Gagas, Anthony P., 84, a retired engineer for Picatinny Arsenal, where he worked for 33 years, died Wednesday, May 2, 2007 at his home in West Milford, New Jersey. Mr. Gagas lived in West Milford, New Jersey since 1979 and was previously from Pequannock. He was an Army veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife Carolyn (Spatts); two daughters, Patricia A. Grofcheck, of Hackettstown, NJ and Elizabeth Kievit of Tunkhannock, PA; two brothers, Richard of Kenilworth, NJ, and Robert of Crestview Hills, KY; three sisters, Blanche Bear of Boca Raton, FL, Delores Liddy of Cranford, NJ and Dorothy Brudecki of Sneedville, TN; a granddaughter, Jennifer and a great-granddaughter, Emma. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Doris in 1975. He was the son of Anthony and Blanche (Pasko) Gagas. Visitation will be held at Richards Funeral Home on Friday from 7-9 PM. Funeral services Saturday, May 5, 2007 at 11:30 AM at Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Interment Christ The King cemetery in Franklin Lakes.

Gardiner, Patricia A. (Ryerson), 73, Corporation Secretary & Treasurer for National Trade Shows, Riverdale died Thursday, October 11, 2007 at her residence. She was a member of St. Mary’s Parish and CCD teacher, Riverdale Business Association, and Riverdale Girl Scouts. Mrs. Gardiner lived in Riverdale, NJ for 44 years and was previously from Pompton Lakes. She was born in Passaic, the daughter of Peter and Rita (Conklin) Ryerson. She is survived by her husband William, her mother, Rita C. Ryerson, a son, William Phillip Gardiner, seven daughters, Rita Vigneault, Joan Gardiner, Mary Villano, Althea Aranda, Patricia Montani, Alice Mickens, Evelyn McAndrews, a brother, Peter F. Ryerson and twenty-four grandchildren. Funeral liturgy 12:00 Noon Saturday, October 13, 2007 at St. Mary’s R.C Church, Pompton Lakes. Interment at St. Joseph's cemetery in West Milford. Friends may call Friday 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. In lieu of flowers, donations to benefit "The Patty G Home for Autistic Adults", 205 Glenshire Court, Apex, N.C. 27502 would be appreciated. Checks should be made payable to "The Maison Group, Inc."

Garrabrant, Edytha M. (Parcell) age 86 of West Orange, NJ died on Monday, May 28, 2007 at Mountainside Hospital, Montclair, NJ. A resident of West Orange since 1999, she was formally from Clifton. A 1947 graduate of Paterson State Teachers College, she was employed by the Pompton Lakes Board of Education as a school teacher for 32 years and was a member of the NEA. Surviving are one son, William Pettenger of Ringwood, NJ: 3 step-sons, Chris Garrabrant of CT, Robert Garrabrant of Bloomfield, NJ and William Garrabrant of Denville, NJ; 2 step-daughters, Patricia Schweighardt of AZ and Joan Stefanic of Bloomfield, NJ; 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. Predeceased by her husbands, Joseph Pettenger and Christopher Garrabrant. Graveside services on Thursday, May 31, 2007 at Vaughan Cemetery, Sparta, NJ at 11:30 AM. Friends may call at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale on Thursday from 9:30 – 10:30 AM.

Meudt, Gerhard, 77, of West Milford formerly of Rockaway Township on Monday, October 22, 2007. Mr. Meudt was owner-operator of Rotgers Church Interiors, Rockaway Township. He is survived by his wife, Margot (Werner); a son, Jeffrey of Rockaway Township; two daughters, Patricia Pace of Verona and Vivian Meudt-Stiff of Annandale; two brothers, Denny and Werner Meudt; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Marion Salassa. Mr. Meudt was born in Germany the son of the late Karl and Sofie (Wincer) Meudt. Visiting at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford on Thursday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral liturgy Friday, at 10:30 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. Gindert, Anton, 76, on Wednesday, June 27, 2007 beloved husband of Margot (Rosinger) of West Milford, father of Maryann Waibel and husband Kenneth and Marguerite Virgintino and husband Michael, brother of Theresa Braun, stepbrother of Hans Haas and cherished grandfather of Emily and Jenna Waibel and Danielle Virgintino. Mr. Gindert was a retired tool & die maker at Boston Scientific, Wayne (2000-01) and International Nickel Co., Sterling Forest, NY (1968-86) and he had been a fabricator at Meadox Medical Inc., Oakland (1987-2000). He was a 54 year member of Kolping Catholic Society. Born in Germany to the late Otto and Theresa (Aigner), Mr. Gindert lived in Ridgewood, Queens, NY before moving to West Milford, NJ 43 years ago. Memorial Mass on Saturday, July 7, 2007 at 10:30 AM from Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. Omit flowers. Donations may be made to Hospice of NJ, 400 Broardacres Drive, 4th Floor, Bloomfield, NJ 07003.

Goll, Paul C., 69, of West Milford died Monday July 23, 2007. Beloved husband of Joan (Barbagallo) Goll. Loving father of Edward Goll and Mary Grace. Brother of Richard Goll and Dorothy Pedrick. Mr. Goll was active in the Pinecliff Lake Association, a former volunteer with the Boy Scouts Troop 44, West Milford, and a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Peace Church in Hewitt. A funeral liturgy will be held on Thursday, July 26th, 11 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. Entombment at Laurel Grove Memorial Park, Totowa. Visiting hours Wednesday 2-4 and 7-9 PM at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. Hurley, Donald B., 86, died on Friday, September 14, 2007. Originally a summer resident, Don retired to Pinecliff Lake Community Club, where he has been an active member for over 50 years. Born and raised on Staten Island, New York, he was a graduate of St. Peter’s High School in 1939, and Manhattan Colege in 1943 with a BS in Business Administration. Don served in the United States Army from 1943-1945 during WWII in the European Theatre as a Corporal with the 321 Fighter Control Squadron. After serving our country, Donald spent the next 40 years in Banking as an International Comptroller for Citibank. He was President of the Holy Name Society of Sacred Heart Parish, Staten Island where he was one of the Founding Fathers of the Spartan Athletic League. Donald was also an active member of Our Lady Queen of Peace Parish, Hewitt NJ. Don was predeceased by his loving wife, Mary J. Cox, his brother, Rev. John A Hurley, and sister Constance Hurley. He is survived by his sister Mary J. Zarrilli; his five children: three sons, Donald B., John A. Thomas J., two daughters, Mary T. Gaffney and Patricia H. Kane, fifteen grandchildren; two great grandchildren and loving nieces and nephews. Funeral liturgy on Monday, September 17, 2007 at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt at 11 AM. Junta, Andrew W., 80, a mason for Masons Union 44, Ridgewood, died Tuesday, October 30, 2007 at his home in Butler, New Jersey. He retired 25 years ago. Mr. Junta was a member of Rock Tavern Rod & Gun Club, Rockland, NY. Born in Paterson, Mr. Junta lived in Butler since 1959 and was previously from Wyckoff. Beloved husband of Joan, devoted father of Catherine Junta & her husband, Ronald Gagnon of Richmond, VA. He was the son of the late William and Isabelle (Crowder) Junta. He served in the Navy during World War II. Funeral services Friday, November 2, 2007 at 8:30 P.M. at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale. Disposition private. Kacprzycki, Tessie (Szumski), 95, of West Milford formerly of Lyndhurst on Friday, November 2, 2007. Mrs. Kacprzycki is survived by a daughter, Halina Szulecki of West Milford; a sister, Mary Gozdowski in Poland; six grandchildren, John, Jr. and Paul Szulecki, Janice Martellacci, Andrea Wehrenberg, Stephen and Brandon DeBellis and 12 great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband, Walter, a daughter, Regina DeBellis and a granddaughter, Holly DeBel. Funeral Liturgy Monday 12:30PM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, Hewitt. Poole, Kathleen A. (Denny), 39, a self-employed freelance graphic artist on Wednesday, November 14, 2007. Mrs. Poole was born in Ridgewood and lived in Ringwood before moving to West Milford in 1998. She is survived by her husband Scott, her parents, Hugh G. and Anna Mae (Balsarus) Denny; two brothers, Michael of Ringwood and Stephen of Greenwood Lake, NY and a sister, Patricia Hillman of Midland Park. Final disposition private. Memorial service Saturday 8:30 PM at the Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford. Visiting Saturday from 2-4 & 7-8:30 PM.

Miller, Cecelia H. (Van Orden), 88, a retired waitress for Branscombs Resturant, Pompton Lakes, died Thursday, April 12, 2007 at Chilton Hospital in Pequannock, New Jersey. She was a member of the Pompton Lakes Seniors. Mrs. Miller was a lifelong resident of Pompton Lakes. She was the daughter of Charles and Agnes (Struble) Van Orden. She is survived by three sons, Roger and Lloyd, Jr. of Pompton Lakes, NJ, Ronald of Belmar; a daughter, Patricia Lees of California; two sisters, Alice Pecoriello of Staten Island, NY and Joyce Mac Dougall of NY; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Lloyd (Zeke), her father, Charles Van Orden, and her mother, Agnes Struble. Visitation will be held at Richards Funeral Home on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM. Funeral services at the Richards Funeral Home, 4 Newark Pompton Turnpike, Riverdale on Sunday, April 15, 2007 8:30 PM at Richards Funeral Home. Rev. Tom Bartha of Pompton Reformed Church will be officiating.
