Walter Van Luvanee, Jr.

HOPEWELL, NJ - Walter "Jim" Van Luvanee, Jr., age 92 years, of Hopewell, NJ, formerly of Stockton, NJ, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Doylestown, PA, December 8, 1919, he was the son of the late Walter and Eleanor Van Luvanee, Sr.

He was formerly a truck driver for Tarantola Trucking, Flemington, NJ.

He was an avid hunter and fisherman.

He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.

He was pre-deceased by his wife, Jennie Tymerszym Van Luvanee in 1983, and also by a sister, Betty Smith. Surviving are a daughter, Barbara Holcombe of Ringoes, NJ; a son, Walter Van Luvanee III of Hopewell, NJ; two brothers, Herbert Van Luvanee of New York State and Robert Case of Ringoes; two sisters, Peggy Fisher and Janet Gonshar both of Annandale, NJ; a granddaughter, Susan Lyn Pena; and two great-grandchildren: Zachary and Shelby Pena.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hopewell Rescue Squad, 4 Columbia Avenue, Hopewell, NJ 08525, or to the charity of one's choice.

Teresa Lynn Fink

GLEN GARDNER, NJ - Teresa Lynn Fink, age 54 years, of Glen Gardner, NJ, died on Thursday, April 12, 2012, at her residence.

Born in Baltimore, MD, April 11, 1958, she was the daughter of Charles J. and Rosemarie Uhlik Fink of Annandale, NJ.

She was formerly a Registered Nurse at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.

Surviving, in addition to her parents, are two daughters, Jennifer Marie Muller and her husband, George, of Jacksonville, FL and Rebecca Rose Iwaniszyn of High Bridge, NJ; two sons, Justin Philip Iwaniszyn and Bryan Joseph Iwaniszyn, both of Washington, NJ; and a granddaughter, Skylar Lynn Crampton.

A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 30, 2012 at 10:30 AM in St. Ann's Church, Hampton, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.

Joyce G. White, M.D.

EAST AMWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ - Joyce C. White, M.D., age 90 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Monday, April 9, 2012 in the Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.

Born in Winnipeg, Canada, January 13, 1922, daughter of the late Leslie R. and Winifred Piper Goodfellow, she had resided in East Amwell Township since 1968, having formerly lived in Stamford, CT.

Dr. White received her B.S. in Biology in 1941 from the University of Chicago then continued on at the University to receive her Medical Degree. She was a Medical Librarian at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ for eleven years, retiring in 1990.

A lover of all animals, especially of cats, Dr. White was a voracious reader and greatly enjoyed classical music.

Her husband, Thomas Murray White, died in 2003. She is survived by her half-brother, Ross Goodfellow of Toledo, OH and several close friends.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ preceded by visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Pleasant Ridge Cemetery, East Amwell Township, NJ.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hunterdon Humane Animal Shelter, 576 Stamets Road, Milford, NJ 08848.

Judith F. Schmidt

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Judith F. Schmidt, age 69 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, April 25, 2012, at her residence.

Born in New York City, NY, January 27, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Edith Becker Rowe.

She had resided in Raritan Township, NJ since 1970. She was a retired self-employed beautician.

Surviving are three daughters, Lee Ann Klein of North Canton, OH, Ronnie Lynn Schmidt of Hamilton, NJ, and Brenda Krzyzkowski of Hellertown, PA; a granddaughter, Megan Fish, of North Canton, OH; a sister, Joan Frankson of Denver, NC; a brother, Robert Rowe of Ringoes, NJ; and her companion of thirty-three years, Tom Guethe of Raritan Township, NJ.

Funeral arrangements will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Martin John Siecke

DELAWARE TOWNSHIP, NJ - Martin Siecke, age 70 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Sunday, April 22, 2012, in Arbor Glen, Bridgewater, NJ.

Born in New York City, NY, June 1, 1941, he was the son of the late Martin W. and Anna Jachens Siecke.

He was a retired Chemical Engineer with National Starch in Bridgewater, NJ. He was a Professional Engineer and a Certified Safety Professional.

Mr. Siecke was a two-time Democratic nominee for Hunterdon County Freeholder and was active in Delaware Township politics, serving on the Board of Adjustment and the Municipal Utilities Board. He was a member of the League of Women Voters and was active in the United Way.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Windsor Siecke; two sons and daughters-in-law, Sumner W. and Joanne Siecke of Delaware Township, NJ, and Warren W. and Caroline Siecke of Exeter, NH; a brother, Albert Siecke, of Lanoka Harbor, NJ; a sister, Marianne Brower, of Toms River, NJ; and five grandchildren: Patricia Toter, Nicole Noble, Sumner R. Siecke, India Siecke, and Celeste Siecke.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2012 at 11:30 AM in Unity Spiritual Center, Bellwood Avenue, Pattenburg, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, May 2, 2012 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1 Union Street, #301, Robbinsville, NJ 08691-4183, or to the United Way of Hunterdon County, 4 Walter Foran Boulevard, Suite 401, Flemington, NJ 08822.

Bryan Joseph Venn

HIGH BRIDGE, NJ - Bryan Joseph Venn, age 33 years, of High Bridge, NJ, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2012.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the South Ridge Community Church, 7 Pittstown Road, Clinton, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ, preceded by visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Church. Interment will follow in Union Cemetery, Leigh Street, Clinton, NJ.

Lambert Charles Rousseau, Sr.

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, NJ - Lambert Charles Rousseau, Sr., age 94 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Saturday, April 7, 2012 in the Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.

Born in New York City, NY, January 21, 1918, son of the late Frank and Mary Nelson Rousseau, he had resided in Clinton Township since 2011, having formerly lived in Flemington, NJ.

A United States Army veteran of World War II, he was a retired self-employed Nurseryman, owning Rousseau's Nursery of Wyckoff, NJ.

His wife, Rose McMahon Rousseau, died in 2004.

Among his survivors are a daughter, Ellen Rousseau of Frenchtown, NJ; and two sons, Frank C. Rousseau of Scottsdale, AZ and Lambert C. Rousseau, Jr. of Holly Hill, FL.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Avenue, Mahwah, NJ 07430. Visitation will be Tuesday from 9:00-10:30 a.m. in the Funeral Home.
