Anita Nastuk
Manasquan resident Anita Nastuk [nee Parcaro], changed her residence to the mansion that her savior has gone to build for her [Matt 14:2].

A long time sufferer of PSP [Suprenuclear Palsy], relief came of this little known dreaded disease on April 30.

She was born on March 7, 1930 in Newark, but more importantly, was reborn on July 17, 1977, when she dedicated her life to Jesus.

Anita grew up in Kearny and North Arlington. She graduated Kearny High School in 1948. She moved to Manasquan in the 50’s and met her husband, Myron, and was married for 48 years. Anita was a multifaceted person to say the least. Her varied interests included oil painting, poetry, art, deisgning, sewing, Bible study, travel, reading, writin and just being so wonderfully concerned over everybody else but herself. She was intensely devoted to her family. Rearing her sons was a very primary part of her life. She had a most soothing and beautiful singing voice, which many nights brought sleepy eyes to her children. She was always there after school with her unparalleled smiling face as she greeted them gladly overjoyed in their presence.

She was a member of the Church of the Nazarene of Paramus and Hope Community in Manasquan. Her illness finally prevented her from attending. We read in any notices the degrees attained by others. Nita’s degree was in motherhood. Motherhood - it is probably the most undervalued by society, in whoch few serve so lovingly. I reiterate her love of Jesus, which was so obvious in her charitable and unflinching love of everyone. Her illness and Christian witness has mended so many divisions and cemented relationships that were long lasting as II Cor. 5:8 says, “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord.”

This is now her life, unfettered and free as a butterfly, emerging from its cocoon. Her husband Myron and her family rejoice in this to the utmost. The heavens rejoice with her. As it says in John 21:25, There are many other things that could be written, but I suppose, not even the world could contain all the information about precious Anita.

Anita was predeceased by her parents, Mae and Michael Parcaro.

Anita is survived by her husband, Myron. Anita birthed four sons, Lawrence, Matthew, Christopher and Michael. She is also survived by her loving sister, Mona Kirk; two nieces, Judy Micioni and Karen Bruton, and several great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held Saturday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Orender Family Home for Funerals, 2643 Old Bridge Road in Manasquan.

The funeral service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday at 7 p.m.

Officiating for the service will be Charles Rizzo, Joe Santucci and Mike Morgan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to PSP.org.

Condolences and memories can be e-mailed to the funeral home’s website at www.orenderfamilyhome.com.
