Winifred O’Boyle Rhodes
April 5, 2009
Winifred O’Boyle Rhodes, age 72 of Fords, passed away peacefully on Sunday at home with her loving family at her side. She was born in Jonestown PA and had resided in Perth Amboy before moving to Fords 15 years ago.
Wini was a Registered Nurse at Urological/Surgical Associates in Edison for 16 years. She had previously worked at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy for 30 years and as a Supervisor Operating Room Nurse for the last 20 years.
She was a graduate of Pottsville, PA Catholic High School, Class of 1954 and Perth Amboy General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1957. She drove the senior citizen van for St. Mary’s Church in Perth Amboy.
She was predeceased by her sister, Elizabeth Schappell and her brother, Lawrence O’Boyle.
Surviving are her husband of 51 years, William F. Rhodes, her daughters and sons-in-law, Kathleen A. and John Giacopasi of Edison, NJ and Kelly A. and Christopher Matera of Point Pleasant, NJ and her four grandchildren, Caitlin and Devin Giacopasi and Kylie and Michael Matera. Also surviving are her brothers, William of Bergenfield, Raymond and Gervase of Minersville, PA and Robert of Washington, DC, her sister, Claire Wagner of Minersville and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Tuesday, April 7, 2009 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
Funeral Service: Wednesday, April 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery, Metuchen.
Memorial contributions may be made to: The American Cancer Society.

Magdalene Resetar
March 22, 2009
Magdalene Resetar, age 83 of Fords, died on Sunday at Lennox Hill Hospital in Manhattan, NY. She was born in and was a lifelong resident of Woodbridge Township.
Mrs. Resetar was an Assembly Line Worker for Revlon in Edison for over 20 years, retiring in 1988. She was a former member of Holy Rosary Church in Hopelawn and a member of the Holy Rosary Senior Citizens. She was a communicant of our Lady of Peace Church in Fords.
She was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Resetar who died in 1990 and her sister, Mary Ivan.
Surviving are her three children, Robert Resetar of Fords, NJ, Linda Karas of Manahawkin, NJ and Carol Strako of Florida, her six grandchildren and her sisters, Rose Amaczi and Elizabeth Savoia.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 25, 2009 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 23 Ford Avenue, Fords, NJ.
Funeral Service: Thursday, March 26, 2009 at 10:00 a.m. followed by a 10:30 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Peace Church, Fords.
Interment will be in Holy Trinity Cemetery, Hopelawn.

Carol L. Pasquariello
March 6, 2009
Carol L. Pasquariello, age 65 formerly of Union, died on Friday at Medford Care Center in Medford.
Carol was a school teacher for 25 years with the Newark Public School system, retiring in 1998.
Surviving are her son, Gabriel Pasquariello of Union, her brother, Jerome Davis of Jackson, her niece and several cousins.
Funeral Service: Sunday, March 8, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in the Temple of Israel Mausoleum in Beth Israel Cemetery, Woodbridge.

Kathryn A. Orlando
March 27, 2009
Kathryn A.Orlando, age 68, died on Friday at her home in Somerset, NJ. She was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Somerset since 1971.
Kathy was a retired school teacher from the Samuel E. Shull School in the Perth Amboy. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1958 and received her Bachelors of Education and Masters Degree from Kean College. She was a member of the Metuchen Golf and Country Club and a member of the W.M.G.A. (Womens Metropolitan Golf Association).
Surviving are her husband of 44 years, Stephen Orlando Jr. of Somerset, her brothers, Samuel V. Convery Jr. of Long Branch, Hon. James B. Convery of South Brunswick, Clark W. Convery of Normandy Beach and John J. Convery of Seattle, WA, her mother-in-law Eleanor Orlando of Bridgewater and her sister-in-law, Barbara Chicurel of Naples, FL. Kathy is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Sunday, March 29, 2009 7:00-9:00 p.m.; Monday, March 30, 2009 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Funeral Service: Tuesday, March 31, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:15 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. Francis Cathedral, Metuchen.
Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway.

harles S. Nappi, Jr.
February 24, 2009
Charles S. Nappi, Jr., age 62 of Iselin, died peacefully on Tuesday after a long illness. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY moving to Edison in 1974 and then to Iselin 5 years ago.
Charlie was a retired Benefits Specialist who had worked in the Human Resources Department for Chase Manhattan Bank in New York. He was a veteran of the US Army, serving during the Vietnam War. He loved going to the beach and was an avid New York Yankees fan.
He was predeceased by his parents, Charles, Sr. and Antoinette Nappi and his sister, Theresa Kramer
Surviving are his daughters and son-in-law, Erica and John Puskarik of Freehold, NJ and Jennifer Nappi of Hoboken, NJ, his brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Nina Nappi of San Diego, CA, his former wife, Frances Wood of Woodbridge, NJ and his nieces, Lisa Nappi of San Diego, CA and Deborah Rushton of Franklin Square, NY. He will be missed.
Funeral Service: Private services will be held on Thursday, February 26, 2009.

Cremation will follow.

Arthur Muhlbacher
March 23, 2009
Arthur Muhlbacher, age 86 of Fords, died on Monday in JFK Hartwyck at Edison Estates in Edison. He was born in Newark and had resided in Fords for over than 50 years.
Mr. Muhlbacher was an employee of Princeton University. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during WWII.
Surviving are his wife of 34 years, Ann C. Muhlbacher and his brother, William Muhlbacher of New York.
Visitation: Wednesday, March 25, 2009 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Dorothy Anita McCartney
March 16, 2009
Dorothy Anita McCartney, age 88, died on Monday at her home in the Menlo Park Terrace section of Woodbridge. She was born in Yonkers, NY and had resided in Menlo Park Terrace for the last 52 years.
Mrs. McCartney was a Senior Stenographer for 23 years at Roosevelt Hospital in Edison, retiring in 1983.
She was predeceased by her brother, Frederick A. Danback who died in 2003.
Surviving are her children, Judith Anita McCartney and Kenneth Howard McCartney and her eight grandchildren, Ellen Paloti and her husband Andrew J. III, Ann Marie Stollmeyer, Penny Stollmeyer of Edison, John Stollmeyer and his wife Angela, Kelly Lee Weber, Kenneth Edward McCartney and his wife Betsy, Lauralynn Radlein and her husband Stephen, Dawn Burke and her husband David. Also surviving are her seven great-grandchildren, Jon Scott Bierman, Caitlin and Stephen Radlein, LoLa and Maxwell Burke, Emily and William McCartney and her brother, Larry Danback.
Memorial Visitation: Sunday March 29, 2009 2:00-4:00 p.m. with a service at 3:00 p.m.

Grace Malkus
March 31, 2009
Grace Malkus, age 88, died on Tuesday at her home in Fords where she had been a resident for 18 years.
Grace was a Homemaker who devoted her time to her family. She was a graduate of Perth Amboy High School, Class of 1938 and a member of Simpson United Methodist Church in Perth Amboy.
She was predeceased by her husband, Eugene Malkus who died in 1966.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Richard E. and Barbara Malkus of Florida and her two grandchildren, Christopher and Nicholas.
Funeral Service: Funeral services will be private
