Agatha Huber
Funeral services for Agatha Huber, 90, Aberdeen, S.D., were held on Tuesday, July 1, 2003 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Aberdeen. Mrs. Huber died Wednesday, June 25, 2003 at Avera Mother Joseph Manor, Aberdeen.
Agatha Klein, daughter of Lorenz and Catherine (Schwab) Klein was born on May 20, 1913 at Hague, N.D. She was raised attended rural schools at Hague.
On November 5, 1935, she married Jacob Huber at Strasburg, N.D. Agatha was a member of St. Mary’s Altar Society and a volunteer Foster Grandparent at the Boys and Girls Club.
She is survived by two sons, Gene Huber, Lisbon and Louie (Diane) Huber, Bismarck; five daughters, Ann Englund, Anoka, Minn., Kathy (Dick) Bourne, Oakes, Linda (Gary) Kullnat, Tucson, Ariz. Sharon (Michael) Beck, Aberdeen, and Patricia (Edwin) Sundall, Presho, S.D.; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild; one brother, Wendlin Klein, Kennewick, Wash.; three half-sisters, Elenore Mitzel, Mobridge, S.D., Lavern (LeRoy) Steiger, Mound City, S.D. and Kathryn Wanderwerf, Prior Lake, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband Jacob in 1983, one son, Larry Huber, one granddaughter, Brenda Huber Krueger, one grandson, Jerry Huber, two brothers and one sister.
Pallbearers for the funeral were William Huber, Robert Fenno, Jr., Ronald Fenno, Richard Fenno, Russell Fischer and Mark VonNordheim. Honorary pallbearers were Dean Huber, Don Huber and Scott Beck.
Interment at Sunset Memorial Gardens, Aberdeen.

Jennie L. Rude
Funeral services for Jennie L. Rude, 95, Twin Valley, Minn., were held on Monday, July 7, 2003 at Zion Lutheran Church, Twin Valley, Minn. Pastor Charles Bade officiated. Mrs. Rude died Wednesday, July 2, 2003 in MeritCare Hospital, Fargo.
Jennie Louise Enga, daughter of Ivar and Karen (Antonson) Enga was born on August 9, 1907 in Verona. She was raised near Fort Ransom where she grew up and attended school. As a young woman, Jennie did housekeeping in Ayr, N.D. and Fargo.
On November 25, 1936, she married William Rude in Fargo. Together they farmed near Fort Ransom before returning to the family farm near Twin Valley in the late 1940s. Bill and Jennie moved into Twin Valley in 1965. She was employed by Norman County East School in the cafeteria and also in food service at the Twin Valley Living Center. He died May 25, 1997. After his death, she moved into the Valley Pines Apartments, then in 1999, to the Lincoln Terrace Apartments in Twin Valley. Mrs. Rude was an active member of the VFW Auxiliary, garden club and homemakers group.
She is survived by two sons, Dennis Rude, Bonney Lake, Wash., and Bruce (Monica) Rude, Kent, Wash.; two daughters, MarJean (Jess) Stokes, Green Valley, Ariz., and Darlene (Paul) Gast, Green Bay, Wis.; nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one brother, Iver.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Lyle Bakke, Dale Treichel, Dean Rogers, Jim Natwick, Curtis Bentley and Tom Natwick. Honorary pallbearers will be all the residents and staff at the Lincoln Terrace Apartments, Twin Valley.
Music was provided by organist Monica Winter and soloist Kenneth Holum.
Interment at Zion Lutheran Cemetery, Twin Valley, Minn.
Anderson Funeral Home, Twin Valley, Minn., was in charge of arrangements.

Ronald S. Donaldson
Funeral services for Ronald S. Donaldson, 76, Oakes, formerly of Wahpeton, were held on Monday, July 7, 2003, at Grace Lutheran Church, Oakes. Reverend Harvey Pedersen officiated. Mr. Donaldson died Thursday, July 3, 2003 at MeritCare Hospital in Fargo.
Ronald S. Donaldson, son of Iver and Sophia (Peterson) Donaldson was born on May 22, 1927 in Britton, S.D. He grew up and attended school in Rutland, N.D. After his schooling, Ronnie entered the United States Army and served his country during World War II. After being honorably discharged in 1946, Ronnie returned to the Rutland area and started Rutland Plumbing and Heating.
On January 16, 1970, he married Laura Lonbaken in Valley City. Over the years, Ronnie owned many businesses in the Sargent County area. including Gwinner Plumbing and Heating, the Crossroads Motel in Gwinner, and area bars in Rutland and Forman. In the late 1980s Ronnie and Laura moved to Petersburg, N.D., where Ronnie ran the Legion Club. In 1995, the couple moved to Wahpeton, where Ron worked for Red River Human Services until his retirement. In March of 2003, Ronnie entered the Oakes Good Samaritan Center in Oakes. He was a member of the Masons, Shriners, Lions Club and over a 50-year member of the American Legion Post in Rutland.
He is survived by his wife, Laura Donaldson, Wahpeton; two daughters, Leslie (Brian) Dethlefsen, Oakes and Nicole (Dan) Donaldson-Ness, Fargo; two grandsons; one brother, Donald Donaldson, Concord, Calif.; and one sister, Phyllis (Leif) Sundlie, Cathedral City, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Dean Rockswold, Bernie Mahrer, Bob Bergeson, Roger, Pearson, Roger Lonbaken, Cory Olsen, Clint Lonbaken, Leif Sundlie, and Darryl Lonbaken.
Music was provided by organist Kathy Sitzler and soloist Roger Wehlander.
Military rites presented by Bergman and Evenson American Legion Post #215.
Interment at Rutland Cemetery, Rutland, N.D.
Dahlstrom Funeral Home, Oakes, was in charge of arrangements.

Mildred K. Lambrecht
Funeral services for Mildred K. Lambrecht, 83, Lisbon, were held on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at Redeemer Lutheran church, Lisbon. Reverend Donald Polege officiated. Mrs. Lambrecht died Monday, July 7, 2003 at Parkside Nursing Home, Lisbon.
Mildred K. Mairs, daughter of Ray J. and Fern (Hand) Mairs was born on December 2, 1919, in Lisbon. She attended rural Lisbon School.
On October 13, 1941, she married William C. Lambrecht in Lisbon. They farmed near Lisbon until 1980 when they moved into Lisbon. Mildred belonged to Homemakers club and was a charter member of Lutheran Women’s Missionary League of Redeemer Lutheran church. He died June 11, 1996.
She is survived by two sons, Allen (Helen) Lambrecht, Lisbon and Jack (Carol) Lambrecht, Lisbon; one daughter, Nancy (Richard) Hanson, Enderlin; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; three brothers, Herb (Clarice) Lisbon, Sid (Shirley) Lisbon, and Curt, Lisbon. She was preceded in death by one sister, Grace Woodbeck and three brothers, Russell, Willard and Dale.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Chad Lambrecht, Darren Hanson, Bryan Hanson, Randal Hanson, Brad Lambrecht, and Ben Lambrecht. Honorary pallbearers were Herb and Clarice Mairs, Sid and Shirley Mairs, Betty Lou Mairs, Shirley Mairs, Curt Mairs, and Parkside Staff.
Music was provided by organist Mary Jo Smith and vocalists Brad Lambrecht and Charlene Rondestvedt.
Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.
Armstrong Funeral Home, Lisbon, was in charge of arrangements.

Clara Doering
Funeral services for Clara Doering, 92, Lisbon, were held on Monday, July 7, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisbon. Reverend Norman Anderson and Reverend David Killeen officiated. Mrs. Doering died Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at Lisbon Area Health Services Nursing Home.
Clara Olstad, daughter of Ole and Minnie (Olson) Olstad was born on November 6, 1910, Valley City, N.D. She attended school in rural Valley City and Valley City Schools.
On October 3, 1938, she married Bernard Doering in Aberdeen, S.D. Clara was employed by J.C. Penney’s in Valley City. They moved to Lisbon in 1942 where they established Lisbon Hatchery and Produce. They retired 25 years later. Clara was a member of Eastern Star, Women’s Club and Parkside Auxiliary. He died March 17, 1999.
She is survived by nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Elmer Lindstrom, Bill Sullivan, Russell Reinke, Jack Sweet, Norm Vangsness, Cliff Lehmann, and Orval Speich.
Music was provided by organist Cindy Hagel and soloist Arlys Carter.
Interment at Oakwood Cemetery, Lisbon.

Peter L. Goettle
Funeral services for Peter L. Goettle, 38, Gwinner, were held on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at Gustaf Adolf Lutheran Church, Gwinner. Reverend Liz Engel officiated. Mr. Goettle died Friday, July 4, 2003 at his home in Gwinner under Hospice care.
Peter L. Goettle, son of Gerald and Viola ((Nitschke) Goettle was born on February 6, 1965 in Ellendale. He attended school in Ashley.
On February 13, 1999, he married Michelle Hovorka in Gwinner. Peter farmed near Ashley. He worked at Blumhardt Manufacturing in Ashley as a welder. He worked for Wiest Trucking in Gackle, Wil-Rich Trucking and Mike Goettle Trucking before moving to Gwinner in the fall of 1995. He worked for Arrowhead Transport in Gwinner.
He is survived by his wife Michelle Goettle; one son, Dylan Goettle, at home; one step-daughter, Ashley Nunn, at home; three brothers, Terry (Sue) Goettle, Lincoln, Neb., Paul (Cindy) Goettle, Bismarck, James (Sharie) Goettle, Gwinner; one sister, Kristie (Neil) Schnabel, Ashley; father and mother-in-law, Tom and Linda Hovorka, Roseau, Minn.
Pallbearers for the funeral were Adam Wrage, Kevin Bolander, Steve Johnson, Wally Moldenhauer, Larry Mustad, and Paul White. Honorary pallbearers were his nieces and nephews.
Music was provided by organist Naomi Vincent and soloist Neal Schlepp.
Interment at Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Ashley, N.D.

Stella E. Skramstad
Funeral services for Stella E. Skramstad, 94, Valley City, formerly Nome, were held on Monday, July 7, 2003 at St. Petri Lutheran church, near Nome. Reverend Bradley Edin and Reverend Ellen Arthur officiated. Mrs. Skramstad died Thursday, July 3, 2003 at the Sheyenne Care Center in Valley City.
Stella Emily Anderson, daughter of Gilbert and Bertha (Oilien) Anderson was born on September 24, 1908 at Nome. Her family farmed near Nome and later moved into town so the children could attend school at the newly built school at Nome.
On May 29, 1925, she married Oscar Skramstad. The couple farmed near Nome and she cooked at the Nome School for several years and also operated the Nome cafe. She was a very active member of St. Petri’s church and served as president of the ladies aid, superintendent of the Sunday School, and was a lifetime member of Dorcas Circle. In 1966 she and Oscar moved to Valley City and she started working for the Sheyenne Manor. Oscar died in 1980 and she continued to make her home in Valley City. In February of this year she moved to the Sheyenne Care Center.
She is survived by two sons, LeRoy (Marlyne) Skramstad, Enderlin, and Gerald (Sharon) Skramstad, Warner, S.D.; six daughters, Alvina (Ray) Miller, Valley city, JoAnn (Gerald) Sowden, Billings, Mont.; Jacqueline (Sherman) Johnson, Coon Rapids, Minn., Carol (James) Peterson, Bismarck, Sandra (Robert) Hanson, Leonard, and Barbara (William) Nagowski, Bismarck; 18 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild; and one sister, Getta Evenson, St. Paul, Minn. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, four brothers, and four sisters.

Inga J. Munkeby
Funeral services for Inga J. Munkeby, 96, Lisbon, were held on Tuesday, May 20, 2003 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lisbon. Reverend Norman Anderson and Reverend David Killeen officiated. Mrs. Munkeby died Friday, May 16, 2003 at Lisbon Area Health Services, Lisbon.
Inga J. Jodsaas, daughter of Oscar and Bertha (Stukhaug) Jodsaas was born on September 26, 1906 in rural Englevale, N.D. She attended rural Fort Ransom and Hanson Consolidated High School.
On March 12, 1929, she married Henry Munkeby in rural Fort Ransom. They farmed near Fort Ransom. They moved to Lisbon in September of 1976. He died July 2, 1978.
She is survived by two sons, Walter (Eileen) Munkeby, Lisbon and Ronald (Bette) Munkeby, Mesa, Ariz.; ten grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; one greatgreat-grandchild. She was preceded in death by her husband and a great-great-grandchild.
Pallbearers for the funeral were her grandchildren.
Music was provided by organist Carol McCann and soloist Charlene Rondestvedt.
Interment at Stiklestad cemetery, rural Fort Ransom.
Armstrong, Funeral Lisbon, was in charge of arrangements.
