivors include his parents, Butch and Catherine Cook of the home; one brother, David Cook of Casar; one sister, Becky Heavner of Casar and several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made to the donor’s choice.

SHELBY — Randy Thompson, 37, of 517 East Marion St. Apt. C, died August 7, 2003. Funeral services will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday at ST Enloe Memorial Chapel at Enloe Mortuary. Burial will follow at Webb Memorial Lawns. The family will receive friends from 3:30 until 4 p.m. Tuesday at Enloe Mortuary.

Beulah Cook
LAWNDALE — Beulah Lee Whisnant Cook, 83, of 1923 Norman Parker Road, died August 8, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Stamey Funeral Home. Burial will follow in North Brook Baptist Church Cemetery, where she was a member.
Born in Catawba County, she was retired from Bridgestone Firestone as a splicer operator.
Survivors include one son, Gradie Cook Jr. of Lawndale; two daughters, Beulah Cook of Lawndale and Minnie Bullis of Kings Mountain; two half-sisters, Maudie Rhodes of Vale and Annie Beale of Maiden; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, two step-grandchildren and one step great-grandchild.
Memorials may be made to North Brook Baptist Church, 7421 Flay Road, Cherryville, NC 28021.

SHELBY — Odus Gene “Bud” Campbell, 51, of 102Douglas St., died August 7, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:30 until 2 p.m. today at the church.

Aleen Henley
MAIDEN — S. Aleen Henley, 86, of 6874 E. Hwy. 150, died August 9, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today at Friendly Chapel Baptist Church, where she was a member. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
She was born in Lincoln County.
Survivors include three sons, Charles “Gene” Henley of Denver, Giles Henley of Lincolnton and Gerald Henley of Maiden; one daughter, Linda Helton of Mt. Holly; four grandsons, Jeff Henley, Darin Henley, Chad Helton and Logan Stewart; five granddaughters, Christie Everhart, Tanya Henley, Tara Stewart, April McGinnis and Lexie Stewart; two great-grandsons; two great-granddaughters; one brother, Marvin Poole and one sister, Celestine Alexander.
Memorials may be made to Friendly Chapel Baptist Church Building Fund, 6815 E. NC 150 Hwy., Maiden, NC 28650.

Nadine Belle Morrison, 73, of 1659 Riverview Road, died August 8, 2003. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. today at Cone Memorial Chapel of Carpenters Funeral Home. Burial followed in City Memorial Cemetery.
Born in Lincoln County, she was a retired textile worker.
Survivors include one daughter, Connie Jones of Anaheim, Calif.; five sons, Douglas Morrison, Tommy Morrison, Richard Morrison and Jim Morrison all of Lincolnton and Dale Morrison of Waco; three brothers, Garlas Morrison Johnson and Willard Johnson both of Kings Mountain and Edward Johnson of Mt. Holly; two sisters, Muriel Grant of Lincolnton and Shirley Reynolds of Crouse; 15 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

DENVER — Gary Lee Johns, 46, of Denver, died August 8, 2003. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today in the Chapel of Raymer Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Cemetery.

MECKLENBURG — Thomas Ellis Skeel, 84, of Davidson, died August 7, 2003. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. today at Lingle Chapel at Davidson College Presbyterian Church.
Born in Cleveland, Ohio, he was a WWII U.S. Navy veteran and was retired from Consolidated Natural Gas Company.
Survivors include two sons, Thomas Skeel Jr. of Virginia and Peter Skeel of Pa..; one daughter, Laura Seaholm of Clayton, Calif.; one sister, Shirley Curry of Atlanta, Ga.; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society, 500 E. Morehead, St., Suite 211, Charlotte, NC 28202.

Born in Bartow County, Ga., she was a retired from the textile industry.
Survivors include one daughter, Jackie McAllister of Lincolnton; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and seven great great-grandchildren.

Billy Gordon Lineberger, 75, of 1129 Carpenter Drive, died August 10, 2003. Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Tuesday at New Heights Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Salem Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 until 8:30 tonight at Warlick Funeral Home.
Born in Gaston County, he was a retired textile employee.
