JOSEPH MANFRE, 85, of Sayreville died Dec. 27 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Newark, he had resided in Sayreville for the past 50 years. Before his retirement in 1981, he was employed as a machine operator with L.A. Dreyfus in Plainfield for 25 years. He was a U.S. Army Aircorps veteran of World War II. He was predeceased by his wife Frances Sardina. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Rosario "Ross" and Loretta Manfre of Old Bridge and Peter and Mary Manfre of Duluth, Ga.; one daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Bob Delikat of Sayreville; two brothers, Sal Manfre of Iselin and Pat Manfre of Toms River; and eight grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at Our Lady of Victories Roman Catholic Church in Sayreville. Cremation was private.

JENNIE V. WROBEL, 93, of Sayreville died Dec. 22 at Raritan Bay Medical Center, Perth Amboy. Born in Poland, she had resided in Sayreville for more than 65 years. Before her retirement, she was employed as a seamstress with Brodsky & Sons Clothing Manufacturing, South River, for many years. She was predeceased by her husband, Louis, in 1956; and by her brothers, Carl and Joseph Januszkiewicz. Surviving are her sons, Edward Wrobel of Cherry Hill and George Wrobel of Manalapan; and five grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Stanislaus Roman Catholic Church, Sayreville. Cremation was private.

JULIA MEDNICK, 89, of Manalapan died Dec. 25 at home. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived there most of her life before moving to Manalapan 26 years ago. Mrs. Mednick was a member of the Covered Bridge Association and the Covered Bridge Chapters of Hadassah, Deborah Hospital Foundation, and B’nai B’rith. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry Mednick; a daughter, Rochelle Gilbert; and a brother, Edward Fagan. Mrs. Mednick is survived by a son, Barry Mednick of Old Bridge; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

STEVEN F. KIRSTEUER, 34, of Jacksonville, Fla. died Dec. 20 at home. Born in New Brunswick, he lived in Spotswood before entering the U.S. Navy. Mr. Kirsteuer had been serving as a hospital corpsman at the Naval Hospital, Jacksonville, since 1999. Prior to that, he had served on the USS Royal and the USS Chosin, both stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Mr. Kirsteuer is survived by his parents, John and Helen Kirsteuer of Spotswood; a sister, Eva Jawidzik of Jamesburg; and a brother, John, of Florida. Interment was at the Beverly National Cemetery, Beverly.

JENNIFER HONG LOOK, 20, of Old Bridge died Dec. 24 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Englewood, she was a lifelong resident of Old Bridge. A graduate of Old Bridge High School west campus, Ms. Look was an honor student at The College of New Jersey, Ewing. Surviving are her parents, Jack and Judy Look of Old Bridge; a brother, Justin, and a sister, Jamie, both at home; her paternal grandmother, Haywon Look; her maternal grandparents, Hom L. and Yim Suey Kee; her boyfriend, Lawrence Ho; and several cousins. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Hawthorne, N.Y. Memorial donations may be made to the oncology unit at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.

ROSE GIORDANO BRAVO, 80, died Dec. 25 at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. She was born in Newark and was retired from the East Brunswick Police Department, where she was employed as a crossing guard and police matron. Prior to that, she was employed by Leadell Products, Milltown. She is survived by two daughters, Joanne Bravo of East Brunswick and Rose Marie Watkins of Old Bridge; two brothers, Dominick Giordano of Toms River and Bart Giordano of Hillside; a sister, Nancy Giordano of Newark; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Bartholomew’s Church, East Brunswick, followed by interment at Chestnut Hill Cemetery, East Brunswick.

ELAINE RIEFF OSWALD, 56, of South River died Dec. 25 at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in Staten Island, N.Y., she had been a resident of South River since 1967. Mrs. Oswald was employed for 14 years at the Peer Review Organization of New Jersey, East Brunswick. She is survived by her husband, Robert Oswald; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Michael and Melissa Oswald of Plainsboro, and David Oswald of Franklin Township; two daughters and a son-in-law, Pamela Yuhas of South River, and Lisa and Greg Fields of Nashville, Tenn.; her mother, Virginia Rieff of Staten Island; and two grandchildren. Burial was at Washington Monumental Cemetery, South River.

ANNA E. SAULNIER SHEPPARD, 62, of Old Bridge died Dec. 25 at the Raritan Bay Medical Center, Old Bridge. She was born in the Bronx, N.Y. Mrs. Sheppard was predeceased by a brother, Gardie Joseph Saulnier. She is survived by her husband, Joseph M. Sheppard; her mother, Rita Lang of Old Bridge; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Joseph M. Sheppard Jr. of Old Bridge, Thomas Sheppard of North Brunswick, Gregory Sheppard of Old Bridge, and Robert G. and Colby Sheppard of Westfield; three daughters and sons-in-law, Audrey A. and Larry Pedana of Iselin, Nancy Jean and Carl Venetz of Elmwood Park, and Monique and Angelo La Tona of Freehold; a brother, James Saulnier of South Carolina; and seven grandchildren. Memorial donations may be sent to the American Diabetes Association, 19 Schoolhouse Road, Somerset 08873.

VICTOR H. WEEKS, 54, of South Amboy died Nov. 28 in Columbia Greene Memorial Hospital, Hudson, N.Y. His son, Anthony J. "Tony" Weeks, died in 1999. Surviving are his wife, Marie Lugo Weeks; two sons, Victor H. Weeks of South Amboy and Jason Weeks of Cairo, N.Y.; his mother, Carmella Golia Weeks of South Amboy; two sisters, Susan McGrath and Palmer Hillard, both of Moonachie; and four grandchildren. Services were held at Gundrum Service Home for Funerals, South Amboy. Interment was in Madonna Cemetery, Fort Lee. Memorial contributions may be made to the Tony Weeks Memorial Scholarship Program, c/o Mary Lou DeBlis, South Amboy Senior Center, 109 Stevens Ave., South Amboy, NJ 08879.

PATRICIA A. FEENEY ZINKOSKI, 74, of Old Bridge died Nov. 27 in Carriage House Manor, Sayreville. Prior to her retirement in 1990, she was employed for five years as a manager at The Rag Shop, Sayreville. Surviving are her husband, Leo; three sons, Charles Ross of Florida and Bruce and Craig, both of Jackson; two daughters, Patricia Cerone of the Toms River section of Dover and Tammy Hart of Old Bridge; 13 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Services were held at Michael Hegarty Funeral Home, Old Bridge. Interment was in Forest Green Park Cemetery, Morganville section of Marlboro.
