FRANCES PICCOLO CATAFFO, 87, of East Brunswick died Dec. 29. Her husband, Vito Cataffo died in 1973. Surviving are two daughters, Albina Rosenthal and Donna Gross, both of East Brunswick; a brother, Louis Piccolo of Florida; a sister, Jean Ricciardi of Brooklyn; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. A Mass was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick. Interment was in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, New York.

BOCK JOON KEEM, 67, of East Brunswick died Dec. 29 at home. She was predeceased by her husband, Chang Oak. Surviving are a son, Kil Won Kang of East Brunswick; a daughter, Young Soon of Korea; and two sisters, Bock In and Bock Hung, both of Korea. Interment was in Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

THOMAS JUNG LEE, 9, of East Brunswick died Dec. 24 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Thomas was born in New York City. He was a student in the second grade at Lawrence Brook Elementary School, East Brunswick. Thomas is survived by his parents, Hyung Moo Lee and Young Euh Lee; a brother, Richard; and his grandmother, Bong Eup Lee of New York City. Burial was at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

EUGENE G. "BO-BO" NOWACK, 80, of Freehold, died Oct. 30 at his daughter’s home in Colts Neck. Mr. Nowack was a lifelong resident of Freehold Borough. He was a plant operator for the borough of Freehold before his retirement in 1985, and previously had been employed at the former A&M Karagheusian Rug Mill, Freehold. He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II, where he served aboard the Navy destroyer USS Rodman off the coast of Normandy during the D-Day invasion, and later aboard the USS Ludlow in the Pacific. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold. He was a member and past commander of American Legion Post No. 54, Freehold, and a life member of the Freehold First Aid and Emergency Squad, where he served as captain in 1960. Mr. Nowack was predeceased by his wife, Laura Lewis Nowack, in 1972. He is survived by a daughter, Linda Delaney of Colts Neck; and three grandchildren. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, followed by interment in the parish cemetery, Freehold Township. Memorial donations may be made to the Center for Hospice Care, Monmouth Medical Center, 300 Second Ave., Long Branch 07740.

MATTHEW D. BLUMBERG, 43, of Milford, Pa., whose parents live in Manalapan, died Oct. 30 at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, N.Y., of injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Oct. 16. Mr. Blumberg was born in Queens, N.Y. He was a partner of the law firm Levy, Stieh and Blumberg, Milford, Pa. He was a member of the Pike County Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Bar Association. He was admitted to practice law before the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania, the Supreme Court of New Jersey, the Pennsylvania Bar, the New Jersey Bar, the New York Bar, the Third Appellate Division of New York, U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey, and the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania. Mr. Blumberg is survived by his wife, Deborah Singer Blumberg; three daughters, Lizzy, Meredith and Rachel, all at home; his parents, Lee and Charlotte Blumberg of Manalapan; a brother and sister-in-law, Adam and Wing of Las Vegas; a sister and brother-in-law, Julie and Tim Sullivan of Freehold; his father- and mother-in-law, James and Pauline Singer of Wilkes-Barre, Pa.; and many nieces and nephews. Burial took place in Milford Cemetery, Dingman Township, Pa. A memorial service was held by the Pike County Bar Association in the main courtroom of the Pike County Courthouse. Memorial donations may be made to the Pike County Bar Association Scholarship Fund, c/o Anthony Waldron III, HC 6, Box 6030, Hawley, Pa. 18428.

SANDOR DRUCKER, 50, of Freehold Township died Oct. 30 at home. Born in Manhattan, N.Y., he had lived in Commack, Long Island, N.Y., before moving to Freehold six years ago. Mr. Drucker was a police officer for the Port Authority of New York for 21 years before retiring in 1995. He was a member of the Shomrim Society for the Port Authority Police, the National Police Defense Foundation and the National Rifle Association. He received several police commendations, including some for his rescue efforts at the 1993 World Trade Center bombing. Mr. Drucker was predeceased by his wife, Sharon (née Pianko) in 1997. He is survived by his father, Abraham Drucker of Freehold. Rabbi Sholom Nemtzov officiated at the funeral service, which was followed by interment in New Montefiore Cemetery, Pinelawn, N.Y.

HELEN LEVERS, 84, of Manalapan died Oct. 30 at Lankenau Hospital, Wynnewood, Pa. Born in Jersey City, she had been a resident of Manalapan for the past 40 years. Mrs. Levers was a laboratory technician for Merck Pharmaceutical and later worked as a salesperson for Steinbach department store in Manalapan. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church, Manalapan, and the Manalapan Senior Citizens Group. Mrs. Levers was predeceased by her husband, Robert, in 1983. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Isabel of Lakewood; and a daughter and son-in-law, Lenore Levers and Paul Zeman of Havertown, Pa. The funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church, followed by interment in St. Gertrude’s Cemetery, Colonia.

DORIS B. PERRINE, 89, of the Tennent section of Manalapan, died Nov. 5 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Freehold, she had been a resident of Tennent for the past 66 years. Mrs. Perrine was a 50-year member of Old Tennent Presbyterian Church, Tennent. She was predeceased by her husband, Duncan, in 1992. Surviving are a son, David D. of Shamong; two daughters and sons-in-law, Dawn E. and Ed Farrell of Brick, and Diane and Bob Cain of Millstone Township; and four grandchildren. The funeral service was held at Old Tennent Church, followed by interment in Old Tennent Cemetery, Tennent.

ROBERT T. SMITH, 83, of Manalapan died Oct. 30 at The Manor, Freehold Township. Born in Racine, Wis., he had lived in Elizabeth until moving to Manalapan in 1980. Mr. Smith was a fireman in the Irvington Fire Department for 25 years, retiring in 1977. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Irvington, and a member of the First Assembly of God Church, Freehold. Mr. Smith was predeceased by his wife, Shirley J., in 2001. Surviving are two sons, Robert of Inman, S.C., and Dennis of Point Pleasant; one daughter, Susan J. Allen of Manalapan; two brothers, Wallace of Libby, Mont., and James of Minneapolis; one sister, Arlene Morgese of Milwaukee; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Chapel services were held at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arnytown, with the Rev. Jeffrey Philhower officiating.

NORMA F. SILVERBLANK, 87, of Marlboro died Oct. 31 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she had lived in Jericho, N.Y., before moving to Marlboro 18 years ago. Mrs. Silverblank was a homemaker. She is survived by her husband, Irving; a son and daughter-in-law, Louis Silverblank and Judith Hill of Ambler, Pa.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Arnold Berman of Rehoboth, Mass., and Barbara and James Eisenstein of South Pasadena, Calif.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. The funeral service was officiated by Cantor Wayne Siet. Interment was in Mount Carmel Cemetery, Glendale, N.Y.
