GEORGE EDWARD McSHANE, 75, of Old Bridge died Aug. 30 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. He was a retired paper maker for Kimberly Clark. He is survived by his wife, Cecilia Radtke McShane; three sons and two daughters-in-law, Michael McShane of Old Bridge, Joseph and Geri McShane of Orange City, Fla., and Martin and Carol-Jean McShane of Jamesburg; two daughters and one son-in-law, Mary Ann and Peter Pappas of Keyport, and Theresa McShane of Jackson; two sisters, Barbara Martinetti of Berkeley Heights and Florence Rothenberger of Redland, Calif.; and 11 grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at the Immaculate Conception Church, Spotswood.

PAUL R. BECK, 67, of Freehold Township died Aug. 31 at Tisch Hospital, New York City. Born in Butler, Pa., he had been a resident of Freehold Township since 1957. He was a regional sales director for Braniff Airlines, N.Y., where he was employed for 25 years before his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 to 1957. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Roman Catholic Church, Freehold; a member of Freehold Council 1672 Knights of Columbus, and the Monsignor Kivelitz General Assembly Fourth Degree Knights of Columbus; and a member and past exalted ruler of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks No. 1454, all of Freehold. He also was a 20-year member of the Christian Brothers Academy Century Club, Lincroft. He is survived by his wife, Eileen (née DeVitis); a son, Christopher L. of Leesburg, Va.; a daughter, Jessica E. White, Corvallis, Ore.; three brothers, Robert L. of Freehold, Albert M. of Allenhurst, and George W. of Holmdel; and four grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Chapel, Freehold, followed by interment in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold Township. Memorial donations may be made to the N.J. American Parkinson’s Disease Association, 1250 Hylan Blvd., Suite 4B, Staten Island, NY 10305-1946.

JOE VAZ, 60, of the Belford section of Middletown, died Aug. 31 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Pardelhas, Portugal, he came to the United States in 1957 and lived in Newark prior to moving to Belford 35 years ago. He was a retired ramp service person for Transworld Airlines, Newark, for 25 years. He was predeceased by his parents, Jose Vaz and Palmira Paiva. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Madeline Matos Vaz of Belford; two daughters and one son-in-law, Lisa and Artie Johnsen of Middletown, and Lynn Vaz of Belford; his mother-in-law, Mary DeMatos of Middletown; his brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Idalina Vaz of Toms River; his sister and brother-in-law, Emily and Manuel Silva of Newark; two grandsons; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service was offered at King of Kings Lutheran Church, Middletown. Burial was at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O. Box 3704, Memphis TN 38173.

HOWARD F. MOORE, 75, of Middletown died Sept. 1 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Jersey City, he resided in Carteret, Pa., and Florida prior to moving to North Middletown eight years ago. He was a warehouseman for Acme Markets, Kearny, for 35 years, retiring in 1988. He served with the U.S. Navy during World War II. He was predeceased by his wife of 39 years, Arleyne S. Tomalenas Moore in 1991, and his brother, John Moore. He is survived by his son and daughter, Howard Moore Jr., and Karen B. White, both North Middletown; two sisters, Mabel Petry of Effort, Pa., and Shirley Massingill of Greensboro, N.C.; four grandsons; and five great-grandchildren. Entombment was at Woodbridge Memorial Park.

ALTA L. BLITZ STANLEY, 74, of Manchester died Sept. 4 at Manchester Manor, Lakehurst. Born in Arlington, she lived in Middletown for 38 years prior to moving to Manchester 10 years ago. She was a bank teller for United Counties Trust Co., Middletown, for five years, retiring several years ago. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Middletown. She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Anthony Stanley of Manchester; her daughter, Cheryl Speidel of Middletown; her brother Forrest Gray of Florida; nine grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. A funeral service was offered at Christ Episcopal Church of Middletown. Entombment was at Fair View Mausoleum, Middletown.

VINCENT A.G. BOYLE, 87, of Middletown died Sept. 5 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank. Born in Bayonne, he lived in Jersey City prior to moving to Middletown in 1957. He was a postal supervisor for the U.S. Postal Service, Middletown, for 25 years, retiring in 1977. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown, as well as a member of St. Mary’s Holy Name Society. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member, past commander, and past district 6 commander at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post No. 2179, Port Monmouth section of Middletown. He was also a member of the Military Order of the Cootie, and state surgeon for the Military Order of the Cootie; member of American Legion Post No. 515, Leonardo section of Middletown; and a 4th degree knight at Vince Lombardi Council Knights of Columbus the past 57 years. He was also a co-founder and 38-year member of Middletown Helps Its Own. He was predeceased by his wife, Irene Hirchak Boyle in 1987. He is survived by two daughters, Dorothy Vuono of Atlantic Highlands, and Margaret Mary Gallagher of Lincolnville, Maine; his brother James Boyle of Avon; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth . Burial was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to Middletown Helps Its Own, P.O. Box 100, Port Monmouth 07758.

DIANE A. GIORDANO, 49, of Hazlet died Sept. 22 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived there until moving to Hazlet in 1986. She was a legal secretary at Lynch-Martin, Shrewsbury, the past four years. She was a communicant of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. She is survived by three sons, Michael E. Giordano, Richard T. Giordano, and Joseph D. Giordano, all Hazlet; her brother and sister-in-law, Joseph and Debbie Puccio of Hazlet; her mother, Edith Caruso Puccio of Hazlet; her father, Joseph Puccio of Hazlet; and her niece and nephew. A funeral gathering will be Sept. 25 at 8:30 a.m. at John F. Pfleger Funeral Home, Middletown. A funeral liturgy will follow at 9:30 a.m. at Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Union Beach. Burial will be at St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Keyport.

JEAN A. MARTZ STOCKDALE, 51, of Deal died Sept. 10 at home. Born in Helfenstein, Pa., she lived in Eatontown, Tinton Falls and Neptune prior to moving to Deal recently. She was a homemaker. She was predeceased by her parents, Donald H. and Edna Weikel Martz. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, Thomas P. Stockdale of Deal; three sons, Jason M. Stockdale of Philadelphia, Pa., Sean C. Stockdale of Aberdeen, and Kyle M. Stockdale of Glassboro; her daughter, Courtney M. Stockdale of Deal; three brothers, Donald H. Martz, David H. Martz, and Kevin Martz; and two sisters, Donna Mae Younghanz, and Desiree Markman. Interment was at Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Cemetery, Arneytown.

KATHERINE E. KULCSAR, 45, of Middletown died Sept. 13 at Riverview Medical Center, Red Bank, from complications from cancer. She was born in South Amboy. She was a member of Calvary Chapel Four Winds, Red Bank, and former member of Calvary Chapel, Wichita, Kan. Her activities included hiking, skiing, horseback riding, bicycling, and time with her family and friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Steven Kulcsar and Dorothea Amend Kulcsar Kreismer. She is survived by her son, Peter R. Jakiemchek; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael J. and Adrienne Kulcsar, and David S. and Annelie Kulcsar; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Karen A. Chirichello, Susan and Richard Gozick, and Laura T. and Roger Hill; her cousin and husband, with whom she resided, Patricia and Andrew Walsh; her great aunt, Dorothy Makowka; her godfather and his wife; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial donations may be made to the Cancer Concern Center, 1101 Richmond Ave., Suite 101, Point Pleasant 08742.

AGNES ANNARELLA, 96, of the Locust section of Middletown, died Sept. 15 at home. Born in Latrobe, Pa., she resided in Little Silver prior to moving to Locust in 1962. She was the retired founder of Shore Point Distributing Co., Freehold, which she founded in 1933. She was a member of St. Anthony Of Padua Roman Catholic Church, Red Bank, as well as its St. Ann’s Society. She was predeceased by her husband, James Annarella Sr. She is survived by two sons, R. James Annarella of Red Bank, and Vincent J. Annarella of Locust; her brother and sister; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Memorial donations may be made to St. Anthony Of Padua Roman Catholic Church, 121 Bridge Ave., Red Bank 07701.
