Patricia A. DiMarsico
Wall Township resident Patricia A. DiMarsico, whose brother lives in Point Pleasant, died Monday, March 5, in Jersey Shore University Medical Center, Neptune.

She was 67 years old.

Born in Jersey City, she lived in North Bergen for many years before moving to Wall in 1962.

She was employed as the food service manager with Wall High School for many years before retiring in 1985.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church, Colts Neck.

She was a member of the Pride of Wall Seniors. She was on the board of directors of the North Wall Little League and Wall Pop Warner. She also volunteered her time and skill of cooking for Wall High School athletic teams.

Mrs. DiMarsico was a talented singer and once sang at Carnegie Hall in New York City.

She was predeceased in 1986 by her husband, Thomas.

Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Patrick and Jennifer, and Michael and Gina, all of Wall; two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Kevin McDermott, Wall, and Annette and Shawn Doyle, Manahawkin, Stafford, one brother, Philip Seneke, Point Pleasant; two sisters, Ronie Seneke, Jackson, and Rosemary Grimaldi, Lakewood; and nine grandchildren, Shawn, Phillip, Meaghan, Kaitlin, Mackenzie, Bailey, Hannah, Thomas and Nicholas.

Funeral arrangements are from the O'Brien Funeral Home, Wall. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. today in the funeral home. Interment will be private.

Contributions in Mrs. DiMarsico’s memory may be made to the Scleraderma Foundation, P.O. Box 399, Watonville, CA 95076, or to the Wall Excellence Foundation, P.O. Box 1613, Wall, NJ 07719.

Thomas J. Schaad
Thomas J. Schaad Sr. 76, of Sea Girt died Tuesday May 31, 2011 at Meridian at Wall.

Born in North Arlington, Thomas was raised in Kearny and Spring Lake, and resided in Sea Girt for the past 55 years. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Mary C. Schaad in January of 2011, and his brother Richard Schaad.

Surviving are his 11 devoted children and their spouses; Thomas Jr. and wife Mary of Howell, Timothy of Brick, Sean and wife Robin of Island Heights, Patrick and wife Cathy of Brick, Ryan and wife Shelly of Raleigh, N.C., Mary Catherine Schaad of Sea Girt, Mary Colleen Cox and husband Gregory of Berryville, Va., Mary Kelly Parker and husband Mark of Snellville, Ga., Mary Eileen Liberatore and husband Christopher of Brick, Mary Erin Schaad of Sea Girt, and Mary Nora Marino and husband Vincent of Brick, his two brothers Robert Schaad of Neptune City, Joseph Schaad of Ponte Verde, Fla., his 18 grandchildren and one great-grandson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at the O'Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Hwy. 35 at New Bedford Rd., Wall. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at St. Catharine’s Church Spring Lake, burial will follow in St. Catharine's Cemetery, Sea Girt.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to the American Heart Association P.O. Box 417005 Boston, MA 02241-7005.

Harry S. Megill
Harry S. Megill, 63 of Wall passed away Tuesday May 24 at his home.

Harry was a lifelong resident of Wall Township. He was a graduate of Wall High School, a truck driver for Harris Brothers, Wall for 28 years.

Upon his retirement, Harry was the co-founder of Meg Wheels, Wall. Harry was the former owner of Meg Racing Team No. 83. He mostly raced all over the state of New Jersey. Harry was an avid Yankee fan.

Harry was predeceased by his parents, Earl Sr. and Mabel Megill.

He is survived by two brothers, Earl Jr. and John, both of Wall.

Harry is also survived by three nephews, Douglas Megill and his wife Catherine of Wall, Daniel Megill and his wife Margaret of Gilbertsville, Pa., and Thomas Megill and his wife Natali of Point Pleasant; one great niece Cara; three great nephews Douglas, Ryan and Thomas, Jr.

Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan, was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in Greenwood Cemetery, Brielle.

Gordon C. Fisher
Gordon C. Fisher, 65, of Manasquan, passed away Saturday May 28 at Manor by the Sea, Ocean Grove.

He was born in East Orange to his parents Charles and Ann, née Prout. Gordon was a 50 year member of the First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan.

He was a lay pastor who offered loving care to shut-ins and the sick. He was the head usher for the 8 a.m. worship where he warmly greeted people for church each week. He was an active member of the Presbyterian Men’s Prayer Group where he regularly oversaw the prayer needs for the community and members of the congregation.

Gordon is known throughout the community as the No. 1 Wall Knight fan. He attended almost every Wall High School sporting event, which started in the days when he earned a high school letter as the manager of the boys basketball team.

Gordon was a graduate with a BS from Rider College. He worked in retail sales until his retirement. He served at Stern’s in Ocean Township at Seaview Square Mall and moved with Stern’s to the Monmouth Mall in Eatontown. He later worked at Boscov’s until his retirement. Gordon was also a member and past president of the Wall Kiwanis.

Gordon was predeceased by his parents Charles and Ann. He is survived by a cousin Bob Degnan and two nieces Sarah and Meadow.

Arrangements are under the direction of Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan. A Funeral Service will be held Thursday, June 2, at 7:30 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church of Manasquan. A repast will follow in the Fellowship Hall at the church to celebrate Gordon’s life. Entombment will be Friday 10 a.m. at Atlantic View Cemetery, Manasquan. Francis A. Prettyman
Francis A. Prettyman, the “Legend, ” 94, of Wall, passed away on Friday, May 27 with his family by his side.

Frank was born in Jersey City, moved to Bloomfield where he resided for 20 years before moving to Sea Girt. Frank served with the Essex Troop during World War II. He was inducted in January 1940 at Ft. Jackson, South Carolina and went overseas in September 1942. Frank fought in campaigns in Italy, Africa and France. Holder of the Purple Heart and Bronze Star, he was cited by the French and American military commanders for his courage and abilities. In 1994, his troop was honored by the town of Montrevel, France for its liberation on their 50th anniversary. On Veterans Day 2009, he received the Legion of Honor medal from the French Consulate for his contributions to the liberation of their country during World War II.

After the war, he was employed by Pan American World Airways as a staff accountant for over 30 years. Upon retirement he was a major force in raising funds for the restoration of the Sea Girt Lighthouse. He served as a Trustee for St. Mark’s Roman Catholic Church for 12 years and was a member of the Holy Name Society. He served as a Eucharistic minister and was a pillar of the Church.

Frank is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Angela, loving children Dennis and Renee Prettyman of Elmwood Park, Jim Prettyman of Wall, Michelle and John Kerestan of Wall, Catharine and Robert Meskin of Middletown, Margaret and Stephen Geiger of Fair Haven and his cherished grandchildren Emily, Alex and Grace Geiger, and Jonathan and Jordan Meskin.

Visitation will be at O’Brien Funeral Home, 2028 Highway 35, Wall on Thursday from 4-7 p.m. A funeral mass will be held at St. Mark’s Church, 215 Crescent Parkway, Sea Girt on Friday at 9:30 a.m., followed by burial at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Wall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Frank’s name to the Wounded Warriors, PO Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517.

Bernard J. Olson
Bernard J. Olson, 92, of Spring Lake, passed away at home on Thursday, May 19.

Born in Newark, he grew up in South Orange, wintered in Palm Beach, Fla., and resided in Spring Lake. He was an Army Vet [marksman rifleman] and an entrepreneur. He was a licensed cosmetologist and state teacher of cosmetology of NJ. He owned and operated Bernard’s Hairdressing, The Peacock, Spring Lake Car Polishing and Bike Shop and The Candy Girls Gift Shop [which was named after his four daughters].

He leaves behind his loving wife of 51 years, Gloria Jean Petkavich Olson, five children and nine grandchildren; Mark Olson and children Ariel and Aaron of Wall Township, Tamara Olson and children Lacey and Saharra of Spring Lake, Amaris Olson and children Alisha, Kaden and Bryce of Spring Lake, Marissa Olson and children Samara and Manny of Spring Lake, and Shala Olson of Spring Lake. He also leaves his sister in-law Bernice Natiello of Spring Lake, along with her children and grandchildren of Pennsylvania, brother in-law Peter Petkavich and wife Marie of Toms River and their children and grandchildren, and sister in-law Teresa Petkavich of Brennonsville.

In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Andrews Methodist Church of Spring Lake. O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall, was in charge of arrangements.

David Pisarcik
David Pisarcik, 49, of Wall, passed away Tuesday May 24. David was born in Illinois and was raised in Neptune. He attended Holy Innocents Grammar School and graduated from Ocean Township High School. There he played football, basketball, and did shot put in track and field. David was a coach for North Wall Little League and Special Olympic Basketball for several years. He also coached and was a board of director for many years in Wall Pop Warner Football and Cheer. David always involved himself coaching his children’s teams, whether it was baseball, football or basketball. David worked for Canon for 15 years and most recently for Ricoh Business Solutions, Iselin, as a major account executive. He enjoyed fishing, was an avid sportsman and loved cooking especially for his children’s friends. David was a wonderful husband, father, and uncle and loved being around his children and their friends.

David was predeceased by his father James Pisarcik.

He leaves behind his loving wife Tricia of Wall; two sons, David James and Matthew Robert, also of Wall; his daughter Katherine of Wall; his loving mother Leanore of Ocean; two brothers James Pisarcik and his wife Beth of Tinton Falls, and Donald Pisarcik and his wife Rebekah of California; and his sister, Karen Molloy and her husband William of Tinton Falls.

David also leaves behind several nieces and nephews; Alicia, Amy, AJ, Amanda, Faith, Sarah, Nicole, Kristen, Taylor, Lauren, Aly, Jen, Christopher, Robert, Robbie, Michael, Nick, Danny and Peyton, as well as several grand-nieces and nephews.

Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan, was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.

Carolyn Imburgia
Carolyn Imburgia, of Brielle, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Thursday, May 26. She was born in Queens, N.Y., and raised her family in North Plainfield until 1996, when she built her retirement home in Brielle.

Carolyn worked as an executive secretary on Wall Street in her 20s. After raising her three children, Carolyn continued her career at Chubb Custom Market in Warren.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 39 years, Anthony C. Imburgia.

Carolyn is survived by her three children; Patricia VanKeuren, and her husband Kevin, of Hillsborough, Jane Imburgia of Point Pleasant Beach, and Charles Imburgia, of Hillsborough, and her grandchildren, Ryan, Kelly, Casey and Connor.

The O’Brien Funeral Home, Wall, was in charge of arrangements. Interment was in St. Anne’s Cemetery, Wall.

Flowers gladly accepted or donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 400 Morris Ave., Suite 251, Denville, NJ 07834-1365.

Roy R. Clayton
Roy R. Clayton, 74, of Wall Township, died on May 29.

Born in Neptune, he remained a lifelong resident of the shore area. Roy worked in the construction industry before retiring.

Predeceased by his beloved wife Carol Clayton in 1996, Roy is survived by his daughter Jennifer Clayton of Wall Township. On Thursday at 10 a.m. Funeral Services will be offered at the Johnson Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 2652 Highway 138 Wall Township, on the westbound side adjacent to the Rt. 18 north entrance, followed by entombment at Monmouth Memorial Park Rt. 33 Tinton Falls.

Donations in memory of Roy can be made to the Assembly of God Full Gospel Church Mission Fund 2649 E. Hurley Pond Road Wall Township, NJ 07719.

Mona Reagan
Mona Reagan [nee Pentico], a Brielle resident, passed away in Gurnee, Ill. on May 29.

She was with her daughters, Susan [Bob] Quick of Little Egg Harbor and Sylvia [Robin] Killian of Chicago, Ill., at the time of her death.

Mona was a long-time New Brunswick resident before retiring to Brielle. Born and raised in Kansas, she married Vincent [Red] Reagan, a well-known second generation New Brunswick firefighter in Santa Anna, Calif. in 1943. As Red left for WWII, Mona left her “Rosie the Riveter” job and moved to New Brunswick to join the Reagan family and begin her married life. A New Brunswick resident for 38 years, she was a working mom and active in St. Peter’s Church and School activities with her daughters. After moving to Brielle in 1982, she was active in political and conservation efforts in the Brielle area. She will be remembered for her loving kindness, ability to build lasting friendships, and her devotion to her pet Casey.

She was preceded in death by her husband Red in 1993, and is survived by her two daughters and son-in-laws, seven grandchildren: Regan Killian, Seamus [Joann] Quick, Josh [Kelly] Killian, Zach [Ashleigh] Killian, Aidan [Michi] Quick, Conor [Edan] Quick Adams, and Declan [Justin] Quick Counter, and seven great-grandchildren: Quinn Killian, Georgia Killian, Violet Quick, Cooper Killian, Tristan Adams, August Quick, and Landry Killian.

Visitation will be Thursday, June 2 from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m. at Boylan Funeral Home in New Brunswick. Burial will be Friday, June 3 following a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peters Catholic Church in New Brunswick.
