FRED ZAIN, 70, of Manalapan died March 18 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. He was born in New York City, and lived there before moving to Manalapan 35 years ago. He was a retired restaurateur. Surviving are his wife, Sandy Ali Zain; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Pam Zain, Grand Junction, Colo., and Robert Zain, New York City; and two grandsons. Interment was in Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, Morganville. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702 or the American Heart Association, 2550 Route 1, North Brunswick 08902.

SEAN M. ROCKAFELLOW, 20, of Middletown, died March 22 in Middletown. Born in Red Bank, he was a lifelong resident of Middletown. Mr. Rockafellow was a clerk at Danny’s Pizza II, Middletown. He was a communicant of Calvary Chapel Four Winds, Red Bank. He was a graduate of St. Rose High School, Belmar, where he also played on the basketball team. He was a member of the YMCA, Red Bank. Mr. Rockafellow is survived by his father, Donald Rockafellow of Middletown; his mother, Joanne Guarino Rockafellow of Middletown; and his maternal grandmother, Josephine Guarino of Freehold. A funeral service will be held March 26 at 10 a.m. at King of Kings Lutheran Church, Middletown. Burial will follow at Bay View Cemetery, Leonardo section of Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to Calvary Chapel Four Winds, Bergen Place, Red Bank 07701.

SUSAN MITCHELL-DUNN, 53, of Freehold died March 20 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. She was born in Teaneck and lived in Brick before moving to Freehold 15 years ago. She was an assistant to the director of High Point School in Morganville. She was a graduate of Bogata High School, attended Trenton State College, Ewing, and was active in dance, teaching and competitions at the Contemporary Institute in Howell. She was predeceased by her husband, Dennis, in 1991. Surviving are a daughter, Victoria Mitchell-Dunn, Freehold; her mother, Isabell Mitchell, Manchester; and a sister, Elizabeth Munisoglu, California. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 801 Broad St., Shrewsbury 07702; or CPC Behavioral Healthcare, c/o High Point School, 1 High Point Center Way, Morganville, 07751.

THOMAS RICHARD GIACOLONE JR., newborn son of Lisamarie Sclanlon and Thomas Giacalone of Manalapan, died March 21 at Monmouth Medical Center, Long Branch. He is survived by his parents and a large family. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Thomas More Church, Manalapan. Interment was private.

RAMON A. RIVERA, 48, of Monroe, formerly of Manalapan, died March 17 in Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. He was a longtime member of the Manalapan-Englishtown First Aid Squad. Surviving are his wife, Amy; his mother, Altagracia of the Bronx, N.Y.; two sons, Jason Rivera of St. Petersburg, Fla., and Stephen Rivera of Monroe; two daughters, Christine Rivera of California and Tracy Rivera of Monroe; and three grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Thomas Church, Manalapan. Entombment was in St. Gabriel’s Cemetery, Marlboro.

PATRICIA ELIZABETH O’CONNOR, 55, of Manalapan died March 21 at Jersey Shore Medical Center, Neptune. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., she lived in Manalapan for more than 30 years. She was a communicant of St. Thomas More Roman Catholic Church in Manalapan, a member of the Yorktowne Social Club of Manalapan, and formerly active in the Manalapan Soccer Club. She was a bookkeeper for Holiday Electric in Manalapan for six years. She is survived by her husband, Timothy Patrick; three daughters, Kelly O’Connor of Freehold, Patricia Elizabeth O’Connor of Anaheim, Calif., and Shannon Rold of Manalapan; and a sister, Mary Moser of Glenn Falls, N.Y. A funeral liturgy was celebrated at St. Thomas More Church.

HELEN VECCHIONE, 88, of Howell died March 21 at CentraState Medical Center, Freehold Township. Born in Newark, she lived in Jackson before moving to Howell in 1987. She was a communicant of St. Robert Bellarmine Roman Catholic Church, Freehold Township. She was predeceased by her husband, Pat, in 1987, and a daughter, Helen M. Odgers, in 2001. Surviving are a son, Joseph A. Vecchione, Belleville; two daughters, Theresa Renna of Millstone, and Josephine M. Moss of Freehold Township; 13 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; and two great great grandchildren. A funeral liturgy was held at St. Robert Bellarmine Church, followed by interment in St. Rose of Lima Cemetery, Freehold.

ANGELINA MANGARELLA SACCA, 76, of Milltown died March 17 at St. Peter’s University Hospital, New Brunswick. Born in New Brunswick, she resided in Milltown the past 48 years. She was predeceased by her husband, Samuel J. Sacca Sr. in 1998. She is survived by four sons, Anthony and Jerry Sacca, both of Toms River, Sam Sacca Jr. of Howell, and John Sacca of Hammonton; two brothers, Joseph and John Mangarella, both of New Brunswick; and three grandchildren. Entombment was at Holy Cross Burial park, South Brunswick.

ROBERT BRUSCA, 69, of Middletown died Feb. 16 at home. He was born in Brooklyn, N.Y. He was a station foreman at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, Jersey City, for 40 years, retiring in 1997. He was a communicant of St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth section of Middletown. He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was predeceased by his mother, Anna Fitzgerald Brusca; and a brother, Richard Brusca. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Margaret Driscoll Brusca of Middletown; five daughters and four sons-in-law, Catherine and Keith Carroll, and Patricia and Randy Paulikens, all of Manalapan, Peggy and Kevin McCormack, and Grace Brusca, all of Middletown; and Jennifer Brusca of Lake Hopatcong; a son, Robert Brusca of Middletown; his father, Salvatore Brusca of West Palm Beach, Fla.; two brothers, Raymond Brusca of Somers Point, N.Y., and Vincent Brusca of St. Louis, Mo.; a sister, Dolores Domnisch of Valley Stream, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral liturgy was offered at St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church, New Monmouth. Entombment was at Holmdel Cemetery.

BIAGIO PARISI, 86, of Keyport died Feb. 17 at Victoria Health Care, Matawan. Born in Brooklyn, N.Y., he resided in Freehold and Matawan prior to moving to Keyport several years ago. He was a maintenance worker for the Garden State Parkway, retiring in 1979. He was a communicant of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. He served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a life member of both the Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Matawan, and Matawan First Aid. He was predeceased by his first wife, Assunta Parisi; his second wife, Vera Parisi; and a brother, Emelio Parisi. He is survived by two brothers, Gaetano Parisi and James Parisi, both of Matawan; a sister, Marie Martin of Keyport; and one niece and nephew. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, Keyport. Interment was at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Middletown.
