Erna E. Hoffmann

WARMINSTER, PA - Erna E. Hoffmann, age 85 years, of Warminster, PA, died on Monday, June 4, 2012 at her residence. Born in Flensburg, Germany, February 4, 1927, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Marie Assmusen Georgi.

She was a former nurses aide and had resided in Bridgewater, NJ.

Surviving are her husband of sixty years, Robert Hoffmann; three daughters, Ami Sylvester of Wall, NJ, Christina Salerno, and her husband, Dr. Felix Salerno, of Flemington, NJ, and Ingrid Hoffmann of Matawan, NJ; and one grandson, Michael Sylvester.

Funeral arrangements and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Jean M. Parker

RARITAN TOWNSHIP, NJ - Jean M. Parker, age 89 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, June 4, 2012, at her residence.

Born in Elizabeth, NJ, September 1, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Hugh F. and Salome Weimar McCutcheon.

She was a 1939 graduate of Flemington High School and a graduate of Maryville College.

She worked with her husband for many years at The Parker Agency, Flemington, NJ.

Her husband, George R. Parker, Jr. died in 1995, a son, George R. Parker III died in 2007. She was also pre-deceased by a brother, Hugh, and a sister, Barbara.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Richard H. and Lisa Parker of Granville, OH; her grandchildren; Morgan, Whitney, Gretchen, and Kimberly; her great-grandchildren: Elliott, Patrick, James, Parker, Sawyer, and Olivia; a brother, Donald McCutcheon; a sister, Carol Bayless; and a sister-in-law, Carol McCutcheon.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.

Memorial contributions, in lieu of flowers, may be made to the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822, or to the National Parkinson Foundation, Inc., 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue / Bob Hope Road, Miami, Florida 33136-1494.

Terry M. Schultz

PITTSTOWN, NJ - Terry M. Schultz, age 47 years, of Pittstown, NJ, died on Friday, June 8, 2012 at his home.

Born in Raritan Township, NJ, November 11, 1964, son of Chester Schultz, Sr. of Pittstown, NJ and the late Thora Tange Schultz, he had resided in the Pittstown area all his life.

A self-employed electrical contractor, he was a 1982 graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School. Mr. Schultz was active in a voluntary capacity with the Quakertown Fire Co., Quakertown, NJ and was a member of the Hunterdon County Electrical Contractors Association.

Terry was a wonderful father, husband and friend. In his spare time Terry enjoyed cooking for community events and coaching NHHS wrestling club. Terry was a spontaneous fun loving entertainer, often having friends and family at his home for casual dinners and bonfires. Everyone who knew Terry fell in love with his kind heart, gentle spirit, and humor.

Through the years Terry became involved in the Franklin Township School Board and volunteered countless hours doing electrical work to keep the project under cost and on time. Terry also ran many of the school events making them what they are today. During the four years as a member of the Quakertown Fire Company, Terry volunteered many hours barbequing and cooking at events to raise funds that benefitted the community. A recent shining moment was winning the Clinton Chili Cook-Off this past May. Cooking and nurturing people were a part of his life.

Terry was a life-long resident of Franklin Township, and considered it as his home and everyone in it his extended family. Terry will be greatly missed by family, friends and the community he served long and well.

Surviving, in addition to his father, are his wife of eighteen years, Beth Dowlen Schultz; two daughters and a son, Tabby and Rachel Schultz and Kyle Orion Schultz, all at home; a sister, Brenda Sozanski of Pittstown, NJ; and three brothers, Chester Schultz, Jr. of Jutland, NJ, Denny Schultz, of Wellsboro, PA and James Schultz of Ewing, NJ.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ followed by interment in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Quakertown Fire Co., P.O. Box, 34, Pittstown, NJ 08867.

Iris Huffman Naylor

STOCKTON, NJ - Iris Huffman Naylor, age 85 years, of Stockton, NJ died on Monday, May 14, 2012 at her home.

Born in Stockton, NJ, April 23, 1927, daughter of the late Jehu and Meta Sharp Huffman, she had resided in the Stockton area all her life.

She was a columnist for the Princeton Packet and the Lambertville Beacon where her column was "Footprints of the Valley". She was also formerly employed at Stockton Borough Hall; William Weimer Custom Draperies and also the NJ Pharmacy Board. She was the author of two books: Sockton, NJ: Three Hundred Years of History and the Huffmans of Rosemont. She was the Stockton Town Historian, deacon of the Stockton Presbyterian Church, a former Girl Scout leader, member of the Ladies Auxiliary of tghe Stockton Fire Co. and was also a member of the Stockton Bicentennial Committee.

Her husband, Richard Naylor, died in 1992. Surviving are two daughters, Patricia L. Naylor, of Madison, NJ, and Cynthia Naylor of Stockton, NJ; two granddaughters, Sara Ralitsa Naylor and Elizabeth Ivanka Naylor, both of Madison, NJ, and two nieces, April Huffman and Laurie Swett, both of Trevose, PA.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 19, 2012, at 2:00PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ followed by interment in Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ. Calling hours will be Saturday 12:30-2:00PM at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Stockton Fire Company, PO Box 47, Stockton, NJ 08559.

Guy Landstrom

FLEMINGTON, NJ - Guy Landstrom, age 58 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Carteret, NJ, May 4, 1954, he was the son of the late Norman and Florence Landstrom.

Guy was known for his anthropological discoveries. He loved to read, and was a movie maven. He was the Grateful Dead well over sixty times. He believed in the working man and justice.

He touched the lives of all of those he met. He was a passionate man who loved deeply and found that love reciprocated wherever he went.

Peace and love. Strength and honor. We will miss you.

Surviving are his two children, David and Sharon Landstrom; his brother, Wilbert, of Bethlehem, PA; and his two loyal dogs: Jack Straw and General Buck.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.

Lynn Edward Quick

CHARLOTTE, NC - Lynn Edward Quick, “Quickie” passed away peacefully on May 17, 2012, in Charlotte, NC, after a long period of physical decline.

He was born in Abington, Montgomery County, PA, and lived most of his life in NJ. His recent years were spent in NC near family. He will be remembered as being passionate and working hard at whatever he put his hands to and having an entrepreneurial spirit.

He was a graduate of Lincoln School of Welding in Cleveland, OH and in his early years, was well known as highly skilled welder. Later he worked as a master tool & die maker at Princeton University’s Plasma Physics Laboratory. He was also a Volunteer Fireman at Amwell Valley Fire Company in Ringoes, NJ, and a member of the National Rifle Association.

His heart was to care deeply for others; he enjoyed spending time with and praying with people any time of the day. He had a keen sense of knowing when someone needed prayer.

He is survived by his son, Jim Quick & wife Melody; daughter Amy Mahle and husband Scott; grandchildren Jeremy Mahle and Emily Mahle, all of Concord NC; and brother Wayne Quick of Lancaster Co., PA.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 1:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, NJ. There are no calling hours.
