Ann “Peggy” Avagliano, age 91 of Iselin, died on Thursday in Haven Hospice at JFK Medical Center in Edison. She was born in Newark and resided in Colonia until moving to Iselin 1 year ago.
Mrs. Avagliano was an Assembly Worker at Regina in Rahway for 25 years retiring in 1980.
She was predeceased by her husband, Thomas Avagliano who died in 1970.
Surviving are her daughter, Dolores Tagliarini of Fords, her two grandchildren, Tina Toomey and John Tagliarini, her four great-grandchildren, Marisa, Angelina, Nicholas, and Roman, her sisters, Margaret Neri of Colonia and Rose Neri of Piscataway and her brother, Frank Menza of Belleville.
Funeral Service: Saturday, February 28, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at St. James RC Church, Woodbridge
Cremation will be private.

Felicia Chepe Ascue
April 7, 2009
Felicia Chepe Ascue, age 79 of Perth Amboy, died on Tuesday at her daughters home. She was born in Lima, Peru and had resided in Perth Amboy for the past 42 years.
Felicia was a retired Machine Operator at Revlon in Edison. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima RC Church in Perth Amboy.
Surviving are her daughters and sons-in-law, Felicia D. and David Rodriguez of Perth Amboy, Ana M. and Luis Rivera of Avenel and Lia and Hugo Berrospi of Perth Amboy, her seven grandchildren, Martin, Erick and Tania Bailon, Tony and Kristy Rivera and Sarina and Justin Rodriguez and her sisters, Gregoria, Victoria and Rosa Chepe.
Visitation: Monday, April 13, 2009 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.
Flynn and Son Funeral Home, 424 East Avenue, Perth Amboy, NJ.
Funeral Service: Tuesday, April 14, 2009 at 9:30 a.m. followed by a 10:00 a.m. Funeral Liturgy at Our Lady of Fatima RC Church, Perth Amboy.
Burial will be in Alpine Cemetery, Perth Amboy.

Irene Ambrozewycz
February 20, 2009
On February, 20, 2009 Irene passed away at home surrounded by her family after a long illness, where she was embraced by the angels to receive her eternal reward. She was 81 years old. Irene was born in Rahway, NJ, the daughter of Anna and Dymytro Wowk.
A graduate of Perth Amboy High School in 1945, Irene was employed by Flagstaff Foods and Perth Amboy Savings Institution and retired from banking from Bankers Savings, as an Assistant Branch Manager. Irene was not content to retire from working. She started working part-time for the Perth Amboy Board of Education as a Secretary at the McGuiness School, eventually working there full time. She was also a member of the Ukrainian Catholic Church’s Choir Boyan and a member of the “Ghost Girls” Social Club.
She was predeceased by daughters, Lydia and Laura, her parents, Anna and Dymytro Wowk, her husband Roman Ambrozewycz who died in 1996 and her two sisters, Julia Fedynyshyn of Fords and Mary Dobush of Perth Amboy.
Irene is survived by Douglas and MaryJane of Dunellen and Roman and Cathy of Carteret. She also was blessed with two grandchildren, Katherine Laura, attending Fairfield University in Connecticut and Adam Douglas, attending the Pennsylvania College of Technology in Williamsport Pennsylvania.
Visitation: Sunday, February 22, 2009 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Mildred H. Warshany
August 19, 2008
Mildred H. Warshany, age 79 of Edison, died on Tuesday at Raritan Bay Medical Center in Perth Amboy. She was born in Bayonne and had resided in Edison for the past 53 years.
Mrs. Warshany was a Homemaker who devoted her time to her family and from 1984-1996 she worked as a Sales Associate for JC Penny in Woodbridge Mall. She was a communicant of Our Lady of Peace RC Church in Fords, a member of Our Lady of Peace Blue Army and a charter member of Our Lady of Peace Bowling League. She was also a past Auxiliary President of the Fords Clara Barton Baseball League, a member of the Clara Barton First Aid Squad, a former Brownie Leader of Troop 36 and den mother of Cub Pack 25.
She was an avid bowler, enjoyed gardening and the beach and most of all cherishing the time she spent with her grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband, Michael W. Warshany who died in 1985.
Surviving are her sons, Richard, David, John Warshany of Edison and Robert Warshany of Chapel Hill, NC, her daughter, Patricia-Ann Eak of Bayville, NJ, her seven grandchildren, Keith, Daniel, Meghan, Erin, Joseph M., Thomas and Michael W., her sister, Estelle Coppola and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Friday, August 22, 2008 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

Sandra Ann Parker
August 9, 2008
Sandra Ann Parker, age 60 of Raritan, died on Saturday at Somerset Medical Center. She was born in Ashland, PA and had resided in Raritan for the past 56 years.
Mrs. Parker was a Machine Operator with L’oreal Cosmetics in Somerset for 20 years, retiring in 2005. She was a member of St. Peter’s Episcopal Church in Perth Amboy, a former member of Bradley Gardens Woman’s Auxiliary Fire Department and an avid bowler at Majestic Lanes in Woodbridge.
She was predeceased by her father, Robert Heiber.
Surviving are her husband of 31 years, Wayne Parker, her mother, Anna Piscarik of Raritan, her stepbrother, Robert Heiber of Pennsylvania, thirteen nieces and nephews and eleven great nieces and nephews.
Visitation: Wednesday, August 13, 2008 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m. with the Litany at 7:15 p.m. St. Peter’s Episcopal Church

Theresa Ann Matye
August 9, 2008
Theresa Ann Matye, age 77 of Sewaren, died on Saturday at Genesis Health Care in Westfield. She was born in Perth Amboy and had resided in Sewaren for the past 49 years.
Theresa was a homemaker who devoted her time to her family and loved to cook for them. She was a communicant of St. Anthony’s RC Church in Port Reading.
She was predeceased by her husband of over 50 years, John S. Matye who died in 2002.
Surviving are her son and daughter-in-law, Michael J. and Karen Matye of Sewaren and her daughters and sons-in-law, Christine and Clarence Neumann of Middletown and Carol and Victor Janson of Iselin. Also surviving are her brother, George Kopko of Perth Amboy, her granddaughter, Melissa Matye of Peoria IL and her two great-grandchildren, Kayla and Dustin.
Visitation: Tuesday, August 12, 2008 2:00-4:00 & 7:00-9:00 p.m.

August 23, 2008
Irene B. Gray, age 89, died on Saturday at her home in Edison. She was born in Newark and resided in Fords before moving to Edison in 1955.
Mrs. Gray retired 23 years ago after working for more than 20 years with Middlesex County College as a Custodian. She was a communicant of the Church of the Guardian Angel in Edison. She was also a member of Teamsters Local # 11 Chauffeurs, Warehousemen and Helpers of America in Jersey City and the Edison Township Senior Citizens Club.
She is predeceased by her two husbands, William Freedman and Aaron Gray and her brothers, Peter, Francis, and Stanley Drost.
Surviving are her twin daughters, Doris Vecchione and her husband John of Springfield, NJ and Dolores Lucska of Toms River, NJ her two grandsons, Christopher Vecchione and his companion Lisa of Springfield and Brett Lucska of Toms River and her great-grandson, Justin Traver of Kissimmee, FL
Visitation: Tuesday, August 26, 2008 4:00-7:00 p.m.
