Mary J. Kwasnik
MINE HILL - Mary J. Kwasnik, 78, died Monday, July 10, 2006, at the Dwelling Place at Saint Clare's Hopsital in Dover after a long illness. Born in Passaic, Mrs. Kwasnik lived in Rockaway before moving to Mine Hill in 1953.
Mrs. Kwasnik was employed as a clerk at Crum & Foster in Parsippany for 10 years before retiring in 1993. She was an avid bowler and had served in officer positions for several bowling clubs throughout Morris County. She had been a member of St. Mary's R.C. Church in Wharton since 1953.
Mrs. Kwasnik was predeceased by her brother, Ed Majewski in 2005. She is survived by her husband, John Kwasnik; her son, Stanley J. of Mine Hill; two daughters, Karen Sudol of Franklin and Dianna Quintana of Kenvil; her sister, Vicky Zak of Connecticut; and five grandchildren.
Visitation will be Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph. A funeral Mass will be held at St. Mary's R.C. Church in Wharton on Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to The Dwelling Place at Saint Clare's Hospital, 400 West Blackwell St., Dover, N.J. 07801.

Yolanda L. McCarthy
FRANKLIN - Yolanda L. McCarthy, 94, died Tuesday, July 4, 2006, at the Barn-Hill Care Center in Newton. Mrs. McCarthy was born in Franklin and she was a lifelong resident of the borough.
Mrs. McCarthy was a seamstress for Franklin Dress Co. in Newton for 22 years, retiring in 1972.
She was predeceased by her husband, Pierre McCarthy, in 1962.
Mrs. McCarthy is survived by two daughters, Sheila Phillips of Ogdensburg and Kathleen Madden of Nutley; one son, James McCarthy of Fort Walton Beach, Fla.; two sisters, Elsie Osterhout of Palmerton, Pa., and Lucy Geer of Pittsfield, Mass.; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be private.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 669 Littleton Road, Parsippany, N.J. 07054 or to a favorite charity.
Arrangements are by the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin.

MYDOSH, VAUGHN, of Sussex, entered into rest at home on Saturday, Oct. 22, 2005, after a six-year battle with leukemia. He was a self-employed truck driver, or "professional tourist" as he called it, for 30 years. Husband of Margaret Mydosh. Brother of Bryan Mydosh, Cindy Mydosh and Joan Stelmach. Father of John Mydosh, Tom Duff, Bernadette Trapp and Becky Duff. Father-in-law of Henry Trapp Jr. Grandfather of Henry Trapp III. Uncle to nine nieces and nephews. "Vaughn's greatest joy in life was to be able to make people smile. For a brief moment, people could forget how hard and unfair life could be and just feel good and smile or laugh. There are so many people who were grateful he was so good at this. We will all miss that good hearted, kind man." Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, Nov. 7 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Scapular Church, Unionville, N.Y. Burial will take place in the family plot in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Pine Island, N.Y. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations go to the Sanctuary for Animals, 38 William Lain Road, Westtown, N.Y. 10998. Arrangements by the T.S. PURTA FUNERAL HOME, 22 Glenmere Ave., Florida, N.Y. 10921.

Audrey Davis
BRANCHVILLE - Audrey Davis, 81, died Sunday at Newton Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Davis lived in Hillsdale before moving to Branchville. Before retiring she was a homemaker and had a child care service in Washington Township, Bergen County.
Mrs. Davis is the wife of the late Sheldon R. and mother of the late Alan. She is survived by three daughters, Linda, of Branchville, Barbara Phillips and her husband Jim, of Hillsdale and Susan Wright and her husband Ray, of East Harwich, Mass., seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by the Smith-McCracken Funeral Home, 63 High St., Newton.

John Henry Faherty
WANTAGE - John Henry Faherty, 62, formerly of South Hackensack, died on Saturday.
Before retiring in 2004, Mr. Faherty was a truck driver for ASA Apple in Port Newark.
He had served in the United States Army and was a volunteer fireman in South Hackensack.
Mr. Faherty is survived by his wife, Gail (Zindle); children, Dawn Cueman and Jodi; sister, Michele Aida and brothers, Jeffrey and Peter; mother, Bertha (Schlodtz) and four grandchildren.
Arrangements are being handled by the Trinka-Faustini Funeral Service, 439 Maywood Ave., Maywood.

William A. Kleiner Sr.
WANTAGE - William A. Kleiner Sr., 70, died Monday at Newton Memorial Hospital.
Born in Trenton, Mr. Kleiner had lived in Denville before moving to Sussex County in 1991.
Mr. Kleiner was employed as a teacher at the Roseland Grammar School, teaching art and English for 35 years before retiring 20 years ago.
He was a member of the Sussex Over 50 Club and was an avid artist, having exhibited his works in the New Jersey State Fair/Sussex County Farm and Horse Show.
Mr. Kleiner was predeceased by a brother, Joseph.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; two sons, William A. Jr., of Wantage and David, of Jersey City; two daughters, Kathleen Gathercoal, of Oregon and Elizabeth Sherpa, of Denville; one brother, Dr. Anton, of Reading, Pa. and five grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank St. (Route 23), Sussex.

Ralph B. Ball Jr.
LAS VEGAS, Nev. - Ralph B. Ball Jr., 73, died Aug. 2.
He lived in Franklin, N.J, before moving to Las Vegas.
Mr. Ball was a captain with the Picatinny Arsenal Fire Department, Local F169, before his retirement and was a former chief of the Franklin Fire Department.
He was also a member of the Sussex County Firemans Assocation, Franklin Exempt Firemans Association, New Jersey State Firemans Association and the New Jersey State Firemans Relief Association, and was a past president of Fire Prevention Association and secretary of the Exempt Firemans Association.
Mr. Ball also was a member of Kuntry Kuzins Square Dance Club. He served as a sergeant in the U.S. Army National Guard and was a member of Samaritan Lodge No. 98, F.&A.M.; of Hardyston, N.J.
Mr. Ball is survived by his wife, Peggy Sisco Ball; one son, Alan; one daughter, Patti Stipanov and her husband, Chris, all of Las Vegas, Nev.; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
Arrangements are being handled by the First Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Franklin.

Alda Avondoglio
ANDOVER - Alda Polarolo Avondoglio "Grandma," 95, died at her son's home in Andover on Thursday.
Born in 1910 in New York City to Quinto and Carolina Polarolo, Mrs. Avondoglio was a former resident of Corona, Queens, N.Y. for 39 years before moving to Andover in 1972.
She was a member of the Sparta Senior Citizens and a long time member of Our Lady of the Lake Church, Sparta.
She was predeceased by her husband, Victor Avondoglio Sr.
She is survived by one son, Victor Avondoglio Jr. and his wife Maureen; four grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Goble Funeral Home, 22 Main St., Sparta.

Josephine Bierstine
WANTAGE - Josephine "Jutzi" Bierstine, 71, died Thursday at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover.
The daughter of the late Louis and Anna Bozek Osczepinski, she was born on March 19, 1934, in Florida, N.Y.
Mrs. Bierstine was a retired switchboard operator with Selective Insurance in Branchville.
She was an avid bowler with the Tri-Town Ladies Bowling League of Warwick, N.Y., 4 O's Card Club of Goshen, N.Y., a member of the Living Rosary Society of St. Stanislaus Church, Pine Island, N.Y., and a member of St. Monica's Church, Sussex.
Mrs. Bierstine is predeceased by four brothers, Joseph, Frank, Louis and Albert Osczepinski, formerly of Goshen and three sisters, Loretta Sadowski, formerly of Newark; Alexandra Labanowski and Theresa Sobiech, formerly of Goshen, N.Y.
She is survivored two sons, Edward "Skip Jr." Bierstine Jr. , of Greenville, N.Y. and Anthony "Tony" Bierstine, of Wantage; one brother Stanley Osczepinski Sr. and his wife Florence, of Goshen, N.Y.; two sisters, Irene Rogowski and Caroline Madura, both of Goshen, N.Y.; one sister-in-law, Agnes Osczepinski of Pine Island, N.Y.; four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the T.S. Purta Funeral Home, 22 Glenmere Avenue, Florida, N.Y.
