Daniella M. Daniels
Daniella M. Daniels, 36 of Philadelphia, Pa., formerly of Wall Township, passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Dec. 7 in Philadelphia, Pa.

Daniella was born in Point Pleasant, and had resided in Wall Township for many years, attending Wall High School and was a flag twirler for the Color Guard. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Asbury Park.

She was predeceased by her father, Kenneth Daniels Jr.

Surviving is her mother, Evelyn Daniels, of Point Pleasant and her son, James Daniels, of Point Pleasant and her brother, Kenneth Daniels III, of Howell.

All services will be private at the convenience of the family with burial in Wall Church Cemetery, Spring Lake Heights.

Arrangements are under the direction of the O’Brien Funeral Home, Brick.

Charles D. Boylan
Charles D. Boylan, “Chuck” age 77, of Wall Township, died on Dec. 14.

Born in New York, he moved to the shore area in 1958. A veteran of U.S. Navy from 1952 to 1955, he served as a radio operator on the U.S.S. Joseph P. Kennedy.

Mr. Boylan was an operations director with the Procurement Office at Fort Monmouth of Eatontown for 38 years before retiring in 1998.

He was predeceased by his son, Edmund Tobin Boylan, in 1970.

Mr. Boylan is survived by his cherished wife, Claire M. Boylan, his loving children Charles D. Boylan III and his wife, Lisa, and Shannon E. Cox and her husband, Scott T.

Mr. Boylan is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Brendan T., Jocelynn H., and Liam P. Boylan, Isabella K., and Sophia C. Cox, in addition to his nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held on Thursday from 4-8 p.m. at the Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Service, 2652 Highway 138 westbound, Wall Township, adjacent to the Rt. 18 north entrance.

On Friday, services will be held at 9:15 a.m. from the funeral home, followed by a 10 a.m. funeral Mass at Holy Innocents Roman Catholic Church, 3455 West Bangs Avenue, Neptune.

Entombment will follow at St. Catherine Mausoleum, 1000 West Chicago Blvd., Sea Girt.

Kenneth J. Lutz
Kenneth J. Lutz, 88, of Point Pleasant, passed away on Nov. 19.

Ken was born and raised in Newark, the son of George and Friederike McGuines Lutz. He graduated from Central High School in 1941 and served proudly in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He married Mary Jane Mullock on Oct. 26, 1946. They had two children: Diane Elaine and Richard Kenneth Lutz. They resided in Haskell and Pompton Lakes before residing in North Arlington for more than 30 years.

They relocated to Point Pleasant about 10 years ago. Ken was an electrician by trade and often worked as a maintenance foreman. He always took pride in the quality of his work whether he was at work, at home or volunteering. He and his wife volunteered for many years at their local hospitals in Kearny, Point Pleasant and Brick. They were very active at Queen of Peace Church in North Arlington and St Peter’s Church in Point Pleasant Beach. He particularly enjoyed the senior groups.

Their son Richard predeceased him in 2006 and his wife, Mary Jane, predeceased him on December 30, 2009. He died at the age of 88 after a brief illness at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He is survived by: his daughter, Diane Lutz Garcia of Albuquerque, New Mexico; his grandsons, Eric and Kyle Lutz and his daughter-in-law, Dale Vaughn, of Tustin, California; his nephew and wife, Thomas and Jacqueline Mullock of Blue Bell, Pennsylvania; his nieces, Barbara Mullock Wagner of Kent, Ohio and Sharon Mullock Taylor of Redding, California. He also leaves behind many friends and other family members throughout the country.

A memorial service will be held after the Thanksgiving holiday. Please contact Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home of Point Pleasant Beach for further details.

George Allen Woolley Jr.
George Allen Woolley Jr., 71, of Manasquan, passed away at his home on Thursday, Nov. 11.

George was born in Wayside and lived in the Shore area most of his life. He lived in Point Pleasant for 23 years and Onancock, Va. for five years, before moving back to Manasquan in 1995.

George worked as an auto mechanic for 20 years at Vince Auto Repair, Brick and Winter Yacht Basin, also in Brick, as a mechanic and parts manager, retiring in 2005. George was an exempt firefighter for Point Pleasant Boro Company No. 2. He was owner and operator of AAA Tree Service in Point Pleasant for many years. George was an avid hunter, enjoyed boat racing, mile auto drag racing, boating and fishing. He enjoyed the companionship he had with his two dogs Lucy and Jax.

George was predeceased by his parents George Sr. and Gladys Woolley, two sisters, Betty Longo and Gloria Basile DeOliveira and a brother Sidney Woolley.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Marybeth Dillon Woolley of Manasquan; two daughters and two sons-in-law, Christine and Vinny O’Rourke and Cindy and Bill Dikun, both of Point Pleasant Boro. He is also survived by two grandsons Ryan and Tyler O’Rourke; two nephews and their spouse James and Anne Longo, Michael and Ellen Basile.

Orender Family Home for Funerals, Manasquan, was in charge of arrangements. A fireman’s service was held Sunday, Nov. 14 at the funeral home. Interment followed at St. Catharine’s Cemetery, Sea Girt.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Manasquan First Aid, 64 Broad St., Manasquan, 08736 or Point Pleasant Boro Fire Company No. 2, 1206 Beaver Dam Road, Point Pleasant, 08742.

William A. Gill
William A. Gill, formerly of Sea Girt, died Thursday, June 14 at Francis Asbury Manor in Ocean Grove. He was 91.

Born in Newark, he lived in Hillside, Madison and Sea Girt, before moving to Ocean Grove three years ago.

Mr. Gill was a CPA and was the Director of Appraisal and Evaluation for Arthur Anderson in New York City for many years before retiring in 1989. He was a WWII veteran of the United States Army and was a member of the PT Boaters, the CPA Organization and a former volunteer for the Madison Fire Department for many years. Bill was a longtime member of the Manasquan United Methodist Church. He was the Church Auditor, past President and longtime member of the United Methodist Men and was the Finance Chairperson for many years.

Mr. Gill was pre-deceased by his first wife, Ahdrah and his second wife, Iris.

He is survived by his son, Donald and his wife Melanie, of Boonton, two daughters, Carol Bicknell and her husband Eugene, of Stan Hope, and Marilyn Gill, of Madison; his step-daughter, Sally Outwin, of Freehold; two brothers, Reverend James L., of Maine, and Louis and his wife Priscilla, of Orlando, Fla.; four grandchildren, Joshua Bicknell and his wife Kimberly, Amanda Forest and her husband Jason, Brian and Douglas Gill; three great grandchildren, Adrian, Rowen and August; three step-grandchildren, Christin Outwin and her husband Daniel, Scott Outwin, and Todd Outwin and his wife Johanna; three step-great grandchildren, Cayla, Paul and Lola and several nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Neary-Quinn Funeral Home in Manasquan. Interment took place at Atlantic View cemetery in Manasquan.

Stephen J. Lackett
Stephen J. Lackett, of the Allenwood section of Wall Township, passed away Thursday, June 14, at home. He was 60.

Born in Neptune, he was raised in Freehold and then moved to Allenwood 28 years ago. Stephen graduated from Freehold Boro High School and The University of Maryland. He had been a self-employed General Contractor who built the house he and his family lived in. He recently retired from Verizon as a Regional Project Manager.

He was a devoted husband and father. He cherished the years he spent traveling to watch his sons play high school and college sports. Stephen loved to golf and was a huge fan of Maryland Terrapin athletics.

He was predeceased by his father William A. Lackett, surviving is his devoted wife of 34 years Joanne Garvey Lackett; his two loving sons, Christopher G. and wife Amanda, of Westfield, and Michael S. Lackett, of Hoboken, and fiancée Denise Coughlin; his grandson Graeden Lackett; his dear mother Virginia Blades Lackett, of Freehold; his siblings Michael and his wife Marylou, of Melrose, Mass., Jeffrey, of Freehold, Judy Wade and her husband William, of Springfield, Va.; his brother in law Brian Garvey, of Conowingo, Md., ;six nieces and nephews and one grand-niece.

Arrangements were under the direction of the O’Brien Funeral Home in Wall followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Mark’s RC Church in Sea Girt. Cremation was private.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to The Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675 or The Arthritis Foundation, P.O. Box 96280 Washington, D.C. 20077-7491.

Gregory Gaissert
Gregory Michael Gaissert, with family in Manasquan, passed away at home on Thursday, June 7. He was 51.

Gregg was born in Perth Amboy and lived in Edison and Kendall Park for most of his life, moving to Lakewood five years ago. He was the owner of Kindness Dog Training.

He is survived by his beloved daughter, Gina Niccole Gaissert, his loving mother and father, Eileen Gaissert, of Lakewood, and Carl Gaissert, of Kendall Park. He is also survived by his aunt and uncle, Dorothy and Michael Budzek, of Manasquan, his uncle Alfred Gaissert, of North Carolina, a dear friend, Jerry Stampiglia, of Edison and many cousins and their families.

He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Grace and Walter Vereb and paternal grandparents, Louise and Herman Gaissert.

Arrangements were under the direction of Orender Family Home for Funerals in Manasquan.

Kevin Joseph Holmes
Kevin Joseph Holmes, of Wall Township, died on Tuesday, June 12 at the Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. He was 60.

Mr. Holmes was a painter and owned Holmes Sweet Home in Wall for many years. He was a graduate of State University of New York at Buffalo. He was a communicant of St. Mark’s RC Church in Sea Girt and St. Denis RC Church in Manasquan. Mr. Holmes was born and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y. before moving to the Jersey Shore 25 years ago.

He was predeceased by his parents Joseph and Patricia Holmes.

Surviving is his loving wife of 22 years Joan [Docker] Holmes; son Michael Holmes at home; four brothers Richard Holmes and his wife Arleen, of Manalapan, Paul Holmes and his wife Anna, of Arizona, Bryan Holmes and his wife Teri, of Ohio, and Christopher Holmes, of Massachusetts. He also leaves his aunt Margaret O’Toole of Brooklyn, N.Y., brothers in law and sisters in law Barry and Nancy Goldstein and Edward and Terri Docker as well as many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were under the direction of the O’Brien Funeral Home in Wall. A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Denis RC Church in Manasquan. Burial was at St. Anne’s cemetery in Wall.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in his name to the South Wall Little League, PO Box 13, Allenwood.

John Wyckoff
John D. Wyckoff, formerly of Manasquan, passed away on Saturday, June 9. He was 86.

Jack was born in Irvington and lived in West Orange and Manasquan before moving to Brick.

Jack was employed for 47 years with Newark District Telegraph, now Wells Fargo, as an alarm specialist. A member of the Brick Presbyterian Church, he was also an avid outdoorsman.

He is predeceased by his grandson, Timmy Eland.

Surviving is his wife of 62 years, Norma B. Wagner; his son and daughters, John B. and his wife Linda, of Andover, Gayle P. and her husband Kevin, of Northport, Fla., and Cathy N. Eland and her husband Tim, of Heightstown; his grandchildren, Tara Wyckoff, Dana Reinhart, Kristen Sheppard, Wayne Melervey, and Melany Kerrigan; his great-grandchildren, Angela Wyckoff, Owen Reinhart, Russell Sheppard, Joseph Eland, Nolan Reinhart and Abigail Sheppard; and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Jersey Shore Cremation Service in Manasquan. Memorials in Jack’s name may be made to The Brick Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 111 Drum Point Rd., Brick.

Virginia Porter
Virginia “Joyce” Porter, of Sea Girt, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, June 17. She was 81.

Joyce was born in Jersey City and grew up in Rutherford before moving to Sea Girt over thirty years ago.

Joyce was a runway and print model for Shipman & Baker in New York City in the 1950s. After moving to Sea Girt she was an active member in the Sea Girt Woman’s Club. Joyce was an avid movie watcher and her favorite actor was the “Duke” John Wayne. She was well known even in her later years for being able to identify lesser known actors and actresses, and took pride in her ability to remember them. She was a lifelong fan of the New York Giants and loved seeing her GMen play football every autumn.

The family would like to thank the special people in her life, Herb Porter, of Manasquan, Phyllis Lohrum, of Middletown, R.I., Sheryl Haberstroh, of Brick, Mary Lyons, of Sea Girt, Life Choice Hospice, of Manasquan, and her caregiver and friend, Gala Neskubina for their love and support.

She is survived by her three children, Herbert “Buzz” Porter, of Sea Girt, Jill Milne, of Wall, Scott Porter, of Westfield; her son-in-law, Scott Milne, of Wall; and her five grandchildren, Tyler Savage, Connor Savage, Mackenzie Savage, Jessica Porter and Jackie Porter. Also, her beloved four-legged companion, Gaylord.

Arrangements were under the direction of the Jersey Shore Cremation Service in Manasquan. Joyce was a loving, giving mother and friend who leaves behind a beautiful legacy. A private Celebration of Life service with family and friends will be held at a later date.
