Debra Mae Fonseca

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - Debra Mae Fonseca, 59, of Lawrenceville passed away Friday May 26th at home. Born in Summit, NJ, she was a self-employed chiropractor in Lawrenceville retiring two years ago. Formerly she was a chiropractor in Beverly Hills, CA. She was a member of First Assembly of God in Pennington.

Daughter of the late Robert Cronauer, she is survived by her mother, Marie DeVece and her husband Carmen of Smithville, NJ, her husband Perry Fonseca, her daughter Faith Fonseca, her sister Gale Ricany and her husband John of Monmouth Junction, NJ, a nephew Daniel Ricany.

Funeral services will be held Thursday June 1st 12:30 p.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington. The viewing will be held Thursday 10:30 a.m. until time of service. Burial will follow in Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.

Edward Carl Thompson

Pennington - Edward C. Thompson, 88, of Pennington passed away Tuesday May 23rd at Brandywine Assisted Living. Born in Jersey City, NJ, he retired from ADT where he was a Commercial Fire Inspector. Edward was a member of the IBEW Union #2 for over 60 years. He was a Navy veteran serving during the Korean War where he was Seaman First Class.

Son of the late Trygve A. Thompson and Clara Schultz Thompson, he is survived by his wife Teresa Marie Halleran Thompson, his son and daughter-in-law, Mark and Sue Thompson of Pennington, 2 daughters, Karen Anderson of Charlotte, NC and Barbara Thompson of Pinehurst, NC, 4 grandchildren, Christina Thompson, Mark Thompson II., Kevin Thompson and Casey Anderson.

Graveside services were held Thursday May 25th 11:00 a.m. at Whiting Memorial Park Mausoleum, 600 County Road 530, Manchester Twp., NJ 08759. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are by the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, NJ.

Evan L Kerr

TITUSVILLE - Evan L. Kerr, 28, of Titusville passed away Tuesday June 6th. Evan grew up in Hopewell Township and graduated from Hopewell Valley Central High School. Her love of the beach took her to Hawaii to join her older sister where she attended college. While there, she rescued a funny looking little dog and named him Tommy. He was her best friend and together they went everywhere. As a young girl, Evan had a passion for horses and was a champion in many shows on her pony, Rocky. They even qualified to compete in the Nationals. She loved growing up on her family’s farm and enjoyed all the animals, horse-back riding with her sisters, bon fires with friends down by the pond and hunting with her father and brother. Evan will be in our hearts and memories forever.

She is survived by her daughter Mackenzie, her mother, Arleen Griscavage Kerr, her father Samuel K. Kerr III and his wife Elisabeth Goeke Kerr, her paternal grandmother, Agnes Perehinys Kerr, her maternal grandparents, Bartley and Elizabeth Griscavage and her sisters and brothers; Ashley Kerr, Sammy Kerr, William Kerr, Olivia Krause, Christopher Krause. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, her horse Rocky, her dog Tommy and so many dear friends.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 12th at 10:00 a.m. at St. George RC Church, 1370 River Road in Titusville. Burial will follow at Ewing Church Cemetery. The viewing will be held on Sunday, June 11th from 4-7 p.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road in Pennington.

Josephine LaCross

PENNINGTON - Josephine LaCross, 80, of Pennington passed away Monday May 22nd at Capital Health Medical at Hopewell. Born in Lawrenceville, she was a life-long area resident. She worked most of her life as a nurse at Helene Fuld Hospital and retired as a school nurse at the Trenton School System. She was a member of St. James RC Church in Pennington and the Hopewell Columbiets.

Daughter of the late Joseph and Frances Sokolowski Patykula; she is survived by her husband Octavius LaCross, 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, David and Deborah LaCross of Jackson, NJ, Brian LaCross of Pennington, 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Laura LaCross of Lawrenceville, Pamela and William Holland of CT, grandchildren, Devin LaCross, Dyana LaCross, Brian LaCross, Christopher, Nicholas and Madison Holland.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. on Saturday May 27th at St. James RC Church, 115 East Delaware Ave., Pennington. Burial will follow in St. Hedwig’s Cemetery, Hamilton. The viewing will be Friday 6-8 p.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington.

Richard Joseph Hartz

PENNINGTON - Richard Joseph Hartz, 92, of Pennington went to be with the Lord on May 22, 2017. Born in Trenton, he was a life-long area resident. He owned and operated multiple service stations in Mercer and Hunterdon Counties for over 30 years. During the war he served in the Merchant Marines followed by service in the US Army and Army Reserves. After retirement he enjoyed driving a school bus for Hopewell Valley Regional School District. Richard was a charter member of Shadyrest Bible Church in Chesterfield, NJ and in later years he attended the Orthodox Presbyterian Church in Ringoes, NJ. He was an avid car and motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding his cycle well into his seventies.

Son of the late Warren F. Hartz, Sr. and Theresa Schaefer Hartz; brother of the late Warren F. Hartz, Jr., Theresa K. Hartz and Eleanor S. Landes; he is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Joan Rothamel Hartz; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald Joseph and Betsy Hartz of Apex, NC; a daughter, Karen Hartz Damiano of Hamilton, NJ; a brother, Calvin N. Hartz and wife Bess of Whiting, NJ; sister-in-law, Grace Hartz of Lawrenceville, NJ; grandchildren Amanda and Gary Fletcher, Victoria and Eric Jones, Matthew Damiano and Robert Hartz; a son-in-law, Vincent Damiano; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Saturday May 27, 2017 11:00 a.m. at the Wilson-Apple Funeral Home, 2560 Pennington Road, Pennington, with Pastor Adrian Pina officiating. Burial will follow in the Ewing Church Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Corbett, Oliver F., age 80, a retired manager for American Aluminum Casting Co., Irvington, NJ, died Tuesday, January 23, 2007 at Oakland Care Center in Oakland, NJ. He was a member of the Pompton Reformed Church, and the VFW Post 2906, Pompton Lakes, NJ. Mr. Corbett was a resident of Pompton Lakes since 1952. He is survived by two sons, Dennis of Wayne, NJ and Michael of Vernon, NJ; two daughters, Doreen Smith and Lynn O'Brien both of Wayne, NJ; eight grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife, Marilyn (Hanson) Corbett (2006). He was the son of Oliver and Natalia (Evans) Corbett. He served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War attaining the rank of 2nd class Gunners Mate. Funeral services will be held Friday, January 26, 2007 at 11:00 AM at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Rev. Tom Bartha of Pompton Reformed Church will be officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday (1/25) from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Interment Pompton Reformed Church Cemetery, Pompton Lakes.

Kane, Daniel H., age 57, beloved husband of Patricia (Hurley) of West Milford, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2009, with his loving family by his side. Born in Franklin, NJ to Howard (d.1986) and Alfreda (Beardslee), he was a lifelong resident of West Milford. Graduating from Frostburg State University with his B.S., he later attained his Masters in the Art of Teaching from Marygrove College. Retiring in 2008, Danny was a Physical Education and Health Teacher at Macopin Middle School, in West Milford for 35 years, where he also coached baseball, soccer and wrestling. He was president of the Greater Morris County Coaches Association, and a founding father of West Milford Township Junior Wrestling program. Danny was very instrumental in the Pinecliff Lake Community Club where he was a counselor, sports trustee and co-president of the Men’s Club. He also enjoyed his reign as President of the Notre Dame Club; West Milford Chapter. He is survived by a son Daniel P.; two daughters, Tricia L. and Kathleen S. of West Milford; a brother Edward of Jefferson; two sisters, Jeanette Belcastro of Stockholm and Ellen Chesney of Kearny. He was loved by all of his nieces, nephews and in-laws. Funeral Liturgy, Tuesday 10:30AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt where Danny was an active member. Terrulli, Louis, 82, husband of Georgette (Lauffer), passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018. Born in Paterson, Mr. Terrulli resided in Kinnelon for 30 years coming from Butler. He had served in the US ARMY, was in active duty and completed his term in 1962 and he was the co-owner of Statewide Produce, 4 Dunde Ave., Paterson. He had also been a member of St. Anthony’s Church in Butler, Along with his wife, he is survived by two sons, Louis G. of West Long Branch and Michael E. of Kinnelon, two daughters, Cindy Lou Kulik of Wanaque and Doreen M. Mugavero of Vernon, four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral Mass, Monday, 1 PM, St. Anthony’s Church in Butler, Interment, Mount Calvary Cemetery, Butler. Turner, Richard Butler, 83, of Hewitt formerly of Wyckoff on Wednesday, July 11, 2007. Before retiring he was a self-employed photographer in Wyckoff. Mr. Turner was a charter member of US Coast Guard Auxiliary of Flotilla 10-13, an exempt fireman-Wyckoff Fire Dept Co. # 1, established and managed Wyckoff Fire Dept Band, a lifetime member of Wyckoff Lions Club, Wyckoff Chamber of Commerce, Ambulance Corp, Elks, Wyckoff Reformed Church and Newfoundland United Methodist Church. He was a civilian volunteer in the US Army Aircraft Warning Service. Surviving is a son, William E. Turner of Hewitt, two daughters, Patricia A. Burns of West Milford and Alice D. Ackerson of Wayne, 6 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his wife Florence (Doremus) (6/7/2007) and his parents Richard B., Sr. and Laura (Butler) Turner. Visiting at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Tyers, Caroline M. (Klein), 83, of West Milford (4 years), NJ formerly of Manchester Township (20 yrs) on Wednesday, August 15, 2007. Mrs. Tyers was a retired head teller for Staten Island Savings Bank, NY. Surviving are a son, Paul Tyers of High Bridge, NJ, a daughter, Karen Ronne of Greenwood Lake, NY, 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. Her husband John (2006) predeceased her. Warren, Eleanor (Manza), age 80, died Sunday, March 18, 2007 at her home in Riverdale, NJ. Mrs. Warren was a member of St. Mary’s Church, Pompton Lakes. She lived in Riverdale for 58 years and was the daughter of James and Jennie (Harty) Manza. She is survived by a son Charles J. of Round Rock, TX, four grandchildren and, one great-granddaughter. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles, her daughter Diana Baumann and a brother John Manza. Wilke, Kenneth W., 63, a shipping and receiving clerk for The Printers Place, Montclair, died Monday, October 1, 2007 at Care One in Wayne, New Jersey. Mr. Wilke lived in Butler, New Jersey for 15 years and was previously from Linden. He was born in Elizabeth, the son of Otto and Irene (Ruby) Wilke. He served in the Army during the Vietnam Era. He is survived by two sisters, Diana Coutts of Kinnelon and Barbara Jordan of Belford and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services 12:00 Noon Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Interment Rose Hill Cemetery, Linden. Allison, Donald, age 87, a long time resident of Pompton Lakes, NJ, died on January 31, 2007 in Myrtle Beach, SC after a brief illness. He moved to Myrtle Beach in 2002 from Port Orange, FL, where he and his late wife, Marjorie (1997) had retired in 1987. Mr. Allison was a member of the Pompton Lakes Board of Education and served as its Vice President. Mr. Allison worked for New York Life Insurance Co. for 41 years in the mortgage and loan dept. He was a member of the Pompton Lakes Republican Club and Christ Episcopal Church and served as an artillery instructor at Ft. Benning, GA and as a combat infantryman in Europe. He was the son of Walter and Laurette (Hurdy) Allison and had attended Seton Hall University. Surviving are sons, Donald and wife Carol of Lake Zurich, IL, David and wife Diane of Pipersville, PA; four granchildren, Steven D. Allison (Karen) of Irvine, CA, Kevin Allison of San Francisco, CA, Briana Allison of Harrisburg, PA and Susanne Allison of Lake in the Hills, IL: one brother, Malcolm (Karen) of Butler; one sister, Jean Rinehart of Hackettstown. He was predeceased by his brother, Bertram. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 6, 2007 at 10 AM at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Anderson, Patricia M. (Conklin), 57, of West Milford formerly of Wanaque on Sunday, August 12, 2007. Mrs. Anderson was an administrative assistant-accounts payable for Morris Industries, Pompton Plains. She is survived by her husband William, her mother, Tina Mandt Conklin of Wanaque, a son, David Anderson of FL, a daughter Lisa C. Anderson-Jenkins of West Milford, a brother, Nick Conklin and a sister Robin Conklin both of Wanaque and a grandson, Daniel William Jenkins. Her father Howard predeceased her. Arnold, Ruth (nee Banta), 77, died Saturday, July 14, 2007 at Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Russell and Josephine (Tattler) Banta. A resident of Pompton Lakes since 1946, she was a member of the VFW Aux. Pompton Lakes 2906, Grace Bible Church, Pompton Plains. She was retired from Nabisco, Fairlawn. Beloved wife of Joseph, devoted mother to Andrew Meyers of Paterson, George Meyers of Broadsheadville, PA, Linda Blackwell of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, Judie Buchalski of West Milford, sister of Russell Banta of Haskell and the late George Banta. Also survived by eight grandchildren, three great-grandchildren. Funeral services 11:30 AM Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Beatty, Robert A., 80, a retired heavy equipment operator for Operating Engineers Local 825, Clifton, NJ died Thursday, September 13, 2007 at Bethesda Hospital in Boynton Beach, Florida. Mr. Beatty lived in Lake Worth, Florida for 18 years and was previously from Pompton Plains. He is survived by his wife, Shirley; three sons, Douglas and (Shirley) of Boynton Beach, FL, Bruce and (Nancy) of St. Petersburg, FL, and Robert of Lake Worth, FL; a brother Edward of Toms River. Also survived by ien grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was the son of Robert and Helen (Stevens) Beatty. He served in the Navy during World War II. Funeral services 10:00 AM Wednesday, September 19, 2007 at Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Interment Laurel Grove Memorial Park in Totowa.
