MARIO OPROMOLLO, 68, of Fair Lawn, formerly of Elmwood Park, died Sunday.
Before retiring in 1986, he was a lieutenant in for the Paterson Police Department, where he worked for 36 years.
A Navy veteran of World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 281, Fair Lawn.
He was a parishioner of St. Anne R.C. Church, Fair Lawn, and a member of its Holy Name Society.
He was a member of Police Benevolent Association 1, Paterson.
Arrangements: Festa Memorial Funeral Home, Totowa.

FRED H. PAPALEO, 78, of Emerson, formerly of Englewood, died Monday.
Before retiring in 1990, he owned Twin Upholstery, Emerson, for 50 years.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 3286, Cresskill.
Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

CLAIRE J. PEASE, 80, of Hampden, Pa., formerly of Glen Rock, died Sunday.
Arrangements: Malpezzi Funeral Home, Mechanicsburg, Pa.

MARY SHAW PERRY, 87, of Somers Point, formerly of Teaneck, died Saturday.
She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
Arrangements: George H. Wimberg Funeral Home, Linwood.

IRENE DWYER REMINGTON, 45, of West Milford, formerly of the Pompton Plains section of Pequannock, died Monday.
She was a teller for Fleet Bank, West Milford.
Arrangements: Richards Funeral Home, West Milford.

JOSEPHINE RICHBERG, 65, of Paterson, formerly of Ridgewood and Montclair, died Saturday.
She owned a day-care center.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church, Paterson, where she also was in the Senior Choir and Outreach Ministry.
Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.

ANGELINA GRASSO RIGON, 89, of Lodi died Sunday.
Before retiring in 1972, she was an assembler for the Dova Handbag Co., Lodi, where she worked for 30 years.
Arrangements: Alesso Funeral Home, Lodi.

THOMAS SCORNAVACCA, 86, of Ridgefield Park died Monday. Before retiring, he was an auto body mechanic for National Auto Body Workers, Garfield, where he worked for 21 years.
An Army veteran of World War II, he was a member of the 507th Parachute Infantry Association; American Legion Post 118, Secaucus; and Disabled American Veterans 15, Rutherford.
He had been a prisoner of war.
He was a parishioner of St. Francis R.C. Church, Ridgefield Park.
Arrangements: Vorhees Funeral Home, Ridgefield Park.

HENRY "HARRY" A. SHIELDS, 63, of Rutherford died Sunday.
He was academic dean of evening and summer sessions and continuing education at St. Peter's College, Jersey City.
Previously, he was a teacher at Henry Snyder High School, Jersey City.
He was a parishioner of Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Lyndhurst, a member of the Bergen County Audubon Society, and a board member of the New Jersey Audubon Society and the Rutherford Community Blood Bank.
A graduate of St. Peter's College, he received a master's degree from Seton Hall University.
Arrangements: Collins-Calhoun Funeral Home, Rutherford.

HAROLD SPILLANE of Sea Level, N.C., formerly of Maywood, died April 28.
Before retiring, he worked for U.S. Maritime Services.
He was a Coast Guard veteran of World War II.
Arrangements: Bell-Munden Funeral Home, Morehead, N.C.

EVELYN MAZEL WARREN, 34, of Paterson died Friday.
She was a former cashier at A&P, Maywood.
Previously, she was a chef at Alexander's department store, Paramus.
Arrangements: Bragg Funeral Home, Paterson.
