ALEXANDRIA - Therese L. DuBreuil, 69, of Alexandria, died yesterday at Franklin Regional Hospital.

She was born in Pawtucket, R.I., the daughter of Oscar and Sylvina (Lagasse) Lapre. She was raised in Smithfield, R.I., and later lived in Pawtucket for two years.

She attended Kinyon's Commercial School in Pawtucket.

She was formerly employed at the Snowy Owl Inn in Waterville Valley, and was a communicant of St. Timothy Church in Bristol.

She was predeceased by a sister, Janet Descouteaux; and a brother, Leo Lapre.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Armand DuBreuil of Alexandria; five sons, Donald DuBreuil of Belmont, Richard DuBreuil of Franklin, David DuBreuil of Belmont, Marc DuBreuil of Blackstone, Mass., and Gerald DuBreuil of Plymouth; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandson; two brothers, Clarence Lapre and Ernest Lapre, both of Lincoln, R.I.; five sisters, Rita Perry of North Smithfield, R.I., Elaine Gagnon of Pawtucket, R.I., Claire Foisy of Cumberland, R.I., Anita Houle of South Attleboro, Mass., and Yvette Lapre of Lincoln, R.I.; and several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Thibault-Neun Funeral Home, 143 Franklin St., Franklin. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. tomorrow in St. Paul Church, School Street, Franklin. Burial will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Franklin.

Donations in her memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.

The Thibault-Neun Funeral Home of Franklin is in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth W. Nelson, BEVERLY, Mass.

Thursday, November 4, 1999

BEVERLY, Mass. - Elizabeth W. "Libby" Nelson, 83, formerly of Concord, died yesterday at her home after a long illness.

She was born in Bellows Falls, Vt., the daughter of Walter and Mabel Wheeler. She grew up in Concord and lived in Beverly, Mass., for many years.

She graduated from the Wellesley College Class of 1938.

She was a past president and member of the board of directors for the Girdler House in Beverly, Mass., and was also active in the First Parish Unitarian Church in Beverly, Mass. She was also a member of the Wellesley College Club and the Beverly College Club.

She was predeceased by a son, David Nelson.

She is survived by a daughter, Katherine Greene of Derry; two brothers, Clinton Nelson of Hampton, and David Wheeler of Manchester; and several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the First Parish Unitarian Church, 225 Cabot St., Beverly, Mass. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. There are no visiting hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Memorial Fund of the First Parish Unitarian Church, Beverly, Mass. 01915 or to the Hospice of the North Shore, 10 Elm St., Danvers, Mass. 01923.

Hazel C. Glines, NORTHFIELD

NORTHFIELD - Hazel C. Glines, 91, of Northfield, died Wednesday at Merrimack County Nursing Home in Boscawen.

She was born in Gilmanton, the daughter of Romie and Lola (Barnum) Little.

She attended the Boston Bible Training Institute and was a guest speaker in churches throughout Boston.

She is survived by a large family of nieces and nephews.

Graveside funeral services will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. in Mason Cemetery in Moultonboro. There are no visiting hours.

Donations in her memory may be made to the charity of one's choice.

Deborah A. Cummings, FOREST CITY, Fla.

Friday, November 5, 1999

FOREST CITY, Fla. - Deborah A. Cummings, 44, a native of Boscawen, died Oct. 27.

She was born the daughter of Joseph and Marguerite Stenebeke.

She graduated from Merrimack Valley High School and moved to Florida in 1976.

She and her husband co-owned S&W Kitchens in Longwood and Winter Park, Fla.

She was a member of the New Smyrna Beach Yacht Club.

Her biggest joy in life, after her family, was boating.

She is survived by two daughters, Julie Tempest and Jessica Cummings, both of Apopka, Fla.; a brother, Joe Stenebeke of Longwood, Fla.; and three sisters, Jeanette Triacca, Maureen Kleinman, and Kathleen Huber, all of Longwood, Fla.

Memorial services were held on Oct. 30 in Forest City, Fla.

Baldwin-Fairchild Funeral Home in Forest City, Fla., was in charge of arrangements.

Russell W. Pearson, LACONIA

Friday, November 5, 1999

LACONIA - Russell W. Pearson, 87, of Laconia, died yesterday at the St. Francis Home.

He was born in Meredith, the son of William and Florence (Chase) Pearson. He was a lifelong resident of Laconia.

He was the head gardener at the Laconia State School and Training Center for 20 years before retiring in 1979. He and his late wife, Eileen, operated the Pearson dairy and vegetable stand on Old North Main Street for many years.

He was a member of the Mt. Belknap Grange No. 52, past master of the Belknap County Pomona Grange and Golden Shief. He was also a member of the state of New Hampshire National Grange and a past deputy of the New Hampshire state grange.

He was a charter member and past president Agate, S.E.A., Chapter No. 1, and was a member of both Local Chapter AARP No. 1318 and the National Chapter of AARP. He was also a member of the Opechee Park Association.

He is survived by three sisters, Marjorie Taylor of Laconia, Earline Sanborn of Laconia, and Christine DeLucca of Laconia; and several nephews and nieces.

Calling hours will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the Wilkinson-Beane Funeral Home, 164 Pleasant St., Laconia, using the Carriage House Entrance.

Services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the funeral home. The Rev. Ethel Lee Matthews, pastor of the Hill Center Church, will officiate. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery in Laconia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Francis Home, Activities Fund, 406 Court St., Laconia 03246.

Dorothy Roeder, LACONIA

Friday, November 5, 1999

LACONIA - Dorothy "Dee" Roeder, 85, of Ledges Drive, died Wednesday at the Lakes Region General Hospital.

She was born in Medford, Mass., the daughter of Harold and Blanche (Johnstone) Mack. She graduated from Melrose High School in 1932, and from Colby Junior College in 1934. She moved to Laconia in 1947.

She and her husband opened the Hickory Stick Farm Restaurant in Belmont in the spring of 1950. They retired to Florida in 1975, but remained active in the restaurant for several years.

She was a member of the Center Church Quilters in Gilmanton, as well as the Belknap Mill Quilters Guild.

She was a volunteer at the Shaker Village in Canterbury, and was a member of the Altrusa Club of Laconia. She attended the Tuftonboro United Methodist Church in Tuftonboro.

She was predeceased by her husband, Charles Roeder, and a sister, Marjorie Martin.

She is survived by two sons, D. Scott Roeder of Belmont, and Stephen Roeder of Gilford; two grandsons; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Richard Mack of Helsinki, Finland; a sister, Eleanor McKenney of Daytona Beach, Fla.; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours. A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Nov. 13 at the Tuftonboro United Methodist Church, Route 171, Tuftonboro Corner. The Rev. Bill Hartford, pastor of the church, will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Tuftonboro United Methodist Church Building Fund, c/o Rev. Bill Hartford, 32 Birch Hill Estates Road, Wolfeboro 03894.

WEARE - Joan C. Sawyer, 70, of Portsmouth, died Tuesday after a long illness.

She is survived by three sons, Gary Chag, Mark Chag and David Chag.

A reception will be held at noon tomorrow at the Philbrick-Clement American Legion Hall of Weare.

Charles S. Hersey Jr., HILLSBORO

HILLSBORO - Charles S. Hersey Jr., 85, of Hillsboro, died Wednesday at Concord Hospital.

He was born in Meriden, the son of Charles and Carrie (Fadden) Hersey. He lived in Hillsboro for the past 60 years.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Edith (Swett) Hersey of Hillsboro; two daughters, Jeannette Walsh of Washington and Barbara Hersey of Hillsboro; four grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; a sister, Gertrude Mulhall of Antrim; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.

Private graveside services will be held at the convenience of the family in Maple Avenue Cemetery in Hillsboro.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Hillsboro Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 350, Hillsboro 04244.
