HOWARD R. ANDERSON, 85, of Jackson Township, formerly of Rutherford and Washington Township, died Monday. Before retiring in 1978, he was a steward for United States Lines, New York City, where he worked for 35 years. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Arrangements: George S. Hassler Funeral Home, Jackson Township.

LOUIS BERNARDINO, 74, of Ridgefield Park died Sunday. Before retiring in 1994, he was a custodian for the Paramus schools, where he worked for 10 years. He was an Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of Elks Lodge 1506, Ridgefield Park. Arrangements: McCorry Bros. Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

IRVING BREZIN, 82, of Clifton, formerly of Fair Lawn, died Sunday. Born in Poland, he came to the United States in 1949. Before retiring, he was a weaver for Boris Kroll Inc., Paterson. He was a member of the Farband Labor Zionist Order and a former member of the Jewish Center, both in Fair Lawn. Arrangements: Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

OLGA BULLEN, 89, of Lincoln Park, formerly of Teaneck, died Saturday. Born in Trinidad, she came to the United States 28 years ago. Before retiring in 1979, she was a domestic worker for the Gregory family, Englewood Cliffs. She was a parishioner of St. Cecilia R.C. Church, Englewood. Arrangements: Nesbitt Funeral Home, Englewood.

ANNE D. CALDWELL, 88, of Wayne died Monday. Before retiring, she was a secretary for National Carbon Co., New York City. She was a member of the Packanack Community Church, Wayne. She was a member of the Packanack Golf Club, the Packanack Players, and Packanack Lake Country Club. Arrangements: Vander May Wayne Colonial Funeral Home, Wayne.

SUSAN CAMERONE CUTRO, 74, of Cliffside Park died Monday. Arrangements: A.K. Macagna Funeral Home, Cliffside Park.

WILLIAM E. DERN, 93, of Clearwater, Fla., formerly of Ridgewood, died Sunday. Before retiring, he was a production manager for Borden Dairy Products, Paterson. He received a bachelor of science and a master of science degree from Penn State University. Arrangements: Becker Funeral Home, Westwood.

VIRGINIA LOVELL DEVINE, 73, of Whiting, formerly of Totowa, died Monday. Before retiring, she was a legal secretary. She was a member of United Methodist Church, Teaneck. She was a member of the General Society of Mayflower Descendants, the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and the Descendants of Founders of New Jersey. Arrangements: Festa Memorial Funeral Home, Totowa.

LILLIAN GOLDBERG DORF, 90, of North Miami Beach, Fla., formerly of Teaneck, died Monday. She was a member of Congregation Ahavath Torah, Englewood, and was a member of its sisterhood. She was a member of Hadassah, Englewood. Arrangements: Louis Suburban Chapel, Fair Lawn.

FRANCIS J. DOYLE, 72, of Franklin Lakes died Sunday. Before retiring, he was a controller for Essex Chemical Co., Clifton. He was an Army veteran of World War II and served with the Army Air Force from 1948 to 1952. He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, Wyckoff. He was a member of American Legion Post 118, Secaucus, the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and the N.J. Society of Certified Public Accountants. He was a graduate of Seton Hall University, South Orange, and received an MBA from New York University. Arrangements: Vander Plaat-Vermeulen Memorial Home, Franklin Lakes.

ALICE CLAYTON DUNNE, 95, of Palisades Park died Sunday. She was a member of the Catholic Daughter of America, West New York. Arrangements: D'Agostino Funeral Home, Haskell/Wanaque.

EDELBERT P. HOEHER, 72, of Wyckoff died Sunday. Born in Germany, he came to the United States in 1964. Before retiring in 1982, he was founder and president of Professional Retirement Planners, Wayne. Previously, he was an instructor for the College of Life Underwriters and district manager for Metropolitan Life Insurance. He was a parishioner of St. Elizabeth R.C. Church, Wyckoff. He was a member and secretary emeritus of the Rheinische Saengerbund, North Bergen. Arrangements: Vander Plaat Funeral Home, Wyckoff.

JOAN COOPER HOFFMAN, 65, of Oakland, formerly of Ridgewood and Allendale, died Sunday. She was chairwoman of the Ridgewood High School Reunion Committee for many years. Arrangements: Olthuis Funeral Home, Midland Park.

EDNA M. JONES of Hackensack died Friday. A mortician, she was co-owner of Earl I. Jones Funeral Home, Hackensack. Previously, she was co-owner of the former Bullock Funeral Homes of Hackensack and Englewood. She had taught in the New York City public schools and was a recreation instructor for Memorial House, Englewood. She was a 1933 graduate of West Virginia State College, with a bachelor of science degree in education. She was a 1952 graduate of the American Academy School of Mortuary Science, New York City. She was a member of New Hope Baptist Church, Hackensack, and its Golden Gems. She was a charter member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Hackensack. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, North Jersey chapter; of the Princess Cruise Line Captain's Circle; and of Jack and Jill of America, Bergen County chapter. Arrangements: Earl I. Jones Funeral Home, Hackensack.
